Reading and keeping the instructions for use
These instructions for use apply exclusively to the aforementioned gazzini Sat
Nav Mounting Bracket. They contain important information on installation,
safety and the warranty. Read these instructions carefully, in particular the
safety instructions, before installing the sat nav mounting bracket. Failure
to follow the instructions can result in damage to the sat nav mounting
bracket itself or to your vehicle, make it less safe to ride on the road, and
possibly cause subsequent damage. Keep these instructions for future
reference. If you pass the sat nav mounting bracket on to a third party, you
must also hand over these instructions.
The instructions for use are based on the standards and regulations applicable
in the European Union and reflect current state-of-the-art technology. If
abroad, you should also observe any country-specific guidelines and laws.

Safety
Intended use
The gazzini Sat Nav Mounting Bracket is used for universal and flexible
installation of sat navs from various manufacturers or sat nav cases. The sat
nav mounting bracket is for motorbike handlebars with an outside diameter of
22 mm (metric) or 28.6 mm (double-butted). To ensure that you use the
components correctly and safely on your motorcycle, always adhere to the
specifications in your vehicle owner’s manual and the directions of the
vehicle manufacturer.
The gazzini Sat Nav Mounting Bracket must only be used as described in these
instructions.Any other use is considered improper use and can result in
material damage. The manufacturer and supplier accept no liability for damage
caused by improper or incorrect use.

When installing the mirror, ensure that the vehicle cannot topple over and
that the workplace is well lit.
Risk of accident

In order to use the sat nav mounting bracket safely, it must be installed on the vehicle in such a way that it does not impede the rider’s view of the road or traffic. This also applies to the road behind you – mirrors must not be covered.

The sat nav mounting bracket must be securely installed. If it were to fall off, it could endanger other road users and cause an accident.

The sat nav mounting bracket must be installed so that a good view of the sat nav is ensured without distracting the rider from the traffic.
IMPORTANT! -
Ensure that the sat nav mounting bracket never comes into contact with any other part of the vehicle (fairing, tank etc.) and does not impede the rider in any way, even when the handlebar is turned to full lock.
Installation
Preparation
First jack up the vehicle securely in a well lit place. To install the gazzini
Sat Nav Mounting Bracket you require handlebars with an outside diameter of 22
mm (metric) or 28.6 mm (double-butted). The installation position must also be
selected so that the rider’s vision is not obstructed by the sat nav mounting
bracket or the sat nav.
Installation

Select the clamp (1) to suit the purchased design: 22 mm or 28.6 mm and find a suitable place on the handlebar which has a width of at least 20 mm. Make sure that the diameter of the handlebar in this area is even and not tapered.

Place the clamp around the handlebar and align it. Tighten the cheese head screw (2) with a hexagon key (size 4).

Components 3 + 4 + 5 are already joined together. Now screw this unit into the clamp (1) and secure it gently against the clamp (1) with the lock nut (3).

The strut (7) can either be inserted into the universal joint (5) or omitted depending on the given constructional conditions.

Connect the universal joint (5) and strut (7) using the flat-head bolt (6) and gently tighten it with a hexagon key (size 4).

Now insert the strut with the ball head and cap nut (9) into the upper section of the strut (7) and connect both sections using the flat-head bolt (8). Gently tighten the bolt with a hexagon key
(size 4). -
Then fasten the base plate for the sat nav (10) using the cap nut of the strut (9).

Now align the sat nav mounting bracket to suit your own requirements and tighten the bolt connections. Tighten the lock nut (3) against the clamp (1) with an open-ended wrench (size 15) and the flat-head bolts (6 + 8) with a hexagon key (size 4). Only tighten the cap nut under the base plate (10) finger-tight.

Now fasten the corresponding adapter for the respective sat nav or sat nav case to the base plate.

If necessary, align the sat nav mounting bracket again as described.
Storage
Until it is installed, the gazzini Sat Nav Mounting Bracket should be kept in its original packaging and stored in a place that is protected against weather and moisture. The air humidity should not exceed 80%.
Cleaning and care
Use warm soapy water or motorcycle cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the gazzini Sat Nav Mounting Bracket. Do not under any circumstances use cleaners which may corrode aluminium. Finally, apply polishing wax to seal the surface and protect it from the weather.
Warranty
This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use
for anything other than the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident,
tampering or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons or customer service
departments.
Disposal
Dispose of packaging material and the product itself in accordance with applicable local regulations.
