Please read this manual thoroughly before using this product and keep it for future reference.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. If any medical devices are implanted in your body, please consult a doctor before you use the product.
  2. Please power off the product if you are at a gas station, on an airplane or in a hospital.
  3. Never use the product near a radio to avoid the interference.
  4. Do not hit or drop the product against a hard surface, as this can dislodge electrical components.
  5. Avoid getting the product wet, as water or damp can affect or damage the electronics.
  6. Please clean the product with a dry cloth. Avoid using any cleaning agents and solvents.
  7. Do not attempt to alter or modify the internal components of the product.
  8. Store the product in a dry and clean place.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

Please install 4 pieces of AAA batteries (not included) into each walkie- talkie before use.
Step 1: Pry out and hold the Locking Clip with your fingers.
Step 2: Slide the Belt Clip vertically from the back of the walkie-talkie body.

Step 3:
Remove the cover of the Battery Compartment, and install 4 pieces of AAA batteries into it.
Step 4:
Close the cover and slide the Belt Clip back until it clicks into place.

Tip
When the battery power gets low, the icon of battery status on the display will become , and the walkie-talkie will beep for every 10 seconds.

Notes

  • Only adults should replace the batteries.
  • Do not mix batteries type or old and new batteries.
  • Please replace the exhausted batteries timely.
  • When walkie talkies are not in use, please remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage.
  • Do not play or store the walkie talkies near fire or any heat source.
  • Do not dispose of the batteries in fire to avoid the possible explosion. Dispose of the batteries according to the local environmental regulations and laws.

BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY

HOW TO USE YOUR WALKIE TALKIES QUICKLY

Power On
Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn on the walkie talkie. It will beep once and the display will show the icons as below.

Talk and Listen

Tip

  1. If the channels and the sub-codes are the same before leaving the factory, you do not need to adjust the channels and the sub-codes.
  2. If the channels and the sub-codes are different, you can set to the same channel and sub-code by manually selecting or auto-scanning.
    Option 1: Manually selecting the same channel and sub-code
    Step 1:
    Set aside the first walkie-talkie after powering on.
    Step 2:
    Power on the second walkie-talkie, and press to start selecting the same channel as the first walkie-talkie. The digit of channel will flash, and press to adjust the channel.
    Step 3:
    Press again to start selecting the same sub-code as the first walkie talkie, and press to adjust the sub-code.
    Notes
  • When all your walkie-talkies are set to the same channel while the sub-codes are all OFF, you can still talk with all of them. However, it is advised to set the sub-code to prevent the channel interference.

  • You can not talk with other walkie talkies if the walkie talkies are on the same channel but not on the same sub-code.
    Step 4:
    When the channels and the sub-codes are the same, press to exit the channel & subcode setting.
    Step 5:
    Press and hold on either walkie-talkie to start talking and others will listen. Release the button once you have finished speaking.
    Tip
    The walkie talkies have the one-to-many function, which allows you to add as many walkie talkies as possible. Repeat the steps above if you would like to set a new one.
    Option 2: Auto scanning the same channel and sub-code
    Step 1:
    Press on the first walkie talkie to start scanning the channels and the sub-codes after powering on.
    Step 2:
    Press and hold  on the second walkie talkie until the channels and sub-codes on both walkie talkies are the same, then release.
    Step 3:
    Press again on the first walkie talkie to confirm the channel & subcode setting within 5 seconds.
    Step 4:
    Press and hold on either walkie talkie to start talking and others will listen. Release once you have finished speaking.
    Notes

  • When the sub-code on one of the walkie talkies is OFF, this walkie talkie can ONLY receive calls but cannot talk with other walkie talkies. If you would like to talk with others normally, please set the channels and the sub-codes manually following the steps mentioned in Option 1.

  • If your walkie talkies fail to scan the target channel and sub-code, they might receive interference from other similar devices. Please try to reset your walkie talkies by manually selecting the channels and the sub-codes following the steps mentioned in Option 1.

Tip
The walkie talkies have the one-to-many function, which allows you to add as many walkie talkies as possible. Repeat the steps above if you would like to set a new one.

