LENOXX GTRBLACK Ride On Mercedes GTR Ride On Car
The illustrations used in this manual are to illustrate the operation method and product structure of the product. Where there is a small difference between the physical item and the illustrations, please take the physical as the standard.
SAFETY INFORMATION AND WARNINGS:
- Children using this product must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.
- The ride-on is not to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction.
- In the interests of safety, DO NOT use this product on public roads, near motor vehicles, uneven ground, swimming pools or where there is water. Do not let children ride in the street, anywhere dangerous including slopes with more than 10 degrees, next to bodies of water and away from other obstacles. Use during day light hours or in an illuminated area is advised to avoid accidents in the dark.
- Do not drive on long or wet grass, mud, soft ground, gravel or sand.
- Do not drive near anything flammable or explosive. Keep any hazardous chemicals out if the drivers reach.
- Do not immerse the ride-on or charger n water.
- Suitable for children aged 3+ years old. It is recommended that children always wear shoes and other protective clothing and equipment (e.g.: helmet, gloves, kneepads etc.) during use.
- This car must only be used by a single child, the maximum load is 25 kg. This is advisable to avoid damage to the motor, gears and to prohibit overloading.
- When the ride-on is running, do not place anything on the moving parts such as the motor, gearbox, wheels or steering wheel.
- Please keep the product and all parts away from children before full assembly has been completed by a responsible adult.
- These instructions contain important information, please retain them after product assembly.
- The Assembly of the ride-on must be completed by an adult.
- To avoid suffocation or choking, keep all bags and small parts away from babies and children.
- Never push or pull the ride-on backward when it is running.
- Do not charge the ride-on with a broken or damaged charger. Please call 1300 666 848 to order a replacement charger.
- Any repairs to the ride-on must be carried out by an authorized or qualified service center/repairer.
BATTERY CAUTIONS:
The battery must be charged only by an adult . Please charge the product
before use. If the ride-on will not be used for a long period of time (3
months or longer), it is advised that you fully charge the battery and
disconnect it from the connections.
A long period of non-use will damage the battery. It is advised that the
battery should be charged once a month, even if the ride-on is not being used.
A new battery must be fully charged before its first use.
Please take care with the battery as it contains acid electrolytes. Handling
of the battery by adults only. If the battery has leaked, do not touch the
acid. Place the battery into a polybag and dispose of it.
If the electrolyte splashes on your skin or into your eyes, immediately wash
with water for at least 15 minutes and consult your doctor.
Do not contact the battery’s two terminals with any other metal objects. It
will cause short-circuiting, damage or fire. Do not plug the charger into any
non-working or faulty wall socket. This could cause short-circuiting or fire.
CAUTIONS FOR CHARGING:
The ride-on is equipped with a charge protection function. Ensure that the
power switch on the car is in the OFF position before charging.
When charging the ride-on, all the functions of the ride-on are not operational.
- The charging time is 8 – 12 hours. Avoid intermittent charging as that can affect the battery life.
- Do not charge the battery for over 20 hours to avoid overheating the charger.
- When charging, connect the chargers pin to the charging socket of the ride-on and plug the charger into a 240v powerpoint.
- During the charging process, the heating of the charger or battery is normal (below 60 degrees Celsius).
- A new battery must be fully charged before its first use.
- Ensure the charger is removed from the charging socket before the ride-on is used.
- Ensure the charger is not damaged. If the charge lead, plug or casing is damaged, do not use the charger.
The POWER SWITCH must be in the OFF position when charging.
- Find the charging input socket below the seat.
- Plug the charger port into the input socket.
- Plug the charger plug into a wall outlet. The battery will begin charging.
- Charger must be removed from the ride-on’s charging socket before it is used.
Location of the charging socket:
Just below the seat on the right-hand side.

Assembly info:
The ride-on requires assembly by an adult. Children can be harmed by small
parts, sharp edges, and sharp points on The ride on’s the unassembled state.
