LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY 308-1415BWv2 Wireless Temperature Station

Power Up

  1. Insert 2-AA batteries into your Outdoor Sensor.
  2. Insert 2-AA batteries into your Temperature Station.
  3. Once the Outdoor Sensor is reading to your station, place it outside in a shaded location to protect from the sun’s heat.

Custom Date Display

Press the SET button to select between full Weekday or Calendar (Weekday, Month, Date) display.

Month/Date or Date/Month Display

In the Settings Menu, choose Month/Date or Date/Month calendar display.

Button Functions

The buttons are located on the front of your station.

SET| Press to view full Weekday or Calendar display. Hold to enter the Settings Menu.

+ (PLUS)

| Press to view HI/LO Records. Hold to search for outdoor sensor.

Settings Menu: Press to increase value. Hold to increase quickly.

– (MINUS)| Settings Menu: Press to decrease value. Hold to decrease quickly.

When viewing HI/LO Records: Hold to delete a record.

ALARM| Press to activate/deactivate alarm. Alarm Icon  will show when alarm is active. Hold to enter Alarm Settings.

Settings Menu

  1. Hold the SET button to enter the Settings Menu.
  2. Use the + / – button to adjust and SET to confirm.

Settings Menu order:

  • Language (English, Spanish, French)
  • Beep ON/OFF
  • 12/24 Hour Time
  • Hour
  • Minutes
  • Year
  • Month
  • Date
  • Month/Date or Date/Month Display (see below)
  • Fahrenheit/Celsius

Language: When Español or Francais is selected, the following instructions and weekday will be presented in that language.
Weekday: Weekday sets automatically when Year, Month and Date are set.

Alarm

Set Alarm

  1. Hold the ALARM button to enter settings mode.
  2. Press the + / – button to adjust the flashing values.
  3. Hold the + / – buttons to adjust quickly.
  4. Press the ALARM button to confirm adjustments and move to the next item or exit

Note: Alarm is crescendo sound. When the alarm sounds, it continues for 2 minute and then shuts off completely.

Deactivate/Activate Alarm

  • The alarm is active when set.
  • From normal time display, press and release the ALARM button to deactivate or activate the alarm. The alarm time will show for 2 seconds.
  • Alarm Icon and ALARM ON will show then active
  • ALARM OFF will show when inactive.

HI/LO Temperature Records

The HI & LO temperature and humidity readings are recorded with time and date of occurrence.
To view your HI or LO records, simply press and release the + button.

  • Outdoor HI Temperature
  • Outdoor LO Temperature
  • Indoor HI Temperature
  • Indoor LO Temperature

Reset HI or LO Records

  • While viewing individual values, hold the – button for 3 seconds to reset the individual value. Value, time and date stamp will reset to current.
  • This is a historical HI/LO temp readings since the weather station was first set up. This comes directly from the weather station.

Low Battery Indicator

  1. When Battery Indicator shows next to the Outdoor Temperature, replace batteries in your Outdoor Sensor.
  2. When Battery Indicator shows next to the Indoor Temperature, replace batteries in your Station.

Search for Outdoor Temperature

If you are seeing dashes for your outdoor readings, please try the following steps:

  1. Hold the + button to search for your outdoor sensor. The Reception Indicator will begin to animate.
  2. If after 3 minutes the sensor still isn’t connected, bring the sensor inside next to the display and remove power from both the sensor and clock.
  3. Press any button on the clock 20 times and leave the parts sit for a few moments with the power off.
  4. Install a new set of alkaline batteries into the sensor, then into your clock. For additional help visit: bit.ly/basic_restart
  5. If your outdoor data is still not appearing after these steps, please contact our support staff via the links below.

Care & Maintenance

Battery Replacement Instructions
When batteries of different brand or type are used together, or new and old batteries are used together, some batteries may be over-discharged due to a difference of voltage or capacity. This can result in venting, leakage, and rupture and may cause personal injury.

  • Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
  • Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time, taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types.
  • Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
  • Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
  • Remove batteries from product during periods of non-use. Battery leakage can cause corrosion and damage to this product.
  • Remove used batteries promptly.
  • For recycling and disposal of batteries, and to protect the environment, please check the internet or your local phone directory for local recycling centers and/or follow local government regulations.