Notes

  1. Please hold the walkie talkie vertically and keep the microphone on it approximately 2.5-5cm away from your mouth when you are talking.
  2. You can adjust the volume by pressing ©©® toa proper level that is suitable for your hearing.
  3. Your walkie talkies should work up to 3km apart. Please note that they will work best in an open area. Adverse weather conditions and the environment (e.g., tall buildings, woods, obstacles) in which they are being used can affect the range.
  4. There is no limit to how many walkie talkies users can communicate at the same time; however, since all will be sharing the same frequency band, only one person can speak at a time.

MORE FUNCTIONS OF YOUR WALKIE TALKIES

  1. Menu/Keypad Lock Button
    Short press to switch the settings among Channels, Sub-codes, VOX Function, Call Tones, Key Beep and Roger Beep.

Channels
There are 22 channels available in your walkie talkies.

  • Press to enter the setting; press to adjust the channels; press to confirm and exit.

Sub-codes
There are 99 sub-codes available in your walkie talkies.

  • After setting channels, press to enter the setting; press to adjust the sub-codes; press to confirm and exit.

Tip
It’s advised that the sub-code should be a digit from 1 to 99 to avoid irrelevant interference and calls.

VOX Function
If you enable the VOX Function, you can talk with other members with no need of pressing and holding .

  • After setting sub-codes, press again A to move to VOX Function setting; press to select VOX sensitivity levels; press to confirm and exit.
    There are 4 options for VOX Function. 1, 2 and 3 indicate the different sensitivity levels. OFF means that you have disabled the VOX Function.

Call Tones
This is to set the call tones when pressing . There are 10 ringing tones available.

  • After setting VOX Function , press again to move to call tones setting; press to select call tones; press to confirm and exit.
    Press to send a ringing tone to the other walkie talkies. This is to alert the recipients that you want to talk.

Key Beep
This is to turn on/off the beep when you press any buttons on the walkie talkie.

  • After setting call tones, press again to move to key beep setting; press to turn on/off the key beep; press to confirm and exit.

Roger Beep
This tone indicates that the user has concluded speaking.

  • After setting key beep, press again to move to roger beep setting; press to turn on/off the roger beep; press to confirm and exit.

Tip
You have finished all the settings after the Roger Beep setting.

Keypad Lock
Long press for 3 seconds to lock the settings for , , and .

  • This function is to prevent your kids from misoperation.

2. Monitor Button

Monitoring is a way to receive weak signals. When your walkie talkies are on the same channel and the same sub-code, you can hear the faint sounds by pressing and holding to enhance the signal.
Press and hold to start channel monitoring. Release the button to stop monitoring.

3. Volume +/- Buttons
Press to turn up/down the volume for the calls you received.

4. Lamp Button
Press (%) to turn on the torch, and press again to turn it off.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  1. There are other sounds when the walkie talkie receives calls.
    • Your walkie talkie may receive sounds from other similar devices that are on the same channel as yours. Please switch all your walkie talkies to a new channel.
    • For all the walkie talkies on the same channel, it is advised to set the sub-code to prevent the channel interference from other walkie talkies or similar devices.

  2. I can’t hear other members.
    • Please check if you have set to the same channel and sub-code as other members.
    • Please confirm if the distance of other members is too far away from you. Adverse weather conditions and the environment (e.g., tall buildings, woods, obstacles) in which they are being used can affect the range.
    • Please confirm if the batteries are low on power in other members’ walkie talkies. Replace if necessary.

Any Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Safety Information for Radios
Your wireless handheld portable transceiver contains a low power transmitter. When the talk button is pushed, it sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. The device is authorized to operate at a duty factor not to exceed 50%. In August 1996, the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for handheld wireless devices.

FCC RF Exposure Requirements: For body-worn operation, this radio has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with accessories supplied or designated for this product. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.

Use only the supplied antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications or attachments could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations.

Normal Position
Hold the transmitter approximately 25 mm from your face and speak in a normal voice, with the antenna pointed up and away.

This product meets the applicable Industry Canada technical specifications.

  1. this device may not cause interference, and
  2. this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

CAUTION

  • non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged;
  • for electric toys using rechargeable batteries, the batteries should be charged under adult supervision. For batteries charged using a battery charger for use by children, this instruction may be replaced by: “Batteries are only to be charged by persons of at least 8 years old”;
  • different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed;
  • batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity (+ and -) !
  • exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy;
  • the supply terminals are not to be short – circuited
