BEFORE USE OR INSTALLATION
Safety Precautions
The following safety precautions are intended to prevent unforeseen hazards or
damage in advance by using the product safely and correctly.

When installing

Please contact a service center or installation shop to install the product.

Do not clean with strong solvent-based detergent. Use a soft cloth.
– It may cause fire or product deformation. -
Do not touch with wet hands or pull the connecting cable.
– It may cause electric shock or failure. -
If anyone other than a licensed Professional installs, repairs, or alters LG Electronics air conditioning Products, the warranty is voided.
– All costs associated with repair are then the full responsibility of the owner. -
The warranty period is 1 year from the date of purchase.
Precautions for ZigBee dongle Installation

It must be installed by a professional installer.
-
The ZigBee thermostat should be installed within 30 meters.
It is recommended to be installed near the product. -
Install in a place free from electromagnetic interference.
It may cause malfunction of the product. -
If there is a wall or obstacle between the ZigBee dongle and the
ZigBee thermostat, communication issues may occur. -
If it is attached to steel structures such as H beams, steel plates, indoor cabinets, etc., communication issues may occur

Do not install the product in a place with high temperature or humidity such as a kitchen or bathroom.

Install at least 1cm away from the metal panel.

Can not use a WiFi dongle and a ZigBee dongle at the same time.

If the user has a WiFi dongle installed, unplug it and connect the ZigBee dongle.
Note

ZigBee dongle is equipped with Thermostat Cluster Server and Fan Control Cluster Server.

ZigBee thermostat should be equipped with Thermostat Cluster Client and Fan Control Cluster Client.
-
It can be used after ZigBee join and bind the process.

It will not work on a general thermostat without Zigbee capabilities

ZigBee dongle is only available for Multi V Indoor is compatible.

ZigBee dongle can be applied simultaneously with the following accessories.
– Contact type dry contact, Central controller. -
If you use accessories other than the above, an problem may occur

- Check if the indoor unit is turned off and the power of the outdoor unit is turned off.
- Open the control box of the indoor unit.
- Connect the USB cable to the indoor unit PCB (CN_WF).
- Connect the ZigBee dongle to the USB cable.
- Install the ZigBee dongle on the flat ceiling near the indoor unit or on the corner of the indoor unit panel. (Use the included double-sided tape to fix it in place.)

ZIGBEE THERMOSTAT COMMISSIONING
- Use the USIM pin to press and hold the button in the hole of the ZigBee dongle for 3 seconds.
- The green LED of the ZigBee dongle blinks when commissioning start.
- Start commissioning by pressing the commissioning button on the ZigBee thermostat.
- After commissioning is completed, the green LED of the ZigBee dongle is turned on.

Note
- The ZigBee dongle only supports 2.4 GHz radiofrequency.
- The join and bind process is included in commissioning.
- Commissioning: press the button 3 seconds (commissioning timeout: 5 minutes)
- Factory reset: press the button 9 seconds
- To connect to another device after commissioning, factory reset first, start commissioning
- For the commissioning button of the ZigBee, thermostat refer to the ZigBee thermostat’s manual.
- General thermostats cannot connect to the ZigBee dongle.
- Features provided may vary by model.
CHECKLIST BEFORE REPORTING FAILURE
