Note:
- The monitor is only switched on in the TEST mode for changing menu settings or viewing existing photos and videos.
- Amicro memory card must have been inserted into the memory card slot to Save photos and videos.
- Using the mini USB connection (USB 2.0), the camera can be connected to a computer to download photos and videos.
- Using the mode switch, the three operating modes:OFF, TEST and ON can be selected.
Preparing the Camera
- The camera must be inserted 8 x 1.5V AA batteries

Do not mix old and new batteries of different types.

Batteries are not included. Please prepare separately.

If you do not use the product for a long time, remove the battery and store it.

For best using experience, we recommend using 8 alkaline batteries to power the camera, lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are not ecommended because rechargeable batteries have lower voltage output and poor performance under low temperature, 2. AC adapter
At the bottom of the camera, there is an external power supply port, which support DC12V 2A power, power plug size is 3.5 X 1.35mm.- Insert a micro SD card (Class 10 TF card, Support up to 128G Max)
Camera can’t operate without an micro SD memory card installed.
Please install/uninstall the memory card when the camera is in the power-off State.
*Please format the memory card before the first use.

Using the Camera and Set Up
Mode Switch
The Power Switch is used to control the camera working status.
TEST:
Under this mode, the camera screen is on. You can
- Setup the menu.
- Take photos or record videos manually
- Check and replay.
Note: In TEST mode, if you do not operate for a long time, the camera will enter the power saving mode and the screen will turn off. The screen can be turned on by pressing any button on the camera.
ON:
When the camera is switched from TSET mode to ON mode, it will enter standby
with low power consumption, screen display will turn off and button operation
will be disabled. The camera will respond to the PIR sensors only. It will
turn on and take photo or record videos when the PIR sensor is triggered, then
return to standby afterwards.
OFF:
The camera is completely off, only in this mode, you can unplug the memory
card, replace the batteries.
Operating Buttons
Set the mode switch to TSET and the camera and monitor are turned on. Using the operation buttons, different functions can now be activated and the settings can be changed. For this purpose, the following operation buttons are provided on the display panel.
Photo Mode
[Step 1] Press DOWN to get into Photo Mode.
[Step 2] Press SHOT to capture a photo and save it to your memory card.
[Step 3]Press REPLAY, the press to find the photo you’d like to check.
[Step 4] Press REPLAY to back to Photo Mode.
[Step 5) Press UP to switch to Video Mode.
Video Mode
[Step 1] Press UP to get into Video Mode.
[Step 2] Press SHOT to start recording a video and press it again to stop and
save the video to your memory card.
Tip: The maximum length of each video is 10s by default. You can change
it in Menu>Video Length
[Step 3] Press REPLAY, the press to find the video you’d like to check.
[Step 4] Press OK to play the video and press it again to stop.
[Step 5] Press REPLAY to back to Video Mode.
[Step 6] Press DOWN to switch to Photo Mode.
Delete/Lock Files
When replaying the photo or video, press MENU to bring up the Settings
interface.
[Delete Current File] : To delete the file you are checking.
[Delete All Files): To delete all files.
[Activate Slide Show]: To make photos play in a loop.
[Write Protect]: To lock the files so that you can’t delete them. The
protected file has an icon “ “. CED Back GS Select
Settings
Mode
Photo, Video, Photo + Video, select whether photos or videos should be
taken when motion is detected. When in Photo + Video mode, the camera first
takes a set of photos before recording a video.
PIR Interval
5 seconds – 60 minutes are available.
This function is to set the time interval for the PIR Sensors to detect
motion.
When the PIR Sensors detect motion caused by people or animals, the camera Starts to record video or take photos. After finishing recording video or taking photos, the camera will enter standby mode. If you select 15 seconds as the time interval, the PIR Sensors will start detecting motion again after 15 seconds.
Note: Setting a long PIR interval prevents the memory card from filling up with many redundant images. And it also can reduce the battery consumption and ensure a long time usage.
PIR Level
High/Middle/Low.
Capture No
1P, 2P, 3P are available.
Select the number of pictures to be taken when this camera is triggered.
Video Length
Default 10 seconds, optional 3s-10 minutes.
Specify the duration of a video recording when the camera is triggered
automatically.
Video Size (Resolution)
4K(3480×2160,10FPS), 2.7K(2688×1520, 20FPS), 1080P(1920×1080), 720P
(1280×720), 720x480P, 640x480P. Select the desired video resolution.
Higher resolutions produce higher quality video, but as a result the recorded
files will also be larger and require more space on the memory card.
Language
For the first use, please select the language for your camera.
Set Clock
For the first use, please set the date and time according to your location.
Stamp
To enable/disable the display of local time and date on the captured
photos.
Photo Size
48MP, 32MP, 24MP, 20MP, 16MP, 12MP, 8MP, 5MP are available. Select the
desired resolution for photos.
Software
To check the version of your camera software.
Audio Recording
On/Off. To set whether there is audio for the video or not.
Time Lapse
If you enable this function, the PIR Sensors of the camera will be
deactivated. The camera will take photos at the time interval you set. These
photos will be formed to a video, and you can only watch the video on a
computer.
Timer Setting
You can enable it to set a working period for the camera. It will enter the
standby mode if the time is not within the period.
If the start time is earlier than the current time, the setting will take
effect the next day.
If the start time is later than the current time, the setting will take effect
on the same day.
Loop Record
When the memory capacity is insufficient, the new video will overwrite the old
video in time sequence.
Camera Name
You can enable it to name your camera with 4 digits.
Security Code
You can enable it to set a password for your camera with 4 digits.
Note: If you forget the password, please hold down the “MENU” and “REPLAY” buttons and at the same time,turn the switch to the “TEST” position.
Auto WIFI Off
Setup the time so the camera will automatically turn off WiFi when it is not
connected a smart phone within the preset time.
Format
Format the memory card.
Default
Restore the camera to factory settings.
WiFi and APP Connection
App Installation
Before using the WIFI function, please install the APP on the smartphone
device.

