Hissing Wombat HS-111 Dystopia Distortion
Overview
The Dystopia Distortion is a stereo eurorack module. It provides soft and hard clipping and a combination of both.
You can select the clipping mode per channel using the toggle switches. If you enable both toggles on a channel, you get a smoother wave shape than with the other modes. You can change the gain using the potentiometers in the middle of the module individually per channel. The two channels are independant from each other. You can use them for one stereo signal or two different mono signals. You can also patch the output of the first channel into the input of the second to further increase gain and distortion.
Installation
IMPORTANT: Turn your power supply off during the installation procedure!
The required screws and a power cable are included with the module.
This module is designed for synthesizers following the Eurorack standard. It uses 2×5 pin ribbon cables to power connected Eurorack modules. The red stripe of the ribbon cable must be placed on the side of the connector that has the red stripe marking.
Connect the power cable before mounting the module into your rack. Place the module into a free position of your rack and align the screw holes to the mounting holes of your threaded rail or to the threaded plaits.
If you are happy with the position, use the included M2 screws to tighten the module down.
