STREAMLINE SK07 Starter Kit with 20ft Telescopic Pole

Thank you for purchasing a STREAMLINE® MOBI™ STARTER KIT
The STREAMLINE® MOBI™ starter kit is designed for, simple but effective, cleaning of windows, facades and other flat surfaces. The deionising filter removes all contaminants from the water and ensures a clean and streak-free finish. The kit can be connected to any mains water source, and uses the water pressure to pressurise the system.

When cleaning windows, remember to pay special attention to the frames, especially if it is the first time this method of window cleaning is being used. The most important part of the cleaning process is the rinsing, after the window has been cleaned. To do this, lift the brush away from the glass and move the head from side to side working from top to bottom, allowing the water to create a sheet, therefore rinsing the glass. Extra care must be taken if the water refuses to ‘sheet’, as this makes rinsing successfully more difficult. If you are cleaning windows on a warm day, the rinsing procedure must be done meticulously, as warm, direct sunlight can cause spotting, due to insufficient rinsing.

Kit Includes:

  • 1x MOBI™ Filter

  • 1x 20ft Glass Fibre Pole

  • 1x 20m LITE-5™
    Hose Tubing

  • 1x Hi-Lo 10inch Brush

  • 2x Pencil Jets

  • 1x Anti-snag Aluminium
    Coupler Hose Kits

  • 1x Handheld TDS Meter

Installation Instructions

  • If the brush assembly has removable spray jets, insert these jets into the desired positions in the brush, and turn them through 90 degrees to secure the spray jets in place.
  • Screw the brush assembly onto the end of the telescopic pole.
  • Connect the thin red hose to the T-connector on the brush assembly. This hose runs down the centre of the telescopic pole and out the bottom, terminating in a hose connector.
  • Attach the hose connector to the outlet fitting of the deionising filter.
  • Attach the black, connecting hose to the inlet of the deionising filter and the other end to a mains water supply.
  • Turn on the tap at the mains water supply and regulate the water flow until a desired pressure is achieved out of the spray jets.
  • Test the water quality, measured in parts per million (PPM), by capturing a sample of water in the cap of the TDS meter. Switch the TDS meter on and dip and hold the tip of the meter in the water sample. The water TDS should read 000 PPM for an effective clean.

Service

The life of the deionising filter is directly relative to the PPM of the mains water supply. The filter will become exhausted quicker in hard water areas than in soft water areas. If the quality of the water measures more than 005PPM the resin is exhausted and must be replaced. If you have purchased a KIT012-252-012, the entire filter must be replaced with a new filter
(Part code: 38-213). All other KITS are serviced by replacing only the resin contents of the filter.
If you have purchased a KIT beginning with KIT042 & KIT052, follow this sequence;

  • Isolate the system by turning off the mains water supply and allow the system to depressurise completely.
  • Remove the hoses from the inlet and outlet connections.
  • Unscrew the filter bowl using the spanner provided.
  • Remove the filter cartridge, taking note of which side is up, in the housing.
  • Unscrew the cartridge cap and empty the resin contents.
  • The resin is not hazardous and must be disposed of in a responsible manner.
  • Refill the cartridge using fresh resin (Part code: MB115)
  • Reassemble the filter by reversing the above procedure.

If you have purchased a KIT beginning with KIT072 & KIT092, follow this sequence;

  • Isolate the system by turning off the mains water supply and allow the system to depressurise completely.
  • Remove the hoses from the inlet and outlet connections.
  • Remove the filter from the trolley, if you have purchased KIT092.
  • Unscrew the head of the filter vessel and draw the head and riser assembly out of the resin bed.
  • Invert the housing and empty the resin contents into a bucket or a suitable empty container. Use tap water to flush the resin residues out of the empty filter housing.
  • The resin is not hazardous and must be disposed of in a responsible manner.
  • Fill the housing with fresh resin, allowing an air gap at the top of approximately 3 inches. (Part code: MB115)
  • Clean the rim of the vessel and the sealing O-ring on the underside of the black lid and apply a thin film of lubricant to the rubber O-ring.
  • Re-introduce the riser and firmly press it through the resin bed.
  • If it doesn’t bottom, don’t force it, but lift up the vessel and give it a shake whilst keeping pressure on the top lid.
  • Screw the head on securely.
  • Reposition the filter vessel in the trolley, attach the hoses and check for leaks.
