Introduction

Dear Customer. Thank you for purchasing our Kooduu Nordic Light PRO. We hope you enjoy listening to your favorite tunes whilst enjoying the calmness of the flames.
This product complies with the statutory national and European requirements. To maintain this status and to ensure safe operation, you as the user must observe these operating instructions!
These operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important notes on commissioning and handling. Also, consider this if you pass on the product to any third party. Therefore, retain these operating instructions for reference!

Intended use

This Nordic Light PRO is intended to be used as a lifestyle product. The product serves as a multifunctional speaker, oil lamp, and/or tea light. Its top chamber can be used with the Kooduu Oil Refill Cartridge. Any use. other than described above, can damage the product. Additionally. this is connected to dangers, such as short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of this product must be modified or converted! Read these operating instructions completely and attentively; they contain important information on setup, function, and operation. Always observe the safety information!

The warranty/guarantee will expire if the damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with these operating instructions. We do not assume any liability for consequential damage, nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper use or failure to observe the safety information. The following safety information Is intended not only for the protection of your health but also for the protection of the device. Please read the following carefully:
The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and approval reasons.
The product is only suitable for dry areas. Do not expose it for long periods of time to direct sunlight, heat, cold, dampness, or wetness: otherwise, it may cause damage to the product.
There is a danger of fire or potentially fatal electric shock. If this is the case. first power down the respective socket (e.g. switch off the circuit breaker) and then pull the power adaptor from the socket. Disconnect all cables from the device. Handle the product with care. It can be damaged by impact, blows or when dropped even from a low height.
This product is not a toy and is not suitable for children. Children cannot judge the dangers Involved when handling electrical devices. Do not leave packing material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children. Also, observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that you connect to the speaker. Please follow the national and local regulations when using this product.
This product is only to be used with the designated oil: the “Kooduu Refill Cartridge’
This product is only to be used on a stable, level surface.
This product is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the product by a person that is responsible for their safety.
This product is not to be used as a heating appliance.
This product is not to be used when it is fallen if there are any signs of damage or when it leaks.
This product is not to be used near direct heat sources. This product is not to be used without supervision. Do not change the construction of this product.
Do not put any flammable items on this product, other than the intended Kooduu oil refill cartridge.
Do not use spare parts other than recommended by the manufacturer, these can cause injuries and will invalidate any warranty that you may have.
This product has to be cooled down before removing or replacing (spare) parts.
All repairs should be made by a competent qualified repair service (‘).
By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damage.

Risk of injury/damage

Keep the packaging of the product out of children’s reach. There is a danger of suffocation.
Keep children and pets away from refill cartridges and the product.
Be sure to follow the notices on the refill cartridges.
The refill cartridge is not suitable for drinking. If ingested, please seek medical attention immediately and present the package label. If the oil is spilled on a wooden floor or a piece of furniture, it may leave marks.
Do not prepare food over the flame
Do not burn other material over the flame.
The glass and the metal parts of this product are not to be touched with your bare hands, because these surfaces will become hot during use and also remain hot for some time after the flame has been extinguished. Do not touch the product until it is completely cooled off.
Please check the glass before installation; if there’s dust inside the glass or the edge is chipped do not use the product. Fire hazard
Do not extinguish the fire with water Do not place any foreign objects on or in the product. Do not cover or plug the vents of the product. Do not fan the flame (e. g. using a hairdryer). Do not smoke, eat or drink while replacing the refill cartridge of the product. This product is not to be moved when in use or when loaded with an oil refill cartridge. When oil is spilled on or next to the product, wipe it off immediately and then use water to wipe the affected area again so there is no risk of accidental ignition. Despite all safety precautions, if a fire breaks out, you could use an alcohol-resistant foam or carbon dioxide as extinguishing agents. At all times keep an adequate extinguisher at hand close to the product.

6. Access your Nordic Light PRO operating area.
Step 1 : Use the Magnetic Key to open the Security panel by placing it in the center of the panel.
Step 2: Slowly pull away and downwards and let the cover hang freely.
7. Setup mono speaker (single-unit) connection.
Step 1: Before first use, turn off the Bluetooth function of any other Bluetooth device near the speaker.
Step 2: Press the On/Off key for about 3 seconds on the unit. You will hear a start-up sound and the blue LED indicator light will fast flash.
Step 3: Now turn on “Bluetooth” on your mobile phone and search for Nordic Light PRO on discoverable devices In your Bluetooth menu and pair with the unit.
Step 4: You will be prompted for a code. The code is “5 6 3 8”
Step 5: After you hear the connection sound “beep” the product is successfully paired. This can be confirmed by the CONNECTED sign/wording on your smart device.
Step 6: The Blue indicator light will become solid Blue. You can now play your favorite music.

