SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
Risk of burns! The surface of the appliance becomes very hot during use and
remains hot for a long time even after cooking. Do not touch it. Use only the
control switch.
- Read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference.
- Before use, check the voltage indicated on the nameplate. Only connect the appliance to sockets that correspond to the voltage of the appliance.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
- Children over the age of 8 and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or those with a lack of experience and knowledge may only use the appliance if they are instructed on how to do so by a person responsible for their safety, or if they are supervised and understand the hazards associated with the use of the appliance.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Do not touch the power plug and power cord with wet hands.
- Check the power cord to avoid any damage regularly. Do not use the appliance if the power cord or the appliance shows any signs of damage.
- Do not immerse the appliance into water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it in the dishwasher.
- Do not use the appliance near hot surfaces.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the appliance by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
- Put the appliance on a flat surface when using.
- Do not use the appliance to heat the room.
- During operation, the temperature on the glass is very high. Do not touch or move the appliance. During or shortly after use, the glass is very hot. Under no circumstances should the power cord or other objects that are not heat-resistant come near or touch the hot surface
- Keep the appliance away from flammable materials such as oil, curtains, cloths, etc. during use and while it is hot, otherwise fire may result.
- Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, especially since it is not equipped with an on/off switch.
- Never operate the appliance without a pot or with an empty pot!
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
- Take care when plugging in an electric appliance near the hob. Connection leads must not come into contact with the hot surface.
- Do not clean the appliance unless it is cooled down and make sure the power cord does not touch the glass when hot.
- Dot use any caustic, abrasive cleaners! The surface could be damaged.
- The appliance is not intended for commercial use, but only for households and similar environments. This includes kitchens in offices, farms, hotels, motels, and facilities offering Bed & Breakfast.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
- The appliance has been developed for heating by means of infrared rays. There is no danger from radiation and any high-temperature resistant cookware with a flat base can be used for cooking.
- The hotplate has an adjustable thermostat and is suitable for various cooking methods, such as boiling, steaming, frying, etc.
- The cooking surface of the appliance consists of a hardened crystal glass plate, which is easy to clean without leaving residues.
- The hotplate has automatic temperature control, which prevents food from burning and preserves the taste of food.
- Easy operation of the appliance: the desired cooking temperature can be set by turning the temperature control knob.

Make sure that the control switch is in the “0” position. Insert the plug of the appliance into the socket.

Any high-temperature resistant cookware with a flat bottom can be used on the appliance.

Put the food to be cooked in the pot and place the pot in the middle of the hotplate.
Note: The better the pot, the better the cooking result. The bottom of the pot should be as flat as possible. -

After use, turn the heating select switch to the „0“ position and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.

If the appliance is still hot after it has been switched off, it is advisable to use the residual heat to warm up (or keep warm) food. In this case, pull the mains plug out of the socket when the appliance has cooled down.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Note: Follow these instructions, otherwise the warranty will not cover any damage that may occur. Clean the hob when the appliance has cooled down.
- Unplug before cleaning the appliance.
- Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a damp cloth and a little neutral cooktop cleaner, then wipe dry with a clean cloth. Remnants of cleaner must not be left on the surface. Please do not use coarse scourers or abrasive pan cleaners.
- Do not wash with water directly and please do not immerse into the water for cleaning.
- Make sure that the bottom of the pot is clean so that the ceramic hob does not get dirty.