Care should be taken in the unpacking and assembly of the ride-on. Children
should not handle parts or help in the assembly of the ride-on. Please
identify all parts before assembly and save all packaging material until
assembly is complete to ensure that no parts are discarded.
INSTALLING THE REAR FREE WHEELS:
Optional. An added set of wheels for increased stability. Turn the car upside
down. Remove the M4X12mm screw that has been fixed to the car body. Install
the rear free wheels. Then fix with the M4X12mm screws.
INSTALLING THE REAR WHEELS:
Install drive motor on the rear axle. Load a wheel on the rear axle. Load a
M10 washer on the rear axle. Load a M8 nut on the rear axle. Tighten the nut
with the socket wrench. Add a wheel shaft cover. Repeat on the other side.
INSTALLING THE FRONT WHEELS:
Load an M10 washer on the front axle. Load a wheel on the front axle. Load
another M10 washer on the front axle. Add a M8 nut to the front axle. Tighten
the nut with the socket wrench. Add a wheel shaft cover. Repeat on the other
side.
CONNECT THE POWER PLUG, UNDER THE SEAT:
- Connect the plug before installing the seat.
- Ensure the black wire is connected to the black terminal on the battery.
- Ensure the red wire is connected on the red terminal on the battery.
INSTALLING THE SPOILER AND SEAT:
Remove the M4X12mm screws that has been fixed to the car body. Fit the
spoiler into position. Use the M4X12mm screws to secure the spoiler in place.
The rear of the seat hooks into the body of the car. Use 2 x M4X12 screws on
the seat to secure the seat into position
INSTALLING THE WINDSHIELD:
Clip the windshield into the ride-on’s body.
INSTALLING THE STEERING WHEEL:
Connect the lead from the steering wheel to the corresponding connection from
the body of the ride-on. Insert the steering wheel into the end of the
direction bar. Align the hole on the steering wheel with the hole on the
direction bar. Insert the M5x35 bolt and secure it with the M5 nut.
INSTALLING THE REAR VIEW MIRRORS:
Insert the hook on the mirror into the holes on both Sides of the body.
Repeat for the other mirror.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS:
After assembly and charging:
Ensure the charger is removed from the charging socket on the ride-on.
- Put the power switch into the on position.
- Press the forward/reverse switch to the forward position, then press the pedal, the ride-on will drive forwards.
- To stop, remove foot from the pedal to stop the ride-on.
- Press the forward/reverse switch to the reverse position, then press the pedal, the ride-on will drive backward.
Use the horn and music buttons on the steering wheel for sound. Press the power switch to turn off the ride-on.
HOW TO USE THE MP3 PLAYBACK PANEL:
- USB slot: insert a USB stick to playback MP3 files.
- TF card slot: insert a TF memory card to playback MP3 files.
- AUX-in: Use the AUX-in lead to connect to a device with an earphone socket (eg: MP3 player) to playback MP3 files.
- PREV/ VOL – button: press the button once to go back to the previous music track. Press and hold the button to reduce the volume of music playback.
- Pause button: Press once to pause music playback, press again to resume music playback.
- NEXT/VOL + button: press the button once to go to the next music track.m Press and hold the button to increase the volume of music playback.
- Mode button: Press to alternate playback from USB port, TF card, or AUX-in device (if multiple are connected).
- Voltage display: the value on the display can be used to determine whether the battery needs to be recharged.
BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL:
Press the HORN button for horn sounds. Press the MUSIC button to play pre-
programmed musical tunes. Press the MUSIC button to change to a different pre-
programmed tune.
TOW HANDLE, UNDER THE RIDE-ON:
When the ride-on’s battery is flat, you can pull it home, by releasing the
handle from underneath the ride on.
DOOR LOCKING:
For a child to exit the ride-on, release the door button. Use the same button to lock the door when a child is inside the ride-on.
MAINTENCE AND TROUBLE SHOOTING:
Factors which may influence the ride-on’s performance and life span:
- How flat the driving surface is
- The weight of the driver
- Whether the battery has been fully charged
- Whether the motor ride-on is regularly used
- Whether water or any other liquid has eroded the electrical components
PROBLEM: The vehicle does not run
CAUSE : The battery may low on power.
