Scope of supply

Please check first of all that the device is complete and is not
damaged in any way. In case of doubt, do not use the it and
contact your dealer or your service centre.

  • 1 medisana Heat pad HS 200
with removable switching unit HS 200

  • 1 Instruction manual
If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please
    contact your dealer without delay.

Use

Do not sit on the heat pad, but place it like a cushion on the
body part, as required. The heat pad reaches a pleasant temperature
within a few minutes of switching on. The temperature
can be adjusted as required.
In addition, the heat pad can also be operated in combination
with the cherry pit cover. Please note that it may take longer
for the warmth to be felt on the outside of the cover.
The cherry stone cover also offers the possibility of releasing
the previously stored heat without a power source. To do this,
warm up the cherry stone cover with the heat pad, then switch
off the heat pad and separate the cover from the heat pad.
Separated from the heat pad, the cherry stone cover can also
be warmed in the microwave (max. 700 watts, max. 1 minute)
or on a heater. Spray around 6 ml of water evenly on the surface
of the cover. Put 1/3 of a cup of water together with the
cover into microwave. Always check the temperature carefully
after heating to avoid the risk of burns.

CAUTION
Do not use the hot cherry stone cushion together
with the heat pad. Let the cherry stone cover cool down first
(hand-warm) and only then use it as a cover for the heat pad.

WARNING
Please ensure that the polythene packing is kept
away from the reach of children!
Risk of suffocation!

Operation

Insert the mains plug into the socket and switch on the heat
pad. To do this move the switch on the control unit 1 to
position 1, 2, 3 or 4 as required. The switch clicks into each
position. When the appliance is switched on, the control display
2 lights up and three short beeps are emitted. The higher
the regulating level, the higher the temperature. To switch
off the unit, move the switch completely back to position 0. If
the operating control display goes out, the device is switched
off. Move the selector switch to position 1 before falling asleep
or any continuous use. The heat pad will switch off automatically
after approx. 90 minutes of continuous use. Unplug
the unit from the mains outlet once you have finished using it.

Switch positions
0 = the heat pad is switched off, the
operating control display is off.
1 = lowest heat level,
Level 1 is recommended
for continuous operation.
2,3 = middle heat level,
4 = highest heat level

The heat pad has an accurate electronic control system. Depending
on the room temperature, the LED may change from
orange to green colour and back within seconds. This indicates
the fast re-heating and is normal.

Automatic cutout
The heat pad is equipped with an automatic cutout.
This switches the unit off after 90 minutes of operation,
independent of the heat level selected. Return the switch to
position 0. However, to switch the heat pad back on, move
the switch back to position 0 and then move it to the heat
level required.

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Before cleaning the heat pad, unplug it from the mains
outlet and let it cool down for at least ten minutes.

  • The heat pad is equipped with a removable control unit
Unplug the control unit from the heat pad by pulling out
the connection cable from the plug on the heat pad 5.

  • The heat pad can be machine washed at 30° in a delicate
program me or by hand gently. The best way to do this
is to put the heat pad in a bath with lukewarm water and
some mild detergent and then gently squeeze it out.

  • Never use strong detergents or hard brushes.

  • To dry, lay the heat pad flat on a moisture-absorbent towel
    or mat.

  • Only use the heat pad again once it is completely dry.

  • Reconnect the control unit to the heat pad in the correct
    manner.

  • You should untangle the cable from time to time.

  • Store the unit in a clean and dry place, laid out flat with
nothing covering or resting on top of it.

  • The cherry stone cover should be cleaned gently with a
damp cloth. Do not wash it in the machine!
