damage from unsafe or incorrect operation of the appliance.The guidelines are
separated into ‘WARNING’ and ‘CAUTION’ as described below

If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or potential sources of ignition and air the room in which the appliance is standing for several minutes. In order to avoid the creation of a flammable gas-air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating circuit occurs, the size of the room in which the appliance is used should correspond to the amount of refrigerant used. The room must be 1m* in size for every 8g of R600a refrigerant inside the appliance.

Do not modify the Power Cord length.Do not use any extension board & multiple socket outlet. |Also, Do not share the same power socket outlet with other appliances.

In Order to prevent possible electric shock, the Customer must ensure proper earthing in 3-pin power socket outlet. If you have doubts on whether the appliance us properly earthed or the grounding instructions are not completely understood. consult an authorized service center.
- In the event of an electric short circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. Improper use of the earthing plug can result in an electric shock

Child Entrapment Warning:- An empty refrigerator can be a dangerous attraction to children. Remove gaskets, latches lids or the entire door from your unused appliance, or take some other action to make it harmless.

Do not keep any hot or flame-related items lit candles or put stabilizers on the top or inside of the refrigerator It may cause fire, injury or damage.

Do not use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator or keep them on top/ inside the refrigerator such as TV, Cooler, Temple,
Decoration Lighting, Harmful Chemicals, Cloth Top etc -
Do not place the heavy objects ( More than 5Kg) Container with liquid on the top of the refrigerator.

Never store chemicals inside the Refrigerator.

Do not place glass containers, bottles or cans (especially those containing carbonated drinks) in the freezer compartment, shelves or ice bin that will be exposed to temperatures below freezing
- It may cause an explosion due to expansion when the contents are frozen

Do not touch the appliance & electrical wirings power socket outlet with wet hands or in a damp environment.

Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

Keep hands away from the hinge during opening and closing the door, may get injured.

Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications
such as

staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

catering and similar non-retail applications.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

If the appliance is equipped with a lock (some models only), keep the key out of reach of children

Never store chemicals and explosives near the refrigerator, such as gas cylinders etc

Do not touch the Backside of the Refrigerator. It may become hot during normal operation.
Cleaning -
When cleaning the inside or outside of the appliance, do not wipe it with a rough brush, toothpaste, or flammable materials. Do not use cleaning agents containing flammable substances.

This may cause discoloration or damage to the appliance.

Flammable substances: alcohol (ethanol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol, isobutyl alcohol, etc.), thinner, bleach, benzene, flammable liquid, abrasive, etc.
During Vacations -
During average-length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the refrigerator in operation. Place freezable items in the freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away for an extended period, remove al food, disconnect the power cord, clean the interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odor formation. To operate again, let the refrigerator run for 6-8 hrs. for stabilization.
Shifting -
While shifting the refrigerator, two people should carry it for its safety. Fasten the door with tape or a lock to prevent the opening of the refrigerator. IEY

Installation
The refrigerator should be located properly in a ventilated area. Levelling of the refrigerator should be done with front legs. The refrigerator should be leveled with a front-to-back inclination for the base.
- In the case of the Base stand model leveling of the refrigerator should be done with the front leg of the Base Stand
- In selected models only.
- After installing the appliance, connect the power plug into a socket outlet. Before moving and discarding the appliance, disconnect the plug from the socket outlet.
Dimensions and Clearances
Too small of a distance from adjacent items may result in degradation of
freezing capability and increased
electricity costs. Allow Over 50mm clearance from each adjacent wall when
installing the appliance.

Ambient Temperature

The appliance is designed to operate within a limited range of ambient temperatures, depending on the climate zone. Do not use the appliance at a temperature exceeding the limit.
The internal temperatures could be affected by the location of the appliance, the ambient temperature, the frequency of door opening and so on. -

Identification of Control
- 3-pin power socket outlet with proper earthing must be used for electrical connections.
- A specially designed knob gives you facility to control the temperature inside refrigerator.
- Before loading, let the refrigerator run for 12 hrs. in No. 4 position.

