“More and more people worldwide suffer from hearing loss as a result of noise
pollution, and young adults and children are at risk of noise-induced hearing
loss because of the increasing use of headphones to listen to music.” –
(British Journal of Hospital Medicine, September 2019).
All of our Planet Buddies kids headphones are volume limited to 85 decibels
which is the level recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). The
child-safe audio limit on our kids headphones helps to prevent noise-induced
hearing loss. Listening at a maximum level of 85 decibels makes it safe to
enjoy up to 8 hours of audio a day.

Charlie’s Story
Hi! I’m Charlie the Tiger. I live in tropical forests with lots of trees and tall grass! I am a very strong swimmer and like to find lakes and rivers where I can splash around and cool off. We are excellent hunters and the biggest cats in the whole world! GRRR! But deforestation is destroying my home and poachers are threatening my safety…
How you can help me:
- Volunteer for litter-picking to keep our world clean
- Say NO to single-use plastic bags
- Use public transport to reduce your carbon footprint
- Spread the word!
Planet Buddies is dedicated to raising awareness for endangered animals all
over the world. Our goal is to educate children about the issues that threaten
animals with extinction. This includes loss of habitat, global warming, and
harmful substances ending up in our oceans. Our aim is to share knowledge and
inspire change in our future generations to help protect all life on our
planet.
We’ve teamed up with World Land Trust (WLT) and Marine Conservation Society

Is it safe for kids to use headphones?****

In the same way that other loud noises do, headphones harm your ears, causing what audiologists refer to as “noise-induced hearing loss.” Over time, the sounds coming from your headphones force the cochlea’s hair cells to bend too sharply or excessively. They may never fully recuperate if they don’t have enough time.
