PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE AND KEEP THEM IN A SAFE PLACE You have just bought an oil filled radiator which is ideal for heating rooms quickly. Thanks to its compact design it is easy to store and move from one room to another.

WARNINGS

It is essential that you read these instructions carefully and comply with the following recommendations:

  • For your safety, this appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental directives, etc.)
  • Before use, always check the condition of the appliance, the plug, and the power cord.
  • Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance itself to unplug it from the wall socket.
  • Fully unwind the cord each time before use.
  • Do not place the appliance directly beneath a power socket.
  • Never insert objects into the appliance (e.g. needles, etc.).
  • This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are supervised or have been given instructions beforehand concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not use your appliance in a dusty room or a room where there is a risk of fire.
  • This appliance is designed for domestic use only. It should not be used for industrial applications.
  • The warranty will be invalidated if damage occurs due to incorrect use.
  • If the power lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the after-sales service or a similarly qualified person, for your safety.
  • Additional precautions: the radiator is filled with a special type of oil, the amount being determined by its size. Any repairs requiring the body of the radiator to be opened must therefore be carried out by the manufacturer or the official after-sales service. (This also applies in cases where oil has leaked from the radiator.)
  • Regulations concerning the elimination of oil when heating appliances are disposed of must be respected.
  • The installation and use of the appliance must always comply with the regulations in force in the country in which it is used.

VERY IMPORTANT

  • Avoid covering the radiator to prevent it from overheating.
  • Keep the radiator at least 50 cm away from walls, curtains, sprays, etc.
  • NEVER USE THE RADIATOR ON ITS SIDE OR LEANING TO ONE SIDE.
  • The appliance must not be used in a damp area.
  • Do not use this appliance near a bath, shower, sink or swimming pool.
  • NEVER ALLOW WATER TO ENTER THE APPLIANCE.
  • DO NOT TOUCH THE APPLIANCE WITH WET HANDS.
  • In the event of prolonged absence: turn off the appliance by pressing the Stop/Start button (H) and unplug the appliance.

VOLTAGE

  • Before using the appliance for the first time, make sure that the voltage being used corresponds to that indicated on the appliance.
  • Your appliance must be used with a power plug with an earth connection. It is a Class 1 appliance.

SAFETY

  • In the event of abnormal overheating, a safety device automatically shuts down the appliance and then restarts it automatically once it has cooled down. If the fault persists or becomes more serious, a thermal fuse will shut down the appliance altogether and it must then be taken to an authorized service center.
  • If the unit tips over, a safety device automatically turns it off. Place the appliance in an upright position and it will begin to operate again.

 ATTACHING THE WHEELS

– Place the appliance upside down.
– Position the 2 wheel supports as shown in the diagram below.

– Secure them with the two butterfly nuts.
– Turn the radiator to an upright position and place it on the wheels.

 OPERATION

Before switching on your appliance ensure that:
– The wheels have been correctly fitted as described in these instructions.
– The air intake and outlet grills are completely unobstructed
– The appliance is in a stable position on a flat surface.

A – Switching on
Plug the appliance in and press the On/Off switch (H). On the LCD display (J) you will see the power rating (2000W) and the temperature setting (23° by default). After a few seconds, the temperature will stop flashing and the temperature set will be displayed.  The radiator will operate at 2000W until a temperature of 23° is reached. It will then keep the room at this temperature.
Note: The blue backlighting of the display screen turns off after 30 seconds but the functions selected are still visible on the screen.
To light up the LCD screen press the + or – buttons. Please note that when you turn the appliance on you may hear a slight noise. You can continue to use it and the noise will soon cease.

B – Operating modes
B1 – Manual
You must set the power and temperature desired.
The radiator will then regulate the room temperature according to your setting.
Selecting the power : Press the Mode button (L)
Selecting the temperature :
Press the + or – buttons (G) to increase or reduce the temperature. The range available is from 5° to 35°. The temperature you have chosen will be displayed on the screen and set after a few seconds.
B2 – Auto Comfort Mode
If you press the Auto Comfort button (N), your radiator will operate at full power (2000W) until the room reaches 21°. It will then keep the room at this temperature. This function is programmed for a 3-hour period by default but you may increase or reduce the time by pressing the + or – buttons (G) while the time is flashing.
(The period selected will be set automatically after a few seconds.) The timer will count down the period of operation. You can interrupt the AUTO COMFORT option at any time by pressing the button (N) again or change the function by pressing the Mode button (L). The Auto Comfort function will then be disabled (indicator light off).
C – Additional functions
Timer and programmed start time
When you have selected the power and set the temperature, press the Clock button (M) to select TIMER or PROG (programmed start time).
While the Timer or Prog icons are flashing you can change the number of hours of operation using the + and – buttons (G). The time set is in hours and counts down at the end of each hour.
TIMER Function
This option allows you to program the operation of your appliance for a period of 1 to 24 hours. At the end of this period, it will turn off automatically and go to STANDBY mode.
To change to a different mode of operation press the Mode button.
To turn the appliance off completely press the On/Off button (H).
Programmed operation
This option allows you to program the time at which your appliance is turned on (1 to 24 hours later). When the programmed operation begins the appliance will regulate the room temperature according to your settings. It will continue to operate until you change the function manually by pressing the Mode button (L) or turn the appliance off by pressing the On/Off button (H).
Note: The AUTO COMFORT option is not available if you program the start time.

CLEANING

  • Your appliance must be unplugged before cleaning.
  • You can clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
  • IMPORTANT: Never use abrasive products which might damage the appearance of the appliance.

STORAGE

  • Your appliance is fitted with a power lead compartment, located below the controls.
  • It is essential that the appliance be allowed to cool down before the power lead is stored in this compartment.
  • When you are not using the appliance, store it in a dry place.

IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS

  • Never dismantle your appliance yourself. A poorly repaired appliance may be dangerous for the user.
  • Before contacting one of our authorized service centers check that the appliance is in the correct operating position.

 PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT!

Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Take it to a local civic waste collection point or an approved service center.
