CONTENTS OF BOX
- Fountain
- 1 x Water Pump/Transformer Combo unit
INSTALLATION
The unit must be completely assembled & filled with water before turning on the power.
- Place your water feature on a flat surface, free from any sharp objects.
- Take the water tube attached to the fountain (inside the item) and connect it to the water pump/transformer combo unit.
- Next, you’ll be connecting the light power supply cord from the fountain to the pump/transformer unit. You can find the cord for the light power supply inside the item. Connect the cord to the pump/transformer, then tighten the ring around the connection.
- Place the water pump, along with the water tube and light cords, back inside the fountain to protect them from weather elements.
- Gently pour water into the fountain tank, being careful not to overflow and cause splashing. Make sure the water completely submerges the pump. Always keep the plug dry, do not expose the plug to water or steam.
- NOTE: We recommend that you use distilled water to prevent scale build-up. The first time you operate the pump, it can take a few minutes for the air to expel completely and the water flow to begin.
- Dry your hands, then plug your fountain into a power outlet and enjoy!
- Don’t forget to add water regularly as the water will evaporate over time.
CAUTION: NEVER LET THE PUMP RUN DRY!
- Always unplug the pump from the electrical outlet before cleaning & handling.
- Use with clean water only, do not place the fountain and/or parts in any other liquid.
- Periodically change water & clean the pump to keep it free from microorganisms.
- Disconnect and store the unit in a dry place if not in use for an extended period of time or during freezing weather.
- Do not operate the fountain in temperatures below 41° F / 5° C.
- Do not use the pump in water exceeding 86° F / 30° C.
- Do not lift, carry or pull the pump by the power cord.
- Do not exceed the maximum voltage & wattage on the transformer.
- Do not use the pump with flammable liquids.
- Do not use the pump for industrial purposes.
- Do not use the pump in vehicles, ships, aircraft, or swimming pools.
- Do not use the pump in a location where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere.
- Do not lift the pump by its power cord.
- Always keep the plugs dry, do not expose the plug to water or steam.
- Before connecting to the power source, make sure that the pump is assembled correctly and submerged in water.
- Do not exceed the voltage shown on the pump.
- Check the water level regularly to ensure that the pump is completely immersed during operation. The pump should be fully submerged while the fountain is on. Do not add water while the fountain is on. Always disconnect the pump from the power source before adding water.
MAINTENANCE
- If debris is caught in the pump’s intake vents, disconnect from any power source, then rinse the pump under clean running water.
- Use this pump with distilled water only. Mineral build-up from tap water or other water sources can cause build-up in the pump.
- We recommend occasionally putting a sterilizing tablet into the water feature to prevent bacteria. You can find this at your local hardware store.
- Clean the water fountain regularly.
- Never use a harsh cleaning agent or chemical solutions. These could impair the function of your fountain.
- Our recommended cleaning agent for removing stubborn lime-scale deposits is using household distilled white vinegar and water.
- After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
What if the pump does not turn on?
- Check that the pump is connected and switched on.
- Check that there is adequate water in the reservoir; the water should always be about 6 inches (15cm) above the pump to ensure necessary water flow.
- Check that the pump has no debris inside.
What if the water is not flowing properly?
- Check that you have plenty of water in the reservoir, so there is enough pressure.
- Check for kinks or bends in the water hose.
What if the lights are not working?
- Confirm that all the lights are connected.
- If the light module has failed completely, seek replacement by contacting our customer service department.
