IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
Read all instructions before using this cushion.
DANGER — To reduce the risk of electric shock:

• Always unplug this cushion from the electrical outlet or vehicle cigarette lighter socket immediately after using and before cleaning.

WARNING — To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:

• The unit should NEVER be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• DO NOT fold cushion excessively, bunch, or twist in any way as this will cause overheating, which could result in burning or fire.
• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over sensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.
• Failure to unplug the unit while the vehicle is off may deplete your vehicle’s battery.
• If excessive heating should occur, discontinue use and call customer service.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
• Keep dry— DO NOT operate in a wet, moist environment, or around water.
• DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
• NEVER use pins or other metallic fasteners with this appliance.
• NEVER operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug.
• To avoid damaging internal components, DO NOT wrap the power cord around the unit or place heavy objects on any part of the unit that may crush its mechanisms.
• DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or disabled persons.
• DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electrocution, or injury to persons.
• NEVER use while sleeping or fall asleep while using the product.
• If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before using this product.
• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the lower half of their body.
• DO NOT use this product as a substitute for medical attention.
• DO NOT use on an infant, child, disabled person, sleeping, or unconscious person.
• This appliance is intended for household use only.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

SAFETY FIRST

With the implementation of the new heating coil and larger/redesigned patented pressure pad, we have made this cushion as safe as possible. As a safety feature, the cushion will automatically shut off after 60 minutes. To continue heating, turn it off and then on again. The DC adapter has a built-in fuse to protect the cushion from overload and an LED on the DC plug to show when it is receiving power.
When seated on the Luxury Heated Seat Cushion, the red LED on the controller will illuminate indicating that the seat cushion is heating. When heating reaches maximum temperature (45.6 °C (114°F) controlled by thermostat), the LED will diminish, indicating that the heating has momentarily turned off to allow for cooling. Once the heating coils have cooled down to a safer temperature, the heating will resume again.

INSTALLATION

Connect the metal hooks (sewn to the seam of the cushion in a small bag) to each strap. Slide straps on rear of cushion over back of car seat. Attach each hook to a location under seat or to opposing hook.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• As a safety feature, the cushion will automatically shut off after 60 minutes. To continue heating, turn it off and then on again.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
• Never immerse the product in water.
• Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning materials, as these may damage the product and create an electrical safety hazard.
• When not in use, store the product in a secure place away from sharp objects, excessive heat, dampness or other conditions which may cause damage or soiling.
• Do not twist or wrap the power cord around the product.
• DO NOT fold cushion excessively, bunch, or twist in any way as this will cause overheating, which could result in burning or fire.
• Disconnect DC cord when not in use.
• This product has no user serviceable parts.

SPECIFICATIONS

The WAGAN Corporation warranty is limited to products sold only in the United States.
Warranty Duration:
Product is warranted to the original purchaser for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date, to be free of defects in material and workmanship. WAGAN Corporation disclaims any liability for consequential damages. In no event will WAGAN Corporation be responsible for any amount of damages beyond the amount paid for the product at retail.
Warranty Performance:
During the warranty period, a product with a defect will be replaced with a comparable model when the product is returned to WAGAN Corporation with an original store receipt. WAGAN Corporation will, at its discretion, replace or repair the defective part. The replacement product will be warranted for the balance of the original warranty period. This warranty does not extend to any units which have been used in violation of written instructions furnished.

This warranty is in lieu of all warranties expressed or implied and no representative or person is authorized to assume any other liability in connection with the sale of our products. There shall be no claims for defects or failure of performance or product failure under any theory of tort, contract or commercial law including,but not limited to negligence, gross negligence, strict liability, breach of warranty, and breach of contract.