WiFi Connection
There are two methods to turn on the wifi.
- Connect to camera wifi
- Connect the Bluetooth to turn on wifi.
Note : Before using the “VENARI” APP, please make sure the phone’s Bluetooth and WiFi functions are turned on.
Connect to camera wifi
- In “TEST” mode, press the “ ” button to turn on WiFi of the camera, the camera screen will display WiFi SSID and password (see picture below).
- Open the “VENARI” APP on the smartphone and then click the “Connect to Camera WIFI”
- The phone will automatically enter the WIFI connection interface, search for the WIFI named “TJ48K1W. And enter the password: 12345678
Connect the Bluetooth
Set the power button to “TEST” mode or “ON” mode.
Step 1: Open the “VENARI” APP on the smartphone and then click the ”
Bluetooth turn on WIFI” to enter the Bluetooth list.
Step 2: Select the corresponding Bluetooth name.(Hownic)
Step 3: The phone will automatically enter the WIFI connection interface,
search for the WIFI named “TJ48K1W: And enter the password: 12345678
Return back to APP after the WIFI successful connection. On the APP, you can
preview the picture being taken in real time, record videos, take pictures,
menu settings, file playback/download/delete, and download files can be viewed
in the APP album, and can be deleted or shared individually.
Note:
- When the WIFI is waiting for connection, WIFI status indicator will flash frequently.
- When the WIFI connected, the WIFI status indicator will flash once every second.
APP Operation
After successful connection, you can watch live video in the APP choose to
take photos/ record videos, change setup and download the files to your phone,
and manage the files in the APP menu.
Exit WIFI :
Method 1: Press the back button at the top left of the app (as shown in
the picture “Home Screen”) and prompt “Turn off the camera”.
Click”confirm” then WIFI will exit and turn off. The camera will also
return to the preview screen.
Method 2: Short press the ~ LEFT button on the camera to exit WIFI. the
camera will return to the main screen and the indicator will turn off. At the
same time, the APP will exit the connection screen simultaneously.
Mount Your Camera
For security, please close the cover, fix it with back cover via the buckles, then lock the camera with a padlock (not included)
- It is recommended that you mount your camera at an approximate height of your target animal and the views of the camera should not be obstructed.
- Face the camera north or south to avoid over exposure from the sun.

Mount your camera with the Adjustable Webbing Strap (included)
NOTE:
A Cable Lock(not included) can be used for protecting it from being stolen

Mount your camera to a stand (included) through the Screw Hole on the
bottom of the camera.

Simple Trouble Shooting
The camera will not turn on.| 1. Please check whether the batteries are
installed in proper way.
2. Check if the battery capacity is low or exhausted. If so, please replace
by new batteries.

The camera turns off automatically.| 1. Please check whether the battery
capacity is low or exhausted. If so, please replace by new batteries for
outdoor using or connect AC adapter for indoor using.
Please check if SD card is full. If so, please transfer images and videos to
your computer or delete some files in the REPLAY mode.
It shows “SD card Error”| 1. Please ensure that SD card is with class 10
standard or higher level.
Please use the camera to format SD card at the first time.
Videos are choppy or jumpy when played on a computer| 1. Try to use different
media players such as VCL player.
Ensure AVI format Video clip can be played on your computer.
The image is not clear| Please ensure that you have removed the protective
films on IR LEDs and lens before using.
The camera does not take images or record videos| Check if the capacity of the
SD card is full, transfer images or videos to your computer or delete some
files in the REPLAY mode.
Are rechargeable batteries allowed?| 1. No, because, rechargeable batteries
are normally 1.2V, but the
camera needs at least a batter y pack of 8*1.5V batteries.
Sometimes shoot blank photos with no moving targets in it.| 1. The PIR sensor
is very sensitive so that it will be triggered by some environmental factors
such as a piece of falling leaf when the setting is at high level, so it is
strongly recommended that the setting should be made at the medium level.
The “Video” and “Photo+ video” functions are not optional.| Please turn off
the “Time Lapse” function.
Maintenance and Disposal
Care
Do not use any corrosive cleaners, such as methylated spirits, thinners,
etc. To clean the camera housing and supplied accessories. When required, the
clean system components with a soft dry cloth.
Storage
If the camera is not used for a period of time, be sure to remove the
battery from the housing and store the battery separately. The battery can be
stored in a dry place out of reach of children during daily work and for
longer periods of time.
Care
For disposal, the packaging should be divided into different types and
disposed of in the collection containers provided in accordance with
environmental regulations. Batteries and accumulators shall not be disposed of
in household waste. The law obliges consumers to return used batteries to
public collection points.
