Getting Started Guide for Airs pan CPE-CBSD AirSpot 1310.
Instructions
Note: This guide is intended for the customer technicians when installing the device. 2.1 Entering the webGUI with Administrator Credentials
Entering the webGUI with Administrator Credentials
- Enter the SIM card into the device (when device is still powered off)
- Connect a laptop/PC Ethernet LAN card to the CPE-CBSD
- Power on the device (using PoE)
- Open Google Chrome on the laptop/PC, and type http:/1192.168.0.1 to access the webGUI.
- Enter the username: superadmin Enter the password: admin (Note: these are the administrator credentials for the technician)
Setting APN #1 Name
- Go to Setting ➔ Network ➔ APN Management
- Verify the “APN Number” shows #1
- Verify the “Status” is checked to “Enabled”.
- Enter the APN #1 Name according to the network
- Verify the “Default Gateway” is checked to “Enabled”
- Check the TR069 checkbox (in case customer has TR-69 server in its network)
- Press the Submit Button
Important Note: APN #1 is the Management APN communicating over internet
with the CBRS SAS and NTP Server.
Important Note: Correct UTC timing of the CPE-CBSD device is mandatory
for correct communication with CBRS SAS. CPE-CBSD device needs to receive as
part of LTE ATTACH process the correct UTC time as part of S1-NAS EMM message
(customer 4G EPC needs to provide this correctly).
Setting APN #2 Name (typically used in customer networks)
Important Note: If customer network is designed to operate with APN #1 only,
then APN #2 is not configured in the CPECBSD. Skip this section and continue
to the next section.
- Typically in customer networks there are 2 APNs: APN #1 for Device Management and APN #2 for end user data.
- Go to Setting ➔ Network ➔ APN Management
- Select the “APN Number” to #2
- Check the “Status” to “Enabled”.
- Enter the APN #2 Name according to the network
- Verify the “Default Gateway” is NOT checked
- Verify the TR069 is NOT checked
- Verify the SNMP is NOT checked
- Press the Submit Button
Entering CBRS SAS URL and User-ID
- Go to Setting ➔ System ➔ CBSD
- Verify the “Certificate Information” exists with Validity until 2030
Important Note: the CPE-CBSD comes from factory with a built-in certificate valid for operation with any commercial SAS. If the “Certificate Information” is empty, the device is malfunctioning and needs to be returned to Airspan for repair.
- Enter in “Registration Parameters” the following:
- “User ID” according to the commercial User ID received when establishing the contract with SAS
- “SAS URL” according to commercial SAS URL. Do NOT enter the https:// as part of the URL. Note: Sometimes SAS declare their URL ending with /v1 .2. Do NOT enter the /v1 .2 as part of the URL.
- Press the “Submit” button
- Go to Settings ➔ System ➔ Maintenance
- Press the “Regular Reset” button
- The device will reboot automatically
Important Note: this CPE-CBSD device is certified under FCC Part 96
rules. The CPE-CBSD will NOT pass user data traffic until reaching AUTHORIZED
state from CBRS Commercial SAS.
Important Note: this CPE-CBSD device is certified under FCC Part 96
rules. This device is a Category B CBSD which must be professionally
installed. For this CPE-CBSD the method of entering the CBRS Installation
Parameters to SAS is ‘WlnnForum CPI Multi-Step” (see next section for
details).
CPE-CBSD Installation Parameters for “WlnnForum CPI Multi-Step”
The AirSpot1310 CPE-CBSD device is certified under FCC Part 96 rules. This
device is a Category B CBSD which must be professionally installed. For this
CPE-CBSD the method of entering the CBRS Installation Parameters to SAS is
‘WlnnForum CPI Multi-Step”.
The Mandatory CBRS Installation Parameters to be entered in SAS portal by
WlnnForum CPI are the following:
- FCC-ID: PIDAS1310CPE (verify this FCC-ID on the label of the device)
- Serial Number: according to the label of the device
- Category: B
- Deployment Type: Outdoor
- Location: according to the location of the device taken by the WlnnForum CPI
- Antenna Parameters:
- Gain: 16dBi
- Horizontal Beam Width: 60 degrees
- Azimuth: according to the azimuth of the device taken by the WlnnForum CPI
- Down Tilt: according to the down tilt of the device taken by the WlnnForum CPI
Important Note: For some SAS portals, the WlnnForum CPI also must enter “CBSD Type: CPE” (NOT “CBSD Type: Base Station”)
