Feature and Brew Guide
Hello Friend,
Start here to embark on your Corvo EKG journey.
Soon, you and I will be inseparable. Some people say the bond between brewer
and kettle is even stronger than the bond between mother and child. And by
some people, I mean I said that once. So it must be true. Anyway, I’m looking
forward to brewing great tea and coffee together for years to come. In the
meantime, check out this guide to help you get started:
Pages 1+ 2: Corvo EKG Features Guide
Quickly learn the ins and outs of your new electric kettle to take advantage
of the different temperature and timing settings.
Pages 3+4: How To Evaluate Tea + Coffee
With Corvo EKG’s variable temperature control, you can brew with to-the-degree
precision. For both tea and coffee, water temperature is critical. Dial-in
your degrees and bid goodbye to bitterness and burning. Then, use our tasting
guide to learn how to evaluate your cup.
It’s important to read all of these pages before using Corvo EKG so you’re
fully informed. It’s even more important that you please read all safety and
warning instructions before using this kettle. Keep all instructions for
future reference. Seriously though.

How To Evaluate Tea + Coffee
What do you smell? Look for a subtle bouquet of herbs, fruits, flowers, and
other smells.
The aroma can help you identify freshness, overall quality, and any defects or
off-tastes in the bean or leaves.
Not to be confused with sourness, which can be a defect, acidity is a
brightness that can give tea and coffee life! Look for sweet tartness and
delicate crispness in many
great teas and coffees. For coffee, in general, dark roasted beans will be
less acidic.
Body, or mouthfeel, can be thought of as the weight of tea and coffee. To simplify, think to skim milk vs. 2% vs. whole milk. Is the mouthfeel of your drink light and silky, heavy and rich, or thin and lifeless?.
Flavor attempts to identify specific tastes. Floral, fruit, tobacco, wine,
nutty, earthy, spice, and smoky are just a few of the many ways to describe
tea and coffee. What can you
identify?
Sweetness
Is your drink super sweet or only subtle? Does the sweetness resemble that of caramel, hard candy, or peaches?
What lingers after your drink is consumed?
Great teas and coffees remain on the tongue even after the drink has been
consumed. Look for sweetness and pleasing flavors to endure.