Suggestions for better cooling & cooling retention
- Before loading let the refrigerator run for 12 hours. Set the thermostat at 4.
- The refrigerator needs to run minimum 8 hours continuously to freeze the EverCool case to provide maximum coolina retention
- temperature Setfing as per shown picture.
Operating Procedure
DEFROSTING: It is natural for moisture in their air to condense on the cold surface. This leads to a regular build-up of frost on the surface of the freezer. Defrost regularly to avoid heavy frost building on the evaporator which results in reduced cooling efficiency. Remove accumulated Defrost water from tray drip by a soaking object such as a sponge
- Push the defrost Knob after every 3 days/ Ice Level reaches defrost indicator.
- Do not use a sharp tool to remove ice tray, otherwise, you may puncture the evaporator/Freezer resulting gas leakage thus nonperformance of the refrigerator.
- ICE MAKING
Fill ice trays with water, and place in a freeze Box. To remove ice cube, gently twist the Tray.
Lamp Replacement
NOTE
-
Not all appliance bulbs will fit your refrigerator. Be sure to replace the bulb with one of the same size, shape and wattage. Refer Lamp enclosure for wattage

Unplug the power cord from the outlet.

Remove the lamp cover by pulling outside
-
Make sure the bulbs are cool to touch.
-
Care should be taken while removing/ fixing lamp as the glass may crack/break &
CAUTION -
Remove the lamp by turning it counterclockwise.
-
Put new lamp and tighten it by turning it clockwise.
-
Make sure the bulb is properly tightened.
-
Put the cover lamp back and push it gently with your thumb till a click sound appears.
How to get good results
- When storing the food, cover it with vinyl wrap or store in a container with a lid. this prevents moisture from evaporating and helps food to keep it taste and nutrients.
- Don’t keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator
- This will result in an increased temperature and an increase in power consumption.
- Do not leave the refrigerator open for a long time. Don’t open the refrigerator door too often, hot air will enter and increase the temperature.
- Never overload your refrigerator or cover the shelves with paper or plastic sheets as it will reduce its efficiency.
- Close the door properly, and make sure that there is no gap between the gasket and the cabinet of your LG refrigerator.
- Wipe excessive moisture on food or place it inside containers or plastic net bags. This will help in retaining its freshness for a longer period of time.

- It is recommended to use a Voltage Stabilizer (0.5kVA) if power fluctuations are frequent and out of the specified voltage range (135-290V)
- Stabilizer usage helps in increasing the refrigerator life.
- For inverter models specified voltage range is 90V-310V**
- If there are chill compartments in the appliance, do not store vegetables and fruits with higher moisture content in the chill compartments as they may freeze due to the lower temperature.
- In the event of a blackout, call the electricity company and ask how long it is going to last.
- Avoid door opening while power off. It may affect the food inside.
- Check the condition of food before consuming
- If you are leaving the appliance turned off for an extended (more than or equal to 3 days) period of time, remove all food and unplug the power cord. Clean the interior, and leave the doors slightly ajar to prevent mold from growing in the appliance.
Disposal of your old appliance (as per e-waste Rules)

When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is depicted on the product and its operator’s manual, It means the product is covered by the e-waste Management and Handling Rules, 2011 and are meant to be recycled, dismantled, refurbished or disposed off.

Keep the product in an isolated area, after it becomes non- functional| or unrepairable so as to prevent its accidental breakage.

Hazards of improper handling or accidental breakage
- The refrigerant ( R134a) used, if overexposed, might cause dizziness and loss of concentration. Liquid contact can cause irritation and frostbite. The refrigerant( R600a), squirting out of the pipes cOuld ignite or cause eye injury.
- The blowing agent cyclopentane is a highly flammable liquid and vapor. Harmful to aquatic life. Contact with liquid may cause cold burns frost bites. Repeated exposure causes skin dryness.

WARRANTY CARD
The LG Refrigerator (hereinafter referred as product) comes with 1-year warranty on all Parts (except Consumables, Bulb, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass) in the first year from the date of purchase on producing the tax paid invoice provided always that the warranty card bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of our Authorized Dealer showing the Additional warranty on the compressor as specified below shall be on fulfilling the above mentioned conditions.
9YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR
The 9 year warranty on Compressor will continue even after the expiry of 1
year period from the date of purchase. This warranty covers the Compressor
only. Gas/ Gas charging will be charged to the customer. Gas charging is
included only when the compressor is defective & inoperative. During the
additional warranty period, it does not cover any part Such as PCB assembly,
condenser, freezer, capillary,
suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting
charges will be applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG
Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) has its Authorized Service centre, Service
outside municipal limit will attract to and fro travailing, other incidental
expenses in addition to visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time.
During the warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free
of cost, but service charges shall always be payable by the customer.
Common TERMS & cONDITIONs applicable for warranties as mentioned above:

Ihe warranty Is Continued to the first purchaser of the Refrigerator only & Is non-transferable.

