USER GUIDE
Instructions before use
Before an operation, please read the USER GUIDE thoroughly and get familiar
with the characteristics of the Product. Improper operation may result in
product damage or property loss, or even serious injury to yourself or others.
While wearing and using the Product, you must be careful and have some common
sense. Failure to operate or wear the Product safely and properly may cause
injury or damage to the Product or other properties.
While wearing and using the Product, be sure to pay attention to your
surroundings. Make sure that you are using it in the areas and scopes allowed
and that you are not affected by alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may
impair your cognitive abilities.
Before using, you should know the local regulations, obtain proper
authorization, and understand the risks. It is your responsibility to comply
with all rules of use.
Make sure that you fully understand the functions, service conditions and
requirements and the critical emergency warning function of gotele-Xquad 03 as
well as all government regulations before each use. In case you encounter any
questions or problems in using or maintaining the Product, please contact
gotele or gotele’s authorized dealers or designated service providers.
Notice
Children must use the Product under adult supervision. Adults should keep
gotele-Xquad 03 out of reach of children and should be careful when helping
children wear it. Make sure that you are using genuine parts, and make sure
that all components’ functions are normal, the outer shell is not loose or
broken, and there is no abnormal sound. It is strongly recommended that you
check and maintain the Product regularly before wearing it.
Do not remove any part of the Product other than provided officially by gotele
without the official permission of gotele.
Please use original parts and components authorized by gotele. Parts and
components unauthorized by gotele may cause system failure and endanger
safety. Under such circumstances, gotele shall not be responsible for any
damage.
Safety instructions
- While using, you must wear correctly and adjust the Velcro to a comfortable position.
- Make sure the Product is used when it is located by the satellite.
- Do not use the Product in thunder, lightning or other extreme weather or environment.
- Before use, please read the full instructions and corresponding warnings carefully. For more information, please visit www.getele.cn.
Power on/off
Power on: Long press the power button for 1 second to turn on the device.
At this time, the screen lit up and various functions are activated.
Power off: Long press the power button for 1 second to turn off the
device. At this time, the screen brightness out and various functions are
closed.
Button names
Download APP
For a better experience, please download and install the gotele-Xquad App, Please visit gotele’s official website www.getele.cn to download the latest version, or search for “Xquad” in iOS App Store or Google Play to download. The Android version of Xquad App is compatible with Android 4.1.2 or higher systems. The iOS version of Xquad App is compatible with iOS 8.0 or higher systems.
First use
- When first use gotele-Xquad 03, please select the “up”, “down” and “confirm” buttons to name the device.
The first use home page interface
- When first using the Product, after entering the home page interfaceplease follow the instructions for a compass calibration.
First calibration failure prompt
- When it prompts “Compass calibration failed, please recalibrate”, you should press “confirm” to recalibrate
The prompt “there is a magnetic field in the surrounding environment, please recalibrate” indicates that the surrounding environment has a strong magnetic field, it is recommended to recalibrate in a different environment.
Home page interface
- GPS positioning status column: Gray indicates successful positioning, digital indicates the number of satellites, and red indicates unsuccessful positioning.
- Team status column: Quantity of people online/ Total quantity of a team (1/1 indicates no team) (4/5 indicates that 4 people are online and the total quantity of the team is 5)
Team creation

On the home page interface , press the “switch” button(as is shown in the Figure I below), the option of team creation will appear(as is shown in the Figure II below); press the “confirm” button to enter the team creation interface(as is shown in the Figure III below). The default is to tick the surrounding devices that have been turned on but have not yet formed a team. Press the “complete” button to complete team creation.

As shown in the Figure below, in case you do not want Tom to join the team, press the “down” button to select Tom press the “confirm” button to remove the “” of Tom, and then select the “complete” button to create the team
Notice: Two or more devices are required to use the team mode function -
In the Figure below, in case Tom is shown in a red box, it indicates that Tom has joined other teams and you can no longer select Tom to join the team.

As is shown in the Figure below, when the team is created successfully, the team details page will be entered. “0021” at the upper left corner is the team number (the team number is generated randomly and cannot be modified). The left column of the page is the team members’ name and the top right column is the destination information. The bottom right column is the information of the device.
Team information

The Figure below shows the information status of team member Tom under normal circumstances.

The Figure below shows the information status of team member Tom when he is offline (the distance and direction shown in red indicates that the team member Tom fails to locate his position, the time at the top of the information column is the time of the latest coordinate point recorded by the team member Tom).The red sign next to the team member Ben at the bottom of the team members’ name column is the offline sign.
Short message

On the team page, press the “switch” button to enter the message page (as is shown in the Figure I below). If you enter the “send message” in the first column(as is shown in the Figure II below), a built-in message will be displayed, which can be sent to all team members of the team. The following message is received from the team members.

In case you enter the “send message”, a built-in message will be displayed. After selecting the corresponding message, enter the “to be sent” interface. After selecting sending, you can send the message to the team members (in case the team members exceed the communication distance, they may not receive this message)
Notice: In case you need SOS, you can select “request SOS” from the built-in message to send team members SOS, which will be displayed on the screen all the time after the message is sent. In case you want to cancel it, you need to manually select and cancel SOS.
Track record

On the home page interface, press the “confirm” button, the options of track record and team members’ track will prop up.

When you select the track record option for the first time, you can select to start the track record (If you select to enable the track record, the latitude and longitude coordinates will be saved in the device, and the track line will be drawn during travelling).

When you enter the track record option again, you can select to end the track record.
Team members’ track

Select the “team members’ track” option, and the “track” window will pop up. Select a team member and press the “confirm” button to go back to the home page interface and view the team member’s track.

