WARNINGS
It is essential that you read these instructions carefully and comply with the following recommendations:
- For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental directives, etc.)
- This appliance is designed for domestic use only. It should not be used for industrial applications.
- The warranty will be invalidated if damage occurs due to incorrect use.
- Do not place the appliance beneath electrical wall socket.
- Do not use your appliance in a dusty room or a room where there is a risk of fire.
- Before use, always check the condition of the appliance, the plug and the power cord.
- Never insert objects into the appliance (e.g.: needles, etc.)
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the after-sales service or a person with similar qualifications to avoid any danger.
- When is use, this appliance must be kept out of the reach of young children, animals and certain disabled people.
- Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance, even to unplug it from the wall socket.
- Fully unwind the cord each time before use.
VERY IMPORTANT
- WARNING: To avoid any risk of overheating, NEVER COVER THE APPLIANCE:
- Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
- Never allow water to penetrate into the appliance.
- Do not use this appliance near a bath, shower, sink or swimming pool.
- Do not use the appliance close to flammable objects or products (curtains, aerosols, solvents, etc.)
- Never use the appliance in an inclined or horizontal position.
- Your appliance does not have a disengaging system. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORCE OSCILLATION MANUALLY.
- In the event of a long absence, stop the appliance using the F button and unplug it.
VOLTAGE
Before using for the first time, make sure that the voltage being used
corresponds to that indicated on the appliance and that the electrical
installation is correct for the power rating indicated on the appliance. Your
appliance can be used with a power plug without an earth connection.
It is a class II appliance (double insulation).
SAFETY
- In the event of abnormal overheating, safety devices automatically shut down the appliance and then restart it automatically once it has cooled down. If the fault per-sists or gets worse, a thermal fuse shuts the appliance down completely: it must then be taken to an approved service centre.
- If the unit tips over, a safety device automatically turns it off. Place the appliance back in an upright position and it will begin to operate again.
In both cases, the appliance will emit a warning beep and the “Signal Protect” indicator (E) will light up.
DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLS
ON / OFF switch:
Your appliance is equipped with an ON / OFF switch (F) located at the base of
the appliance. Control panel:
The control panel (A) located on the top of the appliance has 7 buttons:
- Button: Stand by / Start.
- Button: Choice of 4 operating modes:
- This operating mode allows you to set the desired temperature for the room. The appliance will automatically set the operating power according to the tempe-rature of your room and the temperature you have set. A temperature of 21°C is the default setting.
- Cold ventilation, allows you to use your appliance as an extra cooling fan in summer.
- Operation at a power rating of 1000W, automatically set so as not to exceed 19°C in the room.
- Operation at a power rating of 2000W not set (a safety device will limit the temperature of the room to 35°C).
button: Function which allows the appliance to be set to operate for a given length of time. Setting range from 1 to 15 hours. button: Function which allows the appliance to be started at a programmed time. Setting range from 1 to 15 hours. function can be associated to the function. + and – buttons: 2 buttons for setting the mode temperature and for setting the
button: Function which allows the appliance to oscillate in order to optimise the diffusion of hot or cold air in the room.
Remote control:
- Your appliance is equipped with a remote control (J) on which you can find the buttons
- This remote control is also equipped with a safety button (J1. fig. 4), which allows unwanted commands to be avoided: it must be pressed in when the other command buttons are operated.
- The information is transmitted to your appliance by infra red by means of an emitter diode at the front of the remote control. The infrared receiver is located next to the display screen on the appliance.
- Do not scratch the emitter diode, or the infra red receiver of the appliance.
- When using the remote control, point the emitter diode towards the infra red receiver of the appliance and press the desired buttons (see § OPERATION).
- Ensure that there are no obstacles between the emitter diode and the receiver.
- The maximum range is approximately 6 metres from the appliance.
- Remote control power supply:
- The remote control operates with 2 1.5V AAA or LR03 type alkaline batteries, not provided.
- Place the batteries in the compartment respecting the polarities indicated in the compartment.
Display screen:
- Your appliance is equipped with a display screen (C) on which you can find the following information:
- C1- Display of the operating mode selected
- C2- Temperatures (in °C):
- When SELECT flashes (in AUTO mode), the temperature displayed is the temperature you have programmed.. When “HOME” is visible, the temperature displayed is the temperature of the room where the appliance is located.
- C3- TIMER function, with the number of hours programmed
- C4- PROG, function with the number of hours programmed
OPERATION
Before switching on your appliance ensure that:
- The appliance is positioned as described in the instructions
- The air intake and outlet grills are completely unobstructed
- The appliance is upright and in a stable position
A/ ON / OFF:
To switch on your appliance:
- First press the ON / OFF switch (F) located at the base of the appliance.
- Your appliance is switched on (in the stand by position), the indicator “B” is lit.
To switch off your appliance:
WARNING: When the appliance is switched off in the heating MODE (AUTO, ECO,
2000W), the ventilation is stopped 30 seconds later in order to evacuate the
heat accumulated in the heating element.
