CAUTION : It is advisable to test the depth on a scrap workpiece to determine the required depth for the application. To determine depth of drive, first adjust the air pressure and drive a test fastener. Never exceed 110psi.

  20. Firing the tool
The tool is equipped with a selectable trigger with two firing modes:
    SEQUENTIAL FIRING MODE
Single sequential actuation provides the most accurate 2. fastener placement. This is considered to be more restrictive mode of operation, suitable for less experienced users. 3. Connect tools to the air source. To use the tool to drive nails in this actuation mode, work 4. Pull and hold the trigger with the tool off the work contact element and trigger must be used in a specific piece. order. 5. Press the work contact element against the work

  21. Disconnect tools from the air source. piece. A nail will be driven.

  22. Turning the selectable Firing Mode Switch (G) in the upwards position, the firing mode indicator should be pointing at the single nail icon.

  23. Connect tools to the air source.

  24. The work contact element must be completely depressed by placing the nose of the tool against the workpiece.

  25. The trigger must be pulled firmly and then released.

  26. The tool must be allowed to recoil away from the workpiece.

To continue operation in a separate location, move the tool along the work peiece, repeating step 4 through 6. Selectable Firing Mode Switch(G) in sequential fire mode position

Note : If the trigger is pulled before the work contact element is depressed, the tool will not operate.

CONTACT ACTUATION MODE
Contact actuation allows very fast repetitive fastener placement. To use the tool to drive nails in this actuation mode the work contact element and trigger can be actuated in any order.

  1. Disconnect tools from the air source.

  2. Turning the selectable Firing Mode Switch (G) in the downwards position, the firing mode indicator should be pointing at the multi-nail icon.

  3. Connect tools to the air source.

  4. Pull and hold the trigger with the tool off the work piece.

  5. Press the work contact element against the work piece. A nail will be driven.

  6. The tool must be allowed to recoil away from the workpiece.

  7. Move the tool along the work piece with a bouncing motion. Each time the work contact element is depressed a nail will be driven.

  8. As soon as the desired number of nails has been driven, remove finger from trigger.freeman gauge stapler fig 8
Note : This actuation mode is recommended when less precise nail placement is required. Extreme care should be taken because a nails will be driven when the work contact element is pressed against any surface. Since the tool can be actuated without removing the finger from the trigger, this is considered to be a less restrictive mode, suitable for more experienced users.
WARNING : Remove the finger from the trigger when not driving nails. Always carry the tool by the handle only.

    • The tool must be allowed to recoil away from the workpiece. Do not drive a nail on top of another nail.
    • During normal use the tool will recoil immediately after driving a fastener. This is a normal function of the tool. Do not attempt to A prevent the recoil by holding the tool work. Restriction of the recoil can result in a second fastener being driven from the tool. Grip the handle firmly and let the tool do the work. Failure to heed this warning can result in serious personal injury.
    • Always know the operational mode of the tool before using it. Failure to know the operational mode could result in death or serious personal injury.
