IMPORTANT ADVICE:
Before use, be sure to recharge your appliance. This appliance does not work
on the mains.
To avoid deterioration to the batteries:
- Never exceed 20 hours of charging.
- Before using for the first time, charge the appliance using the adapter for 14 hours.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regulations (LowVoltageDirective, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental…).
- Check that the voltage of your electricity supply matches the voltage of your appliance. Any error when connecting the appliance can cause irreparable harm, not covered by the guarantee.
- The installation of the appliance and its use must however comply with the standards in force in your country.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The appliance must be unplugged, before cleaning andmaintenance procedures, if it is not working correctly, as soon as you have finished using it.
- Stop using your appliance and contact an Authorised Service Centre if:
- your appliance has fallen.
- it does not work correctly.
- Do not unplug by pulling on the cord, rather pull out by the plug.
- Do not use an electrical extension lead.
- Do not clean with abrasive or corrosive products.
- Do not use at temperatures below 0°C and above 35°C.
- WARNING: The hand-held parts must be disconnected before cleaning under water. Suitable for use in the shower.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Use in standalone mode:
- The appliance works with its batteries.
- The recommended charging time is 8 hours. When the battery recharge light is red, your appliance is charging.
- After unplugging the transformer, the appliance will work continuously for approximately 40 minutes.
TRIMMING GUIDES
Your trimmer is equipped with trimming guides for the trimmed length you
prefer:
– head hair / short body hair: comb 3 – 12 mm
– head hair / long body hair: comb 16 – 25 mm.
– Precision comb 1.5 – 2 – 2.5 mm
The comb is clipped into place as shown in figure 1. Hold the comb in the palm
of your hand.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
- The clippers require very little maintenance. You can clean them with a damp cloth.
- Cleaning the cutting head:
- Place the ON/OFF switch in the stop position (0).
- Remove the cutting guide.
- Remove any hairs with the brush.
- Washing the cutting head:
- Place ON/OFF switch in the stop position (0).
- Remove the cutting guide.
- Take the cutting head off by tilting it slightly backwards.
- You can then place the cutting head under cold runningwater for 5 to 10 seconds.
- Shake the
- Warning, the cutting head must be clipped correctly onto the appliance when it is fitted.
LUBRICATION
To ensure your clipper efficiency and durability, it is essential that the cutting blades be lubricated before each use with the lubricant supplied or, failing this, with sewing machine oil.
- Before lubrication, unplug the appliance and remove any hairs that are stuck between the cutting blades of the clippers using the small brush.
- Lubricate the blades where indicated: one drop per location is enough.
- Operate the clipper for a few seconds.
- Clean the excess oil with a rag.
INTHE EVENT OF A PROBLEM
“Your clippers do not cut well”
- Move the clippers slowly through the hair.
- Add a drop of oil (for sewing machines) on the blades.
“Your clippers are not working”
- Are your clippers fully charged? You need to charge them for eight hours.
- Your clippers do not work when connected to the mains; they only work with the batteries.
“You are finding it difficult to position your combs”
- The comb is clipped into place as shown in figure 1.
- Place the blade against the comb handle then press on the comb until you hear a click.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FIRST
- Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
- Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
- The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped. To remove the batteries, undo the screws, remove the casing, take out the batteries and cut the wires. The appliance must be disconnected from the supply
- mains when removing the battery.
- The battery must be disposed of safely
