technology.
It works by electromagnetic vibrations generating heat directly in the pan,
rather than indirectly through heating the glass surface. The glass becomes
hot only because the pan eventually warms it up.

COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION
Notes on using the induction hob and ceramic radiant hob
- Do not place food directly onto the hob surface – always cook with a pot.
- Do not arbitrarily leave oil or oiled foods on the hob surface, since oil could be overheated and produce fire. If the fire is caused by oil, do not put off the fire by pouring water onto it. Place a lid to cover the fire and switch off the power.
- The hob surface may be damaged by the dropping of hard and sharp objects. Keep hard and sharp objects in proper places.
- Never put hot cookware on top of the control panel.
- Examine the bottom of the pot before using. The bottom of the pot should not be rough or else scratch the hob surface.
Touch controls
- The controls respond to touch, so you don‘t need to apply any pressure.
- Use the ball of your finger, not its tip.
- You will hear a beep each time a touch is registered.
- Make sure the controls are always clean, and dry, and that there is no object (e.g. a utensil or a cloth) covering them. Even a thin film of water may make the controls difficult to operate.
Switch on an induction hob
Note: Before using the induction and ceramic radiant hob, put cookware made of ferromagnetic metal onto the hob surface or any flat bottom cookware on the radiant hob.
Touch the On/Off button , a beeping sound will be heard. The cooking zone display (5) shows the following:

To switch off the selected cooking zone, move the slider to the left with your finger until the cooking zone display (5) shows “-”.
Set temperature
Touch the temperature button to enter temperature heating mode. The
temperature control lamp and the selected induction cooking zone control lamp
above the cooking zone display (5) are flashing. (The radiant hob can’t be
selected in the temperature mode.)
Set a temperature between 60 °C and 240 °C with the touch slider.
You can slide to the left side until the selected cooking zone is switched off.

CAUTION
Risk of burns! The accessible surfaces of the appliance can become very hot
during operation.
PROTECTION FUNCTIONS
Over-temperature protection
The appliance is equipped with a temperature sensor device to monitor the
temperature inside the hobs. When an excessive temperature is detected, both
the Induction Hob
and the Hi-Light Ceramic Hob will stop increasing temperature automatically.
Detection of small articles (Induction Hob)
When the Induction Hob detected the existence of a pot that is less than 80 mm
in diameter or small articles (e.g. knife, fork, forceps, key, etc.) or non-
magnetic pots (such
as aluminum or bronze pot), the buzzer can give out an alarm lasting about 1
minute.
In case user has not put the proper pot in time, the Induction Hob shall
automatically switch to standby mode.
Residual heat after use
When the hob is used for a long period of time, heat remains in the heating
zone for a few minutes.
Auto shutdown protection
Auto shutdown is a safety protection function of the appliance. If not turned
off after 120 minutes, it will shut down automatically.
When the pot is removed, the induction hob shall stop heating immediately and shut down after 1 minute of buzzer sound.
