Valley Plate Installation Instructions
LS Classic Series
General Installation Notes:
Please read these instructions completely before beginning the installation.

Before beginning the installation, disconnect the negative battery cable and
use wheel chocks to block the vehicle’s wheels.
We recommend using an anti-seize lubricant on all aluminum threads.
Installation of this valley plate will require that the engine’s knock sensors
be relocated.
Refer to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 for the component names.
If you will be applying any sort of a finish (paint, powder coat, etc.) to the
new Valley Plate or hardware, do so before beginning the installation.
Step 1: Remove the intake manifold and existing valley plate (if
applicable).
Step 2: Make sure the valley plate sealing surface on the engine block is
clean.
Step 3: Install the provided valley plate gasket into the groove around
the perimeter of the new Valley Plate. Fig. 3
Step 4: Place the valley plate into position on the engine block. Install
the ten M8 x 20mm button head bolts, and snug them down finger tight. Then,
using a torque wrench ith 5mm hex bit, torque the bolts to 18 lb.-ft.,
starting in the center and working your way out in a crisscross pattern.
Step 5, With Breather: In the PCV vent hole, install a 1/8″ NPT 90-degree
nipple of the appropriate size to connect to your PCV system. Connect the
proper PCV hose to the PCV fitting. Fig. 4
Step 5 , With Oil Fill Tube: The oil fill cap serves as a breather, and a
PCV valve is not required. Install the oil fill cap by pushing it down into
the top of the oil fill tube. Fig. 5
Step 6: Re-install your intake manifold.