Repairs & replacements will be carried out through the Authorized Service Centres of LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred as LG or LGEL). Customer may place their service call through LG customer care or through the dealer from whom the product has been purchased. In case the customer shifts the place of residence during the warranty period, it is advised to contact our helpline.

Repair under warranty shall be carried out by authorized service personnel only. I the details of centralized helplines are attached.

For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company’s Authorized Service Centre, itis the responsibility of the purchaser to
contact the nearest authorized service center and bring the unit to the authorized service at its own cost and risk. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company’s authorized service center, as well as expenses incurred with deputing of service personnel/technician toward conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer. Local Charges for transportation and handling charges may vary from location to location. Customers are advised to verify before. In case the customer desires to bring the unit on its own to the Authorized Service Centre, the same shall be at its own risks & consequences. -
The concerned authorized service center will advise the customer whether to effect the repairs at site or at the authorized service center.

Call registered with the centralized helpline/Authorized service center, wherein only cleaning of the unit/parts in the unit due to dust accumulation on potions of the units are not to be considered as defects.

In case of repairs or replacement of any parts of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. LGEIL may use parts that are new or refurbished and equivalent to new in performance and reliability. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of LGEIL alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of LGEIL), the same model shall be replaced and in the event, such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model price equivalent at the time of purchase.

In case of any damage to the product/customer abuse/repairs by unauthorized personnel/ misuse detected/ by the Authorized Service Centre personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.

This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect being noticed in the equipment during the warranty period Refrigerator. The company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty period.

The company or its Authorized Service Centre reserves the right to retain any part/s or component replaced its discretion, in the event of a defect being noticed in the equipment during the warranty period.

While the company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under no obligation to do so in a specified period of time.
-
In the event of any unforeseen circumstance, and spares not being available, the company’s prevailing depreciation rules will be binding on the purchaser to accept a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.

If any colored internal or external components are replaced, there will be a commitment to ensure that the shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, tints may vary from the customer’s unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at the customer’s request will be chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.

Free Installation or Demo of the product, can be availed only once & within 3 months from the date of purchase.

Any extended warranty offered by LGEILhas to be supported by relevant proof.

The warranty shall expire after the warranty period as mentioned above even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason.

Only courts in state of Delhi and places where LGEIL has its branch office shall have the jurisdiction for setting any claims, or disputes arising under the warranty.

Warranty is not applicable in any of the following cases where:
the warranty card is not completed properly at the time of purchase, b) the completed warranty card is not presented to the authorized service personnel at the time of servIce of the product, c) the product is not operated according to instructions given in the Operating Instruction BookletOwners Manual, d) the product is used for commercial purposes, e) the product has failed under certain conditions like water logging, flood, fire, misuse etc., f) defects/malfunction are caused by improper or reckless use, which shall be determined by the company personnel, g) any repair work is carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel, h) detect/malfunction is caused which are beyond control like ligntening, abnormal voltage, Acts of God, virus etc., 1) any issue is caused by the usage of 3rd party product like voltage stabilizer, power outlet socket, MCB, extension board etc., J) defects/malfunction caused while in transit to a service center or purchaser’s residence, k) defects caused by rodents bite or by pests and vermin ants/Insects/animals/birds etc., 1) the serial number is deleted, defected or altered, m) damage is caused to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting, n) use of a knife or sharp instrument is used to remove the ice trays or lce from the freezer or to remove the frost mechanically and as a result Compressor, Evaporator, Condensers, capillary, Suction line & other related items get spoiled, o) any accessories external to the equipment are supplied by dealer or LG, P)any isSue of Wi-Fi connectivity or compatibility with other products or software s is there 9) any loss of data
