Important Safety Instructions,

Danger

  • Don’t allow water or any other liquid or flammable detergent to enter this unit to avoid electric shock or a fire hazard.
  • Don’t clean the unit with water or any other liquid or a (flammable) detergent to avoid electric shock or a fire hazard.

Warning

  • First, check whether the voltage indicated on the back or bottom of this unit is in conformity with the local mains voltage before plugging the unit into an electric outlet.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified personnel to avoid hazards
  • Do NOT use the unit if the plug, power cord, or the unit itself is damaged.
  • This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
  • Do NOT block the air inlet/outlet. For example, do NOT place objects on the air outlet or right in front of the air inlet.

Caution

  • This unit is not a substitute for normal ventilation, regular vacuum cleaning or use of the kitchen ventilator while cooking.
  • If the power socket used to power the unit has poor connections, the plug of the unit may become very hot. Make sure the unit is plugged into a properly connected power socket.
  • Always place and use the unit on a dry, stable, level, and horizontal surface.
  • Leave at least 20cm of free space behind and on both sides of the unit and leave at least 30cm of free space above the unit. Do not place the unit near curtains to avoid blockage of the intake air.
  • Do not place any object on top of the unit
  • Do not place the unit directly below an air conditioner to prevent condensation water from dripping into the unit.
  • Make sure all the filters have been correctly installed and the package removed before turning the unit on.
  • Only use original filters specially designed for this unit by our company. Do not use any other filters.
  • Avoid knocking against the unit (the air inlet and outlet in particular) with hard objects.
  • Always lift or move the unit by the handle at the back of the unit.
  • Do not insert fingers or other objects into the air inlet.
  • Do not use this unit in places with oily residues, flammable gases or chemical fumes or where you have used indoor spay-type insect repellent.
  • Do not use the unit near gas appliances, heating devices or fireplaces.
  • Always unplug the unit after use and before cleaning it.
  • Do not use the unit in a room with major temperature changes as this may cause condensation inside the unit.
  • Always keep the unit at least 2m away from radio wave emitting electric appliances (such as TV, radio, and radio-controlled dock) to avoid interference.
  • The unit is only intended for household use under normal operating conditions.
  • Do not use the unit in wet surroundings or surroundings with high temperatures (such as bathroom, toilet or kitchen)

Please read this user manual carefully before starting to use this Geniani air purifier to get the hang of the correct usage so as to achieve optimal performance of the air purifier.

Getting Started

Placing the filters

The air purifier comes with highly effective compound filters fitted inside. You have to remove the packaging of the filters before using the unit. Remove all filters, unpack them and place them back into the appliance as described below.

Note

  • Make sure you insert the filter in the correct position.
  • Make sure the side with the pull tabs faces outward.
  1. Hold the unit firm and rotate the base counterclockwise to unlock it (see below) (LOCK—OPEN)
  2. Hold the handle of the base to remove the base. Pull the packaged filter out of the unit and remove the plastic bag.
  3. Put the filter back into the air purifier and point the triangle identifier on the base at “OPEN” and rotate clockwise until it reaches “LOCK”. The base is locked upon hearing “click”.

Using the Air Purifier

 Get to Know the Control Panel
Power ON/OFF Button

The power button turns red after plugging in and turns blue after switching the unit on. Touch the power button again to switch the unit off and the power button turns red.

Filter Replacement Light

One highly effective compound filter assembly is fitted inside the unit. When the indicator light (I) is on, it means the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Fan Speed Adjustment

You can select the desired fan speed. The default fan speed is medium level.

  1. Press the ON/OFF button to switch the air purifier on. The fan speed button turns blue and the LOW-level fan speed indicator light on the edge of the panel is on.
  2. Press the fan speed button/sone or more times to select the desired fan speed. Fan speed includes low, medium, and high levels, and the corresponding fan speed light on the edge of the panel is on to show the set fan speed.
Light Control

When the unit is on, touch the light button®to turn on the blue light in the middle of the top of the unit and touch the light button again to turn the light off.

 Reset the Filter Timer

If the filter replacement light flashes when the air purifier is in use, it means the filter has exceeded the set lifetime. Press the filter button ® for 3 seconds after replacing the filter, the corresponding indicator light will be off and the timer will be reset to zero

 Forced reset

When the air is heavily polluted, replacement of the filter needs to be done according to the actual conditions as the filter replacement light may not be on to remind you of cleaning or replacing the filter.
When the air purifier is on standby, press and holds the filter button for 3 seconds to enter the filter replacement mode and the filter indicator light flashes. Press and hold the filter button for another 3 seconds to reset the timer for the filter and the filter indicator light turns off. If nothing happened within 60 seconds, the unit will automatically exit out of this mode and the filter indicator light will turn off.

Cleaning the Air Purifier

Regularly clean the inside and outside of the body to prevent dust from accumulating

  1. Wipe away dust with a soft dry cloth from the body of unit
  2. Clean the air inlet and outlet with a soft dry cloth.

Note

  • Always unplug the air purifier before cleaning it
  • Never immerse the air purifier in water or any other liquid
  • Never use abrasive, corrosive or flammable cleaning agents (such as bleach or alcohol to clean any part of the air purifier.
  • The filter of the unit is not washable, nor is it cleaned by other cleaning devices. The filte needs to be replaced

Filter Replacement

The filter replacement light turns orange and lights up continuously after flashing 3 times. This is to remind you the concerned filter needs to be checked and replaced.

Note

  • The highly effective compound filter is not washable, nor should it be vacuum-cleaned
  • Make sure the side with pull tabs faces outward.
  1. Switch off the air purifier and unplug it as shown in picture (a).

  2. Hold the unit firm and rotate the base counterclockwise to unlock it according to the identifier (LOCK—OPEN) as shown in picture (b)

  3. Hold the handle of the base to remove the base. Hold the pull tabs and pull the filter out of the unit as shown in picture (c).

  4. Remove all the packaging materials from the filter as shown in picture (d).

  5. Put the filter back into the air purifier as shown in picture (e). Note
    • Make sure you insert the filter in the correct position
    • Make sure the side with pull tabs faces outward.

  6. To put the base back on, point the triangle identifier on the base at “OPEN” and rotate clockwise until it reaches “LOCK”. The base is locked upon hearing “click” as shown in picture (f).

  7. Reset the lifetime timer of the filter. When the filter light is orange as the unit is switched on, and flickers. press and hold the filter button 0 for 3 seconds, then the corresponding indicator light will be off and the timer is reset to zero as shown in the picture (g).

Troubleshooting

This chapter summarizes the most common problems you could encounter with the air purifier. If you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, contact the consumer service center in your country/region.