After each use, or once a month minimum, charge the battery for 8-12 hours. Do
not leave the battery on the charger for more than 20 hours.
CAUSE : Thermal fuse has tripped.
The vehicle is equipped with a self-resetting fuse. When the vehicle is
overloaded or operated incorrectly; the self-resetting fuse will be cut off
for 5-20 seconds before becoming operational again.
The self-resetting fuse is under the seat (Refer to the picture.)
To avoid the fuse cut off the power, follow these guidelines:
- DO NOT overload the vehicle, Maximum weight allowed:25 kg
- DO NOT tow anything behind the vehicle.
- DO NOT drive up steep slopes.
- DO NOT drive into fixed objects, which may cause the wheels to spin, causing the motor to overheat.
- DO NOT drive in very hot weather, components may overheat.
- DO NOT tamper with the electric system, doing so may create a short circuit, causing the fuse to trip.
- CAUSE: Wheel nuts are loose. If the nuts are not tight, the wheels will not engage the forward gears. Tighten the nut with the nut wrench.
- CAUSE : Battery connector or wires are loose. Make Sure the battery connectors are firmly plugged into each other.
- CAUSE: Battery is dead. Have you properly maintained the battery according to the directions? Is the battery old? Your battery may need to be replaced.
- CAUSE: Electric system is damaged. Water may have corroded the system, or loose dirt, gravel or sand might have jammed the switch.
- CAUSE: Motor is damaged. The motor needs professional repair.
PROBLEM: The battery will not recharge.
CAUSE: Battery connector or adapter connector is loose. Make sure the battery connector and adapter connector are firmly plugged together.
CAUSE: The charger is not plugged in. Make sure the charger is plugged into the wall outlet and the power flow to the outlet is on.
CAUSE: The charger is not working. Is the charger warm while charging? If not, the charger may be broken and may need to be replaced.
PROBLEM: The vehicle does not run very long.
CAUSE: Battery may be undercharged.
You may not be charging the battery long enough. After each use, or once a
month minimum, charge the battery for 8 to 12 hours. Do not leave the battery
on the charger for more than 20 hours.
CAUSE: Battery is old.
The battery will eventually lose the ability to hold a charge. Depending on
the amount of use, and varying conditions, the battery should operate for one
to three years. Replace the battery with a new one.
PROBLEM: Battery buzzes or gurgles when charging. This is normal and not a cause for concern. It may also be silent when charging, which is also normal.
PROBLEM: The charger feels warm when recharging the battery. This is normal and not a cause for concern.
CLEANING:
Clean the motor ride-on with a soft dry cloth. Do not use any wax or spray
liquids for cleaning. It could erode the power switch. Do not submerge the
ride-on or charger into water or other liquid at any time.
STORAGE:
Do not store the ride-on in an area of high temperature, humidity or near
flames. When raining or snowing, keep the ride-on undercover and out of the
weather. Do not change the batteries setting, as it can cause fire and damage
the electrical circuit system. Do not change the ride-on’s electrical circuit
system. Any repairs done to this unit must be carried out by authorized and
qualified service personnel. Do not allow children to charge the ride-on, play
with the battery or motor. If the ride-on will not be used for a long period
of time (3 months or longer), it is advised that you fully charge the battery
and disconnect it from the connections. A long period of non-use will damage
the battery. It is advised that the battery should be charged once a month,
even if the ride-on is not being used. A new battery must be fully charged
before its first use.
BATTERY DISPOSAL:
- Your sealed lead-acid battery mu be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
- Do not dispose of your lead-acid battery in a fire. The battery may explode or leak.
- Do not dispose of a lead-acid battery in your regular, household trash. The incineration, land filling or mixing of sealed lead-acid batteries with household trash is prohibited by law.
- Return an exhausted battery to your local approved lead-acid battery recycle, such as a local seller of automotive batteries.
- Contact your local waste management officials for other information regarding the environmentally sound recycling and disposal of lead-acid batteries.