8. Volume settings
In order to adjust the volume using the connected smart device to adjust the volume up or down.
9. Pairing to new phone
If you need to pair the speaker to a new device, you need first turn off the Bluetooth on the connected phone. Wait for 5 seconds and then connect with the new device.
10. Turn off the Nordic Light PRO
To turn off the product press and hold the on/off button until the LED light turns off. You will hear a short melody, indicating that the device is now OFF.
11. Setup multiple speaker connections
If you have multiple Kooduu products you want to pair, make sure to follow these instructions.
Step 1: Before first use, turn off the Bluetooth function of any other Bluetooth device near the speaker.
Step 2: Press the On/Off key for about 3 seconds on the unit. You will hear a start-up sound and the blue LED indicator light will fast flash.
Step 3: Choose the unit that will be the “Master
Step4: Double press the “Masters° ON/OFF button — the blue LED will now flash slower.
Step5: Choose the next “Follower” unit to connect.
Step 6: Single press the “Follower’s” ON/OFF button—the blue LED will now turn off.
Step 7 : Let the “Follower” automatically connect to the “Master speaker. You will hear a “beep” tone once the connection between the ‘Follower” and the “Master” speaker is successfully made.
Repeat from step 5- to Step 7 with all the “Followers” you wish to pair to the “Master.
Step8: In order to finalize the pairing, double press the “Master’s” ON/OFF button — the blue LED will now flash quickly again.
DO NOT PRESS ANY OF THE “FOLLOWER” UNITS ON/OFF BUTTONS.

Step 9: The “Master” unit is now visible for Bluetooth pairing.
Step 10: Enter the Bluetooth menu on your smart device or computer and start pairing with Nordic Light PRO “Master”.
Step 11: You will be prompted for a code. The code is “5 6 3 8”
Step 12: After you hear the connection sound “beep” the product is successfully paired. This can be confirmed by the CONNECTED sign/wording on your smart device.
The LED of the “Master” is now solid Blue.
Once all units have been paired the settings will be remembered and next time the units are turned on, they will “automatically” pair to the previous settings.
NOTE: If you do not finalize the pairing by double-pressing the “Master’s” ON/OFF; no successful Bluetooth connection can be established. The “Master’s” Bluetooth will be visible on your smart device, but no connection is possible.

12. Adding more “Follower” units to an existing multi-system:
Step 1: Locate the “Master” unit.
Step 2: Double press the “Master” (while the unit is on).
Step 3: Choose the next “Follower” unit to connect to.
Step 4: Single press the “Follower’s” ON/OFF button — the blue LED will now turn off.
Step 5: Let the “Follower” automatically connect to the “Master” speaker. You will hear a “beep” tone once the connection between the “Follower” and the “Master” speaker is successfully made.
Step 6: In order to finalize the pairing, double press the “Master’s” ON/OFF button — the blue LED will now flash quickly again and you can now connect a smart device or laptop to the master as described in section 11, step 9.
DO NOT PRESS ANY OF THE EXISTING “FOLLOWER” UNITS ON/OFF BUTTONS.

In order to go back to the factory setting on your Nordic Light PRO, Turn off the Nordic Light PRO by holding the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds (only if the product is in ON Mode).
Wait 3 seconds. Now hold and press the ON/OFF button for 10 seconds until the LED turns ON, OFF, and then ON again.
This needs to be done if you want the unit to “remove” any previously paired phones or Master/Follower units.
15. Charging
Access the Nordic Light PRO keypad by using the key and inserting the USB C jack into the USB C port. If you are using the product for the first time, it is recommended to leave the USB C jack plugged-in for a minimum of 12 hours, in order to charge the internal battery fully.
General Notes:
For an optimal experience, keep your mobile device within 3-5m of the Master speaker unit. Position your units in the same room or outdoor area within 5-10m from the Master unit, free from obstructions.
The performance of your Nordic Light PRO products may vary based on device, distance, and other environmental factors.

Installing the Oil cartridge.

Step 1 : Remove the glass shade from the speaker unit, and set it aside.
Step 2: Remove the cartridge cover by turning it anti-clockwise.
Step 3: Remove the safety cap on your Kooduu refill cartridge to expose the wick.
Step 4: Place the Kooduu refill cartridge, making sure the cartridge is centered.
Step 5 : Place the cartridge cover over the cartridge and turn it clockwise until tight. You may now light the Wick and place the glass back on top of the speaker unit. Make sure the edges of the glass shade is inside the silicone guard. Enjoy the ambient shine of your Nordic Light PRO.

Maintenance and cleaning

Servicing or repair must only be carried out by a specialist or specialist workshop. The product contains no parts that require servicing by you. Therefore, never open the product (except for the procedures described in these operating instructions). A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning the outside.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents, alcohol, or other chemical solutions that would damage the casing (discoloration).

Disposal

a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste! At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations. Remove any inserted batteries/rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable
Batteries You as the end-user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable bat-stories. Disposing of them in household waste is prohibited! Batteries/rechargeable batteries that contain any hazardous substances are labeled with the adjacent icon to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The descriptions for the respective heavy metals are Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, and Pb=lead (the names are indicated on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. below the rubbish bin symbol shown on the left).
You may return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection points in your community, in our stores, or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold. You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
