Technical description

The refrigerator can cool products to a maximum of 30 °C (MFV5M)/18 °C (MF15) under the ambient temperature (thermostat switches off at approx. +4 °C (MFV5M)/+5 °C (MF15) at “COLD” mode) or warm them and keep them warm to a maximum of 65 °C. A grid divider can be used to separate foodstuffs, e.g. bottles and fruit.5 Technical description

Energy saving tips
  • Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against direct sunlight.
  • Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the cooling device to keep cool.
  • Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
  • Do not leave the cooling device open for longer than necessary.
Using the cooling device

| NOTICE! Risk of damage

  • Ensure that the objects or goods placed in the cooling device are suitable for cooling or warming to the selected temperature.
  • Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy glass containers.
  • Ensure that your cooler is well ventilated so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.

| NOTE
MFV5F only:
For use as a milk cooler for coffee makers the refrigerator has holes in both sides sealed with a black plug. Remove the plug and push the milk tube into the appliance. The coffee maker can draw up cold milk directly from a suitable vessel inside the refrigerator. Seal the opening on the side of the appliance with the plug if you do not use the milk tube.

  • Place the refrigerator on a firm base.
Ensure that the ventilation slots are at least 10 cm away from the wall so that the heat that arises during operation can be drawn off.

  • MF15 only:Plug the DC connection cable into the DC socket (fig. ➌ 2, page 10) and connect it to DC voltage…or

  • Plug the AC connection cable into the AC voltage socket (fig. ➋ 5, page 9 or fig.➌ 1, page 10) and connect it to the AC mains.

  •  Push the switch (fig. ➋ 4, page 9 or fig.➌ 3, page 10) on the control panel to “HOT”,“COLD” or “MAX COLD” (MFV5M only) to switch the device on.
✓ The refrigerator starts cooling/heating the interior and the appropriate LED lights up

  •  If you wish to switch the refrigerator off:
Slide the switch (fig. ➋ 4, page 9 or fig. ➌ 3, page 10) to the “OFF” position

  •  Pull out the connection cable.

| NOTE If you are not going to use the refrigerator for a long time, leave the door slightly ajar to prevent unpleasant odours building up.

8 Troubleshooting

Fault Possible cause Suggested remedy
Device does not function, LED does not glow. MF15 only: There is no
voltage present in the DC socket in your vehicle. The ignition must be

switched on in most vehicles to apply current to the DC socket.
No voltage present in the AC voltage socket.| Try using another plug socket.
The integrated mains adapter is defective.| This can only be repaired by an authorised customer services unit.
The device does not cool (plug is inserted, LED glows).| The inner fan or the cooling element is defective.| This can only be repaired by an authorised customer services unit.

Pull the plug out of the socket and make the following checks| The DC socket is dirty. This results in a poor electrical contact.| If the plug of your refrigerator becomes very warm in the DC socket, either the DC socket must be cleaned or the plug has not been assembled correctly
The fuse of the DC plug has blown.| Replace the fuse (5 A) in the DC plug (fig. ➌ 1, page 3).
The vehicle fuse has blown.| Replace the vehicle‘s DC socket fuse. Please refer to the operating manual of your vehicle.
