ACTIVATING RF
There is no specific host device, but the remote will communicate with an app
running on iOS or Android. The app will be used in the setup of the remote,
and will also keep an up-to-date version of the Device Status table.
This product shall support the following features:
- Auto Setup
- Manual Setup
- Optimized Setup Maps (OSM)
The following are descriptions of the Quickset features: Auto Setup: Quickset
allows for the auto setup of the RCU by identifying devices connected through
the HDMI network. The RCU is programmed automatically over the RF link.
Manual Setup: Quickset allows for manual selection of a Brand for
programming of devices without having to go through Auto Detection and
Programming. The RCU is programmed automatically over the RF link.
Optimized Setup Maps : OSM assists the user with a UI flow to program a
TV or Audio device in the RCU. After the user selects a brand through the UI,
the RCU software and Quickset allow for the testing of functions by the user.
The RCU is programmed over the RF link after the appropriate feedback is
observed by the user.