When it enters the “track” window again, you can select to view other team members’ tracks or hide team members’ tracks.
Home page interface after team creation
- The function of compass: When the traveling direction of the device points to the direction of the four buttons, namely, “switch”, “confirm”, “up” and “down”, and the direction perpendicular to the length direction of the screen’s main interface is the due north direction.
- On the home page, short press the “up” and “down” buttons respectively to zoom out and in the map (to achieve continuous zooming out, you can double-click + long press “up” button; similarly, to achieve continuous zooming in, you can double click + long press “down” button).
- On the home page, long press “confirm”, “back”, “up”, and “down” buttons respectively to realize the translation of the left, right, up, and down directions of the screen.
Dismiss (exit from) the team
On the team page ,when this device is the team leader, you can select the “dismiss” button to dismiss the team; when the device is the team member, you can select the “exit” button to exit from the team.
Setting
- After entering the setting page, the following settings will appear Destination coordinate pointGeo-fenceTrackCompass calibration time zone General and About.
Destination coordinate point
- After entering “Set the destination coordinate point”, the page of inputting longitude and latitude will pop up, as shown in Fig. 2. After inputting corresponding longitude and latitude coordinates, the complete button will pop up as shown in Fig. 3. After selecting “Complete”, the setting of the destination coordinate point is completed.
- If the closing of the destination coordinate point is expected, it is available to select “Close the destination coordinate point” in Fig. 1.
Geo-fence
- After selecting the Geo-fence option, the settable geo-fence radius will appear: There are 100M, 300M, 500M, 1KM, and 2KM. Select the corresponding geofence radius and return to the main interface, a fence circle will appear.
Historical track
- After selecting the “Track” option, the list of the historical track will be displayed. In case there is no track, it displays as shown in Fig. 1. In case there are tracks, it displays as shown in Fig. 2. The left side is the time of creating the track and the right side is the movement distance. After selecting the corresponding track, it will display detailed contents of tracks (as shown in Fig. 3) with the left circle displaying the track and the right side displaying the movement distance, accumulative climbing, activity time, and the time of creating the track.
Compass calibration
- After entering the “compass calibration” option, the calibration will be prompted. In case the calibration succeeds, it prompts success. In case the calibration fails or there is the surrounding magnetic field, it will prompt recalibration.
Time zone
- After entering the time zone option, you can select a local time zone and calibrate it to the local time.
General Setting
- After entering the general option, the content of the general setting will be displayed: BacklightUnit Language Intelligent power saving empty all track histories Empty the memory restore the factory setting .
- Backlight: Normally open, normally closed and normal
- Units: Metric system and the British system
- Language: Chinese and English
- Power Save: Open and close
- Empty All Tracks: You can empty all historical tracks
- Empty The Memory: Empty all memory information (including historical tracks and message contents)
- Restore Factory Setting: Restore the equipment to the factory state
About

After entering the “About” option, you can select the “Name” option to modify the equipment name. The following displayed contents are the information about the equipment.

After entering the “Name” option, you can rename the equipment. Select the save button upon the completion to finish the modification of the equipment name.
Equipment charge
- The equipment should be fully charged before the use of it.
- Insert the cable to the charging port of gotele Xquad.
- Select (DC 5V 1A) power supply to charge the equipment.
- In the figure below, Figure 1 shows the state of the device when it is charging, it shows the current battery power, and Figure 2 shows the state of the device when it is fully charged.
- After the battery is fully charged, please disconnect the charger.
Travel precautions
To avoid the fire, severe injuries and property loss, please observe the following rules:
- Before carrying the equipment on the plane, please put the equipment in dry, insulated and fire-proof bags or boxes.
- Please put the equipment in well-ventilated, dry and cool places.
- Although the equipment is provided with the certificate of air transport that verifies its safety, it is suggested that you consult the airline which you are taking in advance, especially for the international flight, because airlines may have different rules for a particular flight, time interval or environment.

Data storage and usage
When using the APP of the phone, product, or other software supplied by gotele,
the usage and operation data of the product, such as track data (eg. altitude, the coordinate of latitude and longitude, destination information, and sensor module information) and operation records can be automatically or manually uploaded to the server designated by gotele and be maintained on that. The memory of the product is mainly used for storing various data including track data.
Information automatically or manually uploaded to the server does not include personal information (that is, your name, address, e-mail, or other information that marks your identity). However, personal data (such as your user name) may be associated with such uploaded information when stored for identifying or marking such information. At the time of using the product, mobile App or other software sold by our company or uploading data to the server, you should agree to the following points.
• Store, upload or provide any usage data and other data, including data related to your user name.
• Use, upload and provide any such data (including your user name) for providing you with support and service and improving gotele product.
• Disclose such uploaded and provided data (including your user name) to the Agent and/or Contractor representing gotele or using such data due to a relationship with gotele.
According to law, considering public safety or policy, based on needs of gotele transferring its business assets or after confirming and identifying that sharing these data is necessary for protecting rights or properties of gotele, we can disclose such uploaded or provided data (including your user name). -
Test
It has passed the test of the qualified laboratory and verified the security of gotele Xquad 03, such as electrical test, electromagnetic compatibility test, mechanical test, radio equipment test and environment test, etc. -
Certificate
The equipment gotele Xquad 03 and its battery are provided with the certificate of major safety standards including FCC certificate and others. Additionally, it is also provided with the security certificate of the sea and air transport based on UN38.3.
The device has been evaluated to meet general RF exposure requirement. The device can be used in portable exposure condition without restriction.
FCC NOTICE:
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions: 1. This device may not cause harmful
interference and 2. This device must accept any interference received
including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by goTele could void the
user’s authority to operate the equipment.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class
B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or
television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and
on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more
of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio /TV technician for help.
