SYSTEM OVERVIEW
CENTAURI-200 Gateway is a central device to run the out-of-the-box demonstration. To do the setup, the user needs to provide Internet connectivity to CENTAURI-200 Gateway. The Gateway supports Ethernet, WiFi, and LTE to connect to the cloud. The user can add end devices to the system using the mobile application. Once the end devices are added to the system, the user can control them via the mobile application.
MOBILE APPLICATION SETUP
Installation (Android Mobile Application)
- The Spotify Android application is available on Google Play Store.
Installation (iOS Mobile Application)
- The Spotify iOS application is available on the Apple Application store.
Initial setup and User registration
- Launch/open installed application on the mobile. Users can see below screen

Gateway Initial setup
Follow the below steps for the initial Gateway setup
Gateway Setup with Wi-Fi
- Plug-in power cable in DC power input port of gateway available on the back panel.
- Plug out the Ethernet cable if it is plugged in.
- Power up the Gateway.
- After power-up, Gateway will be in Access point mode. It will broadcast SSID = Centauri_XXXX (XXXX = Last 4 digit of MAC address).
- Observe the LED indication.
o LED2 as solid RED indicates no internet connectivity if the gateway doesn’t have valid Wi-Fi credentials or does not have LAN or LTE connectivity. Wi-Fi credentials can be provided to the gateway through the mobile application
o LED1 as solid RED indicates Gateway is in Wi-Fi access point mode
o, Refer section Gateway LED indication for more details.
Gateway Setup with Ethernet cable
- Plug-in power cable in DC power input port of Gateway.
- Plugin Ethernet cable to Gateway Ethernet port.
- Power up the Gateway.
- Observe the LED indication.
o LED2 as RED indicates no internet connectivity.
o Refer to section Gateway LED indication for more details.
Gateway Commissioning [Registration]
A user needs to register the gateway using the mobile application to use the gateway to control and monitor end devices. To register the gateway, follow the below steps.
Gateway Registration
- Open the mobile application and log in using the user id. Users can see the below screen in the mobile application if none of the gateways is registered previously with the same user id.
- Users can add Gateway by touching “+” in the top right corner. It will show below screen. Follow the instruction given on-screen. On the Wi-Fi setting, the user shall connect to SSID Centauri_XXXX (XXXX=Last 4 digits of Gateway MAC). User should enter the Wi-Fi Password as centauri_XXXX (XXXX=Last 4 digits of Gateway MAC, e.g. “centauri_D1A5”)
o If the user is commissioning the gateway for the first time, the user does not need to reset Wi-Fi on GW by pressing SW2.
o If the user wants to factory reset the gateway, press SW2 for a long duration (more than 5 seconds) as mentioned in Table 2.
Once a user connects to the access point of the GW, the user needs to enter the Wi-Fi password as centauri_XXXX (XXXX=Last 4 digits of Gateway MAC, e.g. “centauri_D1A5”). After the user comes back to this application, the user will see the below screen. On this screen, the user shall select an Access point that GW will use for getting internet connectivity. (E.g. Home Wi-Fi router access point). The user will be prompted to enter a passphrase if that is configured on the selected SSID)
- After providing all correct input, the gateway will be commissioned, and it will be available on the application as shown below. Users can add multiple gateways to the application by following the same process.
- Long press on Gateway and select Gateway information. This will open the Gateway property window. Users can rename the gateway on this screen.
Factory reset the gateway
- SW2 switch can be used (long press) to factory reset the gateway if needed. Refer Gateway Switch indication for more details
