Instructions for Use
-
Remove the basket from the base.
-
Using the measuring cup provided, measure out exactly 200 ml of water and pour it into the base.
Caution: The volume of water must be exactly 200 ml. If there is too much water in the base, sterilization will not work properly. Conversely, if there is too little water, the sterilizer or microwave oven could be damaged. -
Insert the basket back into the base.
-
Fill the basket.
Before placing items to be sterilized in the basket, wash them thoroughly in the dishwasher or by hand in hot water with detergent. Remove any milk residue.
Caution: Make sure that all components to be sterilized are completely disassembled. Put items such as bottles in the basket with the hole facing down so that they do not fill with water. When sterilizing breast pumps, be careful not to insert the electrical parts of the pumps into the sterilizer. Only sterilize items that are suitable for sterilization.
Caution: Do not place individual objects too close to each other. For sterilization to be effective, steam must circulate around the objects.
Caution: Never insert metal objects into the sterilizer. -
Cover the sterilizer with the lid and secure the lid in the correct position by pushing down the clips.
-
Place the sterilizer in the microwave.
Caution: Make sure the microwave oven is clean and dry before sterilization.
Caution: If you use a microwave with a grill function for sterilization, do not turn on the grill function. If you have just used the grill function, wait for the microwave to cool down and then insert the sterilizer. -
Set the appropriate power and time (see table „Sterilization time according to microwave power“) and switch on the microwave.
Caution: Never exceed the maximum sterilization time listed in the table below.
Sterilization time according to microwave power:
Power consumption | Sterilization time | Cooling time |
---|---|---|
1 200 W to 1 850 W | 2 min. | 5 min. |
850 W to 1 100 W | 4 min. | 5 min. |
500 W to 800 W | 6 min. | 5 min. |
-
When the process is complete, open the microwave and wait for the sterilizer to cool. Only then remove it from the oven using oven gloves.
Caution: Be careful as hot steam may come out of the microwave oven.
Caution: Hold the sterilizer straight to avoid spilling hot water and place it on a cutting board or on any heat-resistant surface.
Caution: If you do not remove the sterilizer lid, items inside will remain sterile for up to 24 hours. -
Open the clips and remove the lid.
-
Remove the bottles and other items from the basket. Pull out small objects with the tongs.
Caution: Be careful because hot steam may come out of the sterilizer and sterilized items may be very hot.
Caution: Always wash your hands thoroughly before removing items from the sterilizer. -
After removing the sterilized items, pour out the remaining water, rinse the base and basket thoroughly, and wipe all parts dry.
Maintenance
Clean the lid, basket and base after each use to prevent limescale build-up.
Caution: Allow the sterilizer to cool before cleaning.
Caution: Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or aggressive
liquids such as bleach, benzine, or acetone to clean the sterilizer.
- Wash the individual parts of the sterilizer in hot water with detergent. You can also wash the individual parts of the sterilizer in a dishwasher.
- After cleaning, wipe all parts dry and store the sterilizer in a clean and dry place.
