Getting started

Welcome to your Zettle Reader 2.
Let’s get you set up in three simple steps!

  • Download our app
    PayPal Zettle: Point of Sale is available to download on the App Store and Google Play.

  • Create or log in to your PayPal Zettle account
    You can create an account in the app or at paypal.com/instore. We transfer the money you earn straight into your PayPal account

  • Connect your Reader
    Simply select your reader from the list in your settings menu and then pair both devices instantly.

Connecting the Reader

  1. Sign in to the PayPal Zettle app and tap the menu button ****in the top left corner.

  2. Select ‘Settings’ and then ‘ Card Readers ’.

  3. Select the Zettle Reader 2 from the list and then follow our on-screen instructions.

When the reader is not being charged and not being used, it will automatically turn off to save battery and turn on again when you take a transaction or press power.

Internet connection
Remember that you need to be connected to a 3G, 4G, or WiFi network in order to accept payments with PayPal Zettle.