- Press the button on the control panel or the remote control.
- Your appliance is still powered (in the stand by position), the indicator “B” is still lit.
- To switch the appliance off completely, press the ON / OFF button (F) located at the base of the appliance.
- Your appliance stops, the indicator “B” goes out.
- B/ THE OPERATING MODES:
- Press the button to select the operating mode.
- On the control panel: The operating mode indicator selected is lit up.
- MODE:
- Press the or buttons on the control panel or the remote control to set the desired temperature.
- (between the Frost Free position: 7°C and 35°C); this temperature depends on your preferences.
- There is no need to press any other buttons to confirm, this is done automatically.
- You can see on the display screen:
- The operating mode as well as the temperature that you have set below the flashing message.
- After a few seconds disappears, you can then read the room temperature in the symbol.
- To view the temperature you have set, simply press the or buttons.
- Note: If the temperature you have set is lower than the room temperature (measured by the appliance) then the appliance will automatically stop. The message on the display screen then flashes. The appliance will start heating again automatically as soon as the room temperature drops below the temperature set.
- MODE:
- The appliance operates in cold ventilation.
- You cannot set the temperature in this operating mode.
- You can see on the display screen:
- The ” ” operating mode and the room temperature.
- MODE:
- The appliance operates at a power rating of 1000W and automatically regulates itself so as to avoid exceeding 19°C in the room.
- You cannot set the temperature in this operating mode.
- You can see on the display screen:
- The ” ” operating mode and the room temperature.
- MODE:
- The appliance operates at a power rating of (unregulated).
- You cannot set the temperature in this operating mode
- You can see on the display screen:

- C/ ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

- TIMER: SETTING THE LENGTH OF OPERATION PROG: SETTING A TIMED START The programming steps are as follows:
Select the Operating mode.
- Press the or button on the control panel for 2 seconds.
- On the control panel:
- The or function indicator flashes.
- The MODE indicator you have selected lights up.
- You can see on the display screen:
- The operating mode you have selected.
- The or symbol flashing.
- Note: If you do not define a time, the function will be cancelled after a few seconds.
- To define the operation time (for ) or the time of the later start (for ), press the or buttons on the control panel (from 1 to 15 hours).
- You can see on the display screen:
- The operating mode you have selected.
- The or symbol flashing with the times selected.
- For : to confirm the setting, press the button or wait for automatic confirmation.
- For : to confirm the setting,
- press the button
- or press the button (2 seconds) to add an operation time, then press the button.
- On the control panel:
- only the or (and) function indicator is lit up.
- You can see on the display screen:
- The operating mode you have selected and the or (and) symbol with the number of hours chosen.
- Note: For , if the button is not pressed to confirm, the function will be cancelled after a few seconds.
- TIMER Function:
- The appliance operates in the MODE you have chosen and for the length of time defined in ; it will automatically switch to stand by after this operating time.
- It is possible at all times:
- To stop the appliance (by pressing ).
- To change the operating mode.
- PROG Function:
- The appliance will be started later at the number of hours you have defined in . The appliance will then operate in the MODE you have selected (and for the lengthN BMof time defined in , if this function has been programmed).
- It is possible at all times:
- To start the appliance or stop your programme. (by pressing ).
- Display on screen:
- The times displayed on the screen are:
- For the function: the number of hours remaining before the appliance will start.
- For the function: the number of hours of operation remaining.
- The countdown on the display is in steps of one hour, at the end of the hour that has passed.
- Oscillation Function:
- / Press the button on the control panel or the remote control.
- The appliance oscillates angularly through 90°.
- On the control panel:
- The oscillation function indicator lights up.
- / Press the button on the control panel or the remote control again.
- The appliance will stop oscillating.
CLEANING
- Your appliance must be switched off using the ON / OFF switch located at the base, unplugged and allowed to cool before any cleaning is carried out.
- You can clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Important: Never use abrasive products which might damage the appearance.
- Your appliance is fitted with a removable and washable dust filter (fig. 1+ 6 – H) (warm water and soap) which has to be cleaned regularly (fig. 5a+5b).
- Always ensure that the filter is dry before fitting it.
- Never use the appliance without its filter.
STORAGE
- It is important that the appliance be allowed to cool down before it is put away.
- When you are not using the appliance, store it in a dry place.
- If it is to be stored for a long period, remove the batteries from the remote control.
IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS
- Never dismantle your appliance yourself. A poorly repaired appliance may be dangerous for the user.
- Before contacting one of Approved Service Centres (see below), ensure that:
- the appliance is set to normal operating mode;
- the air inlet and outlet grills are totally clear.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Your appliance contains many materials that can be reused or recycled. Take it to a civic collection point or, if there is none near you, to an authorized service centre for appropriate disposal. This appliance uses a battery. To protect the environment, do not throw away dead batteries, instead, take them to a battery collection point. Do not dispose of with household waste.
