Safety Instructions

WARNING TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY:

  • Plastic film can be dangerous. To avoid the danger of suffocation, keep away from children.
  • Do not plug in your air purifier UNTIL you are familiar with all instructions and operating procedures.
  • To reduce the risk of electrical shock, turn the power switch OFF and disconnect the polarized plug from the electrical outlet BEFORE performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
  • Use indoors only.
  •  Do not use for any purpose other than described in this user guide. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended accessories.
  •  Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Discard appliance or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
  • If the appliance is not working as it should or has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, have it repaired at an authorized service center.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliances over the cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances.   • Do not unplug by pulling cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
  • Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep openings free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow.
  • Keep hair, loose clothing and fingers away from openings.
  • Turn OFF device controls before unplugging the appliance.
  • Do not use appliance in an enclosed space filled with vapors given off by oil-based paint, paint thinner, moth-proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic vapors.
  • Keep appliance on a level surface.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquid, do not pour liquid into or around the appliance or openings.
  • Do not use the appliance near water or in a damp or wet location.
  • This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
  • Do not use the appliance with any dimmer switch or solid state speed control device.

Getting Started

  1. Remove the air purifier from its box and flip the air purifier over. Twist the bottom cover counterclockwise to the unlocked position.
  2. Remove the base cover to access and remove the filter.
  3. Remove the filter from its protective plastic bag.
  4. Place the filter back into the air purifier with the Genuine BISSELL® Filter sticker facing up.
  5. Replace the bottom cover and twist the base cover clockwise until it clicks into the locked position.
  6. Plugin and power on your new MYair™ PRO air purifier!

Control Panel

  1. Power Button Turns the air purifier ON/OFF.
  2. Fan Speed Settings Press the +/- buttons to adjust fan speed. The MYair™ PRO has 3 fan speeds: low, medium, and high.
  3. Night Light Button Press the Night Light Button to choose between low light, high light or off.
  4. Filter Reset Button Lights up red when the filter needs to be changed (see page 7).

Filter Replacement

Note: Filter life varies based on run time and existing air conditions. It is recommended to replace the filter once every 4 months.

  1. To remove the base cover, grip the center of the base and twist counter-clockwise to the unlocked position.
  2. Remove the base cover to access the filter. Remove the dirty filter.
  3. Remove your new filter from its protective plastic bag.
  4. Insert the new filter with the Genuine BISSELL® Filter sticker facing up. The base cover will not fit back on unless the filter is inserted correctly.
  5. Align the base cover’s unlocked arrow with the arrow on the air purifier. Twist the base cover clockwise until it clicks into the locked position.
  6. Turn the air purifier back ON and press and hold the filter reset button until you hear a beep.

WARNING For your safety, always turn OFF and unplug your air purifier before replacing the filter.

Problem Possible Cause Remedies

Airflow is significantly reduced

| Filter is in protective plastic bag.| Remove filter from plastic bag and reinstall.
Fan speed is low.| Press the + button to increase fan speed.
Filter needs to be replaced.| Replace the filter (see page 7).

Air purifier is making unusual noise

| Filter is in protective plastic bag.| Remove filter from plastic bag and reinstall.
Filter needs to be replaced.| Replace the filter (see page 7).
The air purifier may be damaged or a foreign object may have fallen into the air purifier.| Stop using the air purifier and contact Consumer Care. Do not attempt to repair the air purifier.
Strange smell coming from the air purifier| Filter needs to be replaced.| Replace the filter (see page 7).

Air purifier will not power on

| Power outlet is defective.| Plug the air purifier into a different outlet.
Power cord is damaged.| Stop using the air purifier and contact Consumer Care. Do not attempt to repair the air purifier.
The air purifier may be damaged or malfunctioning.| Stop using the air purifier and contact Consumer Care. Do not attempt to repair the air purifier.
