Working Modes

For a better user experience, we have designed two working modes: [General model [iPod mode]. Android phone is only supported to work in general mode. For iPhone Apple Music users, we recommend choosing iPod mode.

| Playlist Display| Track Info Display| Head unit button control| Steering wheel control
---|---|---|---|---
iPhone Apple Music (iPod mode)| | | |
iPhone Spotify/ Pandora/
another audio app (iPod mode)| | | |
iPhone Apple Music (General mode)| | | |
iPhone Spotify/ Pandora/
another audio app (General mode)| | | |
Android phone Spotify/Pandora/ other audio app (iPod mode/ General mode)| | | |

iPod mode

  • Slide the button to the right position to choose iPod mode, if you see blue light ON(red light OFF), it means iPod mode is working.
PS: If you wanna slide the button to change the working mode after you slide the button, you must unplug our device and replug our device again to reset it, then the mode switching will make effective.

  • MUST SUBSCRIBE APPLE MUSIC and SAVE ONE SONG at least on the Apple Music app for iPhone users in iPod mode.
PS: If you didn’t save one song on Apple Music, the head unit system won’t detect our device, and the error will occur.

Note:
We recommend choosing iPod mode for iPhone user who prefers the Apple Music app.

General mode

  • Slide the button to the left position to choose the general mode, if you see red light ON and blue light blinking, it means the general mode is working.

PS: If you wanna slide the button to change the working mode after you slide the button, you must unplug our device and replug our device again to reset it, then the mode switching will make effective.

Note:
We recommend choosing General mode for iPhone Spotify/Pandora users who don’t like subscribing Apple Music app.
Because iPod mode must subscribe Apple Music app and save one song on its app.

Instructions for General mode:
At [General model], you can use head unit/ steering wheel buttons to change tracks. Choose [Prey] for the previous track. Choose [Next] for next track.

Why there is a problem as the picture shows?

First-time use, you will encounter problems as the above picture shows.

Reason: Once the Audi MMI2G connector is powered on, the Audi MMI2G connector must connect to the external device and receive signals from the external device within 5 seconds. If it exceeds 5 seconds, the error as above picture shown will occur.

Solution:

  1. First-time use, plug our adapter into the AMI connector, and please connect our Bluetooth successfully. (Don’t delete the paired Bluetooth anymore, just keep it forever until you  don’t want to use it)
  2. Slide the button to the left position to select general mode. Make sure both red light and blue light are ON. (The red light means it is a general model, just keep it forever until you don’t  want to use it)
  3. The error occurred, just again unplug and replug our adapter. (Important! This step will make the AMI2G connector to connect our adapter within 5 seconds) It will work.
Tips: After first time use, please keep your phone’s Bluetooth connected to our adapter forever before starting your car engine.

Bluetooth connection failure / Car radio doesn’t recognize Bluetooth adapter / No audio files/ No playable data found on medium.

Solutions: Choose General mode.

  1. Slide the button to the left position to select General mode.
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Unplug and replug the Bluetooth adapter.
Don’t forget to do this step. (important)
