Introduction

This UM series is a (Digital) UHF Wireless Microphone System. It produces outstanding sound quality with sufficient wireless transmission distance. Automatic frequency pairing makes it easy to set up and operate. Best choice for YouTube video recording, Podcasting, conference speech, online chatting, vocal recording, etc., anywhere wireless audio transmission with the easy setup is required.

Mini Transmitter

Operation Instructions for PC/laptop

Make sure the transmitter has a sufficient battery. Choose the desired external microphone included (mini mic or lavalier mic) and plug it into the input jack on the Bodypack Transmitter.

Press the Power button to turn on the Bodypack Transmitter.

Plug the USB receiver into the USB port of the PC/Laptop. 4 green LEDs will be lighted showing the microphone paired successfully (optionally the USB receiver allows real-time monitoring by plugging a headphone to the 3.5mm jack at the bottom)
Usually, your Windows /Mac OS would automatically recognize and set it as the default audio input device. However, you can also do it manually following instructions shown on our website www.alvoxcon.com/support if your computer fails to set it automatically.

Operation Instructions for Android Phone

Make sure the transmitter has a sufficient battery. Choose the desired external microphone included (mini mic or lavalier mic) and plug it into the input jack on the Bodypack Transmitter.

Press the Power button to turn on the Bodypack Transmitter, the POWER indicator lighted blue indicates normal battery level while red indicates the low battery level.

Plug the USB receiver into the Android phone via the included Type-C adapter, The receiver will automatically pair with the microphone. 4 green LEDs will be lighted showing the microphone paired successfully (optionally the USB receiver allows real-time monitoring by plugging a headphone to the 3.5mm jack at the bottom)

Run APPs such as Recorder or Camera then start the microphone recording project now.

NOTE: Original Camera APP of old Android version (lower than 10.0) may not activate the external microphone, so like ‘ Open Camera ‘ APP is recommended for video recording, which allows setting external microphone as the audio source. APP download URL https://opencamera.sourceforge.i0/

After recording, DO NOT forget to unplug the microphone when you playback the recorded media.

Operation Instructions for iPhone

[OnlyAvailable for Model UM – 310]

Make sure the transmitter has a sufficient battery. Choose the desired external microphone included (mini mic or lavalier mic) and plug it into the input jack on the Bodypack Transmitter.

Press the Power button to turn on the Bodypack Transmitter, the POWER indicator lighted blue indicates normal battery level while red indicates the low battery level.

Plug the USB receiver into the iPhone via the included silver OTG Lightning adapter The receiver will automatically pair with the microphone. 4 green LEDs will be lighted showing the microphone paired successfully (optionally the USB receiver allows real-time monitoring by plugging a headphone into the 3.5mm jack at the bottom)

Until 3 seconds after plugging well, you can start to run APPs such as Zoom or Camera then start the microphone recording project now.
NOTE: Don’t worry about the high temperature on the OTG adapter, which is a normal phenomenon of Fast Heat Dissipation Design.

After recording, DO NOT forget to unplug the microphone when you playback the recorded media.

Operation Instructions for Live Project with Speaker

Power the USB receiver by plugging it into any power source such as a computer, power bank, or wall plug with a USB socket. The receiver will automatically pair with the microphone. 4 green LEDs will be lighted showing the microphone paired successfully

Connect the external speaker to the USB receiver via a TRS 3.5mm plug cable (non-included), make sure the speaker is powered on and volume is turned down.

Make sure the transmitter has a sufficient battery. Choose the desired external microphone included (mini mic or lavalier mic) and plug it into the input jack on the Bodypack Transmitter.

Press the Power button to turn on the Bodypack Transmitter, the POWER indicator lighted blue indicates normal battery level while red indicates the low battery level.

Now you can test the microphone. and adjust the volume on the bodypack transmitter or external speaker properly to avoid uncomfortableness.

Handlin Precautions

  1. The product adopts advanced UHF wireless transmission technology, delivering stable performance and anti-interference. However, we cannot ensure 40M(130ft) working distance with interference-free in any condition Please use it in the open air and far away from any other wireless devices (Including Alvoxcon wireless system)

  2. Each Alvoxcon wireless bodypack transmitter is preset with multi selectable In case of interference(signal drop out), Please change frequency to avoid interference according to the following instructions.
    [a] Turn on the bodypack transmitter,
    [b] Press shortly both the up & down volume control buttons on the bodypack transmitter at the same time then the Power indicator flash for one time.
    [c] You can repeat operation [b] until you find the new frequency is clean and no interference. The receiver will automatically pair with the transmitter. ( RF indicator lighted in green )

  3. DO NOT run any other wireless microphone system (of any brand) while this Alvoxcon microphone system is working in case of interference. Even if another wireless microphone system is set with different frequencies from that of the working Alvoxcon wireless system.

  4. iPhone OTG adapter is exclusively included for the model UM310-PRO. Don’t worry about the high temperature on the OTG adapter, which is a normal phenomenon of Fast Heat Dissipation Design.

  5. The battery of your iPhone may run out very fast when working with this microphone system, please remember to charge your phone in time.

  6. If the microphone is covered by a hand or approaches the speaker, a howling sound may be generated. This phenomenon of howling is caused by the microphone picking up the sound from the speaker. To prevent this first decrease the volume. Do not place or point the microphone directly to the speaker, keep a suitable distance to alleviate howling.

  7. DO NOT store this microphone system in a place with Ugh temperature or humidity.

1). 4 RF indicators on the receiver cannot be lighted in green continuously
2). Sound is not clear or with noise or drop out
3). Insufficient wireless distance, even less than 15ft (5m)| Check if the bodypack transmitter has sufficient battery, and an external microphone has been plugged in the transmitter. Volume button being set properly
4). Bodypack transmitter can not be powered on (or POW lighted red)| Adjust the antenna of the USB receiver vertically to get a better signal
5). No sound while 4 green led on receiver stay continuously
(WORKING WITH PC)| Might be caused by interference from other wireless devices nearby. please change for another frequency. (refer to. Page 7)
Check if the bodypack transmitter has sufficient battery
1). Check if the USB microphone is recognized as an audio input source by your Windows / Mac OS. And just the volume properly.
2). Make sure the USB receiver is plugged into the USB 2.0/3.0 port rather than the Type-C port of the Macbook.
6). No sound while 4 green led on receiver stay continuously (WORKING WITH ANDROID PHONE)| 1). Original Camera APP of the old Android version (lower than 10.0) may not activate the external microphone, so like ‘Open Camera’ APP is recommended for video recording, which allows setting external microphone as audio source ( refer to www.alvoxcon.com/support)
2) Do NOT forget to unplug the microphone when you playback the recorded media.
3) Check if your phone requires to activate the OTG function in the setting menu.
7). No sound while 4 green led on receiver stay continuously (WORKING WITH SPEAKER LIVE)| Make sure the external speaker is connected well and volume is being set properly
8). Purchased 2 sets of alvoxcon microphone, but cannot be used simultaneously| 2 sets can not run at the same time unless being 100ft away from each other
9). Screaming or howling sound| Turn down the volume from the bodypack transmitter. Do not place or point the microphone directly to the speaker. Don’t cover the microphone by hand or approaches the speaker

If any problem occurs during operation, please power off the main device and Alvoxcon wireless microphone, then power off the receiver and unplug.
