PRODUCTS COVERED BY THE LEAFLET

This manual has been prepared to serve as a user manual for products with a HI 6102A HEPA extraction unit and in particular:
– HI-HEPA
– HI-HEPA Mobile Bec
– HI-HEPA Mobile Coupole
– Roulette HEPA

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCTS

The device is a filtration system for fumes, particles, and gases. It has one / two extraction arms and is used during different types of processes such as soldering, marking or laser cutting, printing, etc., to filter harmful substances such as hydrocarbons, cyanide, etc.

For optimal efficiency, it is designed with a triple filter system: pre- filter, medium filter, and main filter including a HEPA filter (very high efficiency) and a gas filter. Pre-filter with a large ASHRAE surface and medium filter can filter larger particles to extend the life of the main filter. The HEPA filter purifies the gases and particles filtered by the pre- filter and then directs them into the gas filter, which, thanks to activated charcoal and potassium permanganate, filters the harmful substances and rejects the purified.

Advantages
The device is simple to use and does not encumber the workstation.
Triple filter system: filters hazardous substances to ensure the health and comfort of the operator. The prefilter and main filter can be changed separately to extend filter life and lower costs.

Built-in air recycling system to avoid exhausting cool outside air
Low noise and long-life brushless fan with high airflow.
Two inputs to connect 2 suction arms.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capabilities are impaired; or persons without experience or knowledge, unless they have been able, through a person responsible for their safety, to have prior surveillance or instructions concerning the use of the device.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

WARNING: BEFORE ANY INTERVENTION (FOR EXAMPLE FILTER REPLACEMENT) BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE HOOD.

– Avoid aspiration of liquids as well as acid products. In case of error, immediately stop operation, clean and dry the splashed parts thoroughly, before restarting the installation.
– Avoid the aspiration of the flames. These can damage the Filter as well as the booth.
– Avoid contact with very hot or incandescent parts.
– Avoid working in a damp room.

INSTALLATION / MOUNTING OF EQUIPMENT

The unit is supplied with its filters already installed.
Before use, make sure to open the filter compartment, remove the prefilter, the medium filter, and the main filter. Remove the protective foam on the underside of the main filter dedicated to protecting the filter during transport.

START-UP AND OPERATION

Connect the power plug to the unit. Adjust the suction arm (s) to the workstation where the unit will filter air.
After turning on the control panel by pressing the power button on the side of the unit, the display shows the level (1-10) of the selected airflow.
The airflow can be adjusted using the control remote control, and when the remote control is turned off, the display will show “OFF”.
CAUTION: Remove the foam under the main filter before using the unit for the first time.
The upper part must be tightened correctly using the four locking levers.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

a) LED indicator message
Symptom: The LED displays circularly clockwise “□” and the alarm of the device starts, the fan is still running but the air flow is very low.
Reason: This may be due to the fan output, being blocked for about half an hour or because the main filter has no effect.
To do: Turn off the power to the unit, remove the top and check if the fan outlet has been blocked, and clean the other parts if necessary. Turn the unit back on and check if the arrival is still blocked. In this case, the filter must be changed.
b) Change of filters
Particulate filters
Particulate filters must be replaced as soon as the LED indicates that they are dirty.
It is then necessary to proceed to the successive replacement of the prefilter, then of the medium filter, and finally of the main filter.
Activated carbon filter
The main filter has a HEPA compartment and an activated carbon compartment. The saturation of activated carbon depends on the volume of substances (VOC, gas, etc.) filtered. It is recommended to change this filter every 6 to 12 months, or more often if intensive use. It is up to the user to determine the replacement frequency based on their experience and empirical observations.
