Overview

  1. Integrated pole and wall mounting bracket.
  2. System LED Indicators:
  3. LAN: On (LAN port link), Blinking (activity).
  4. Uplink(PoE): On (Uplink PoE port link), Blinking (activity). Slow blink during system boot up.
  5. 60G: On (60GHz wireless link), Blinking (activity).
  6. Grounding Screw: For ground wire connection.
  7. LAN Port: Connects to LAN devices.
  8. Uplink PoE Port: Connects to PoE injector and LAN devices.

Installation

Warning:

For a safe and reliable installation, use only the accessories and screws provided with the device. Use of other accessories and screws could result in damage to the unit. Any damages incurred by using unapproved accessories are not covered by the warranty.

  1. Ground the MLTG-CNEdge-corE-MLTG-CN-60GHz-Access-Point-User-fig-4
    Ground the MLTG-CN by connecting a ground wire to the grounding point on the MLTG-CN and to nearby good earth.

    RJ-45 Ports

  3. Connect outdoor-rated Category 5e or better cable to the 1000BASE-T RJ-45 Uplink PoE port. Be sure to use the included weatherproof RJ-45 port cover.

  4. (Optional) Connect a local LAN switch or computer to the LAN 1000BASE-T RJ-45 port. Be sure to use the included weatherproof RJ-45 port cover.
    Note: The Uplink PoE port connection provides PoE power to the unit.

  5. Mount the MLTG-CN

  6. Feed the steel-band clamps through the pole-mount bracket points on the back of the MLTG-CN and then lightly fasten them around the pole.

  7. Align the MLTG-CN antenna with a nearby Distribution Node before tightening the clamps securely.

  8. Drill two holes in the wall for the included expansion plugs. Insert the expansion plugs and the two screws in the holes.

  9. Align the MLTG-CN mounting bracket with the screws and then slide the device down until it snaps into its secured position.
    Use Precision Brackets (Optional)
    Two optional precision brackets (ordered separately) are designed for wall and pole mounting and provide additional degrees of movement for antenna alignment .Edge-corE-MLTG-CN-60GHz-Access-Point-User-fig-8

  10. Connect PowerEdge-corE-MLTG-CN-60GHz-Access-Point-User-fig-9
    Connect the other end of the outdoor-rated Ethernet cable from the Uplink (PoE) port to the 802.3at-compliant power injector.

    Check the LEDs
    The Uplink (PoE) LED should blink slowly during boot-up and be on or blinking when operating normally.

  12. Access the Web User Interface
    Using the LAN Port

  13. Connect a PC directly to the MLTG-CN’s LAN port.

  14. Set the PC IP address to be on the same subnet as the MLTG-CN LAN port default IP address. The PC address must start 192.168.2.x with subnet mask 255.255.255.0).

  15. Enter the MLTG-CN’s default IP address of 192.168.2.1 into the web browser address bar.

  16. Log in to the web interface using default settings:

  17. Username = admin

  18. Password = admi
    Using the Management Port (Uplink PoE)

  19. Connect a PC to the data port of the injector powering the MLTG-CN.

  20. The MLTG-CN is configured as a DHCP Client and will receive its IP dynamically. Check the DHCP Server on the PC for the assigned address. In case the DHCP server is unavailable, the MLTG-CN uses 192.168.1.20 and 255.255.255.0 as the fallback IP address and subnet mask, respectively.

  21. Enter the MLTG-CN’s IP address into the web browser address bar.

  22. Log in to the web interface using default settings:

  23. Username = admin

  24. Password = admin

The abbreviations of the countries, as prescribed in above table, where any restrictions on putting into service or any requirements for authorization of use exist. CE Mark Declaration of Conformance for EMI and Safety (EEC) This information technology equipment is in compliance with the Directive 2014/53/EU and Directive 2014/35/EU. Warnings and Cautionary Messages

Warning:

This product does not contain any serviceable user parts. Installation and removal of the unit must be carried out by qualified personnel only. When connecting this device to a power outlet, connect the field ground lead on the tri-pole power plug to a valid earth ground line to prevent electrical hazards.

Caution:

Wear an anti-static wrist strap or take other suitable measures to prevent electrostatic discharge when handling this equipment. Do not plug a phone jack connector in the RJ-45 port. This may damage this device. Use only twisted- pair cables with RJ-45 connectors that conform to FCC standards.
