SAFETY REGULATIONS
General
- Read the instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
- Use this device only as described in this manual.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. understand usage.

Electricity and heat
- Before use, check wheter the mains voltage is the samen as the mains voltage stated on the device.
- Make sure you always use a grounded outlet to connect the device.
- Always remove the plug from the socket before moving the appliance and when the appliance is not in use.
- When removing the plug from the socket, pull the plug, not the cord.
- Check the cord regularly for damage. Do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged. Have a damaged battery replaced only by a qualified service center.
- Certain parts of the appliance may become hot. Do not touch these parts to avoid burns.
- The appliance needs space to allow the heat to escape and avoid the risk of fire. Check that the appliance has sufficient space around it and that it does not come into contact with combustible material. The device must not be covered.
- Make sure that the appliance, the cord or the plug do not come into contact with hot surfaces.
- Make sure that the appliance, the cord and the plug do not come into contact with water.
During use
- Never use the device outside.
- Place the device on a flat, stable surface.
- Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning it.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a draining board, counter or table.
- Make sure your hands are dry before handling the appliance, cord or plug.
- Never use the device in a damp room.
- Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or other liquids.
- Do not pick up the device if it falls into water. Immediately remove the plug from the socket and stop using the appliance.
- Use only the base supplied with the kettle. Never use the foot for any other purpose.
- Remove the jug from the base and fill it with tap water. Never fill the jug above the maximum level.
- Do not switch on the appliance until it has been filled with water. Use only cold water.
- The lid of the jug must be completely closed during use.
- Never open the lid while the water is still boiling.
- Only use the appliance for heating or boiling water. Never use it for other liquids.
- Fill the jug with at least 0.5 liters of water.
- Let the appliance cool down before you put it away.
- Do not operate the appliance by means of an external timer or a remote control.
- Beware of hot water during use. You can seriously burn yourself.
- If you want to heat the water without boiling it, you can switch off the kettle at any time.
- This appliance is intended for household and similar use such as:
- In staff kitchens of shops, offices and other work environments;
- Farms;
- By hotel and motel guests or guests from other residential areas;
- In bed and breakfasts or similar environments.
- If the pitcher is too full, boiling water may spill out.
- WARNING: avoid spilling on the foot.

FIRST USE
Before first use, remove any residue from the manufacturing process by boiling 3 full pitchers of water. Throw the water away.
USING THE KETTLE
- Open the lid.
- Fill the jug with the required amount of water ( at least between 0.5 and 1.7 liter). Never fill the kettle with too much water, above the max level. Otherwise boiling water may splash out.
- Close the lid again. Always close the lid when boiling water.
- Place the foot on a stable, flat surface.
- Insert the plug of the base into the socket.
- Place the jug on the base.
- Turn the switch to I.
- The lamp lights up. The jug heats up.
- As soon as the water boils, the kettle switches off automatically.
- To switch off the kettle manually, set the switch to 0 or simply lift the jug off the base.
WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGE
The water temperature gauge always shows you the temperature of the water in
the kettle. Use the meter when making drinks that require different
temperatures, such as green tea, white tea, coffee, etc. the meter will not
work if there is too little water in
the jug ( less than the minimum level).
GENERAL
Some moisture may remain on the base when you lift the jug. Don’t worry-
it’s the steam that is used to switch off automatically, which then condenses
and escapes through vents under the kettle.
OVERHEATING PROTECTION
The jug is equipped with an overheating protection. This switches the kettle off if there is too little water in the jug during use. Let the kettle cool down for at least 10 minutes before using it again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Remove the plug form the socket and let the appliance cool down.
- Clean the jug with a damp cloth. Never submerge it in water. Never clean the kettle in a dishwasher. Make sure that the electrical connections do not get damp.
- If the inside of the jug is severely discolored, it is best to clean it with a damp cloth and a little baking soda. Rinse the pitcher ground after cleaning.
NOTE:
- Never use an aggressive detergent, abrasive or sharp object ( such as a knit or stiff brush) for cleaning.
- Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and let it cool completely.
DESCALE
The kettle must be descaled regularly because scale particles in the tap water can cause deposits on the inside of the appliance over time. This limescale can have a negative effect on the functioning of the kettle. You can use a descale that is available in stores. In that cases follow the instructions on the packaging of the descale. You can also descale the appliance with cleaning vinegar. Follow the instructions below.
- Pour 3 cups of cleaning vinegar into the kettle. Then add water until the hot bottom of the device is filled. Leae the water with the vinegar in the kettle overnight.
- Empty the kettle and rinse the inside thoroughly. Fill the kettle with water and bring the water to a boil. Empty the kettle and rinse the inside thoroughly again. Repeat this procedure until you can no longer smell vinegar. Possible stains left in the spout can be cleaned with a damp cloth.

BCC B.V. gives a 2 year warranty on all defects that are the result of the hidden defects and that make the device unfit for normal use.

The warranty start at the time of purchase; keep the proof of purchase carefully.

Within the warranty period, any manufacturing and/or material defects will be rectified by us free of charge, either by repair, replacement of parts or exchange of the device.

Repair will only be carried out under warranty if it is convincingly demonstrated
(by means of your purchase receipt) that the day on which the complaint is submitted falls within the warranty period. -
The warranty expires if the defect is caused by damage as a result of an accident, incorrect use, neglect (e.g. not cleaning properly) or if interventions have been carried out or repairs have been carried out outside the service workshop of
BCC B.V. ( expect disassembly as stated in the user manual. -
The warranty is also not valid for connection to the wrong voltage, failure to follow the user manual and normal wear and tear of the device.

The warranty also does not cover damage caused by not descaling devices in time, regardless of which water is used ( this applies, of course, especially to steam irons, coffee makers and kettles.

BCC B.V. cannot be held liable for material damage or personal accidents as a result of connection in violation of the locally applicable safety regulations and technical standards (e.g. a faulty socket). The guarantee does not give any right to compensation under any circumstances.

All other claims for damages, including damage, are excluded unless otherwise required by law.
