LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY LTV-BBQ1 BBQ Thermometer Instruction Manual
POWER UP
- Insert 2-AAA batteries into your BBQ Thermometer.
- Hold the POWER button to turn on or off.
- Adjust time and temperature settings.

BBQ Thermometer

Cable Cartridge
Cable Cartridge will slide over the front of the thermometer to protect
the screen during storage.
The Cable Cartridges will “stack” together.
SETTINGS
- Hold the SET button to enter the Settings Menu.
- Use the PLUS (+) button to adjust, and the SET button to confirm and move to the next setting.
Settings Menu order:
- Hour
- Minutes
- Fahrenheit/Celsius
USE TEMPERATURE PROBE
- Unwind one or both Temperature Probe cords from the Cable Cartridge, and connect it into either the A or B jack on the side of the thermometer. Allow a few seconds for data to appear.
- Insert the metal probe into the thickest part of your meat.

With a single probe attached, the Probe Temperature will appear in the bottom section with the Time on top.

If using two Temperature Probes, both readings will show on the display.
Press the PLUS (+) button to switch between Time & top Temperature Probe readings.

When no Temperature Probe is attached, only the Time will show.

Err will display if the Temperature Probe is not inserted fully into the jack, or if it is no longer in working order.
CONNECT TO THE LA CROSSE VIEW™ APP
If you already own a La Crosse View connected display, you can use the La Crosse View app to view your BBQ Thermometer readings, as well as set temperature alerts right on your phone.
- Open your La Crosse View app and select ADD DEVICES from the main menu.
- Scan the bar code or type in the Device ID on the back of your BBQ Thermometer.
- Give the device a Name and Location, and press Save.

TRANSMISSION INDICATOR
The Transmission Indicator relates to the Temperature Probe readings sent to your La Crosse View App.
- A solid indicator tells you your thermometer has power and the Temperature Probe is connected.
- This indicator will flash twice during each transmission
- No indicator will show if the thermometer is not updating to your app, or if your probe is not inserted.
Note: The LTV-BBQ1 thermometer is fully functional without being connected to the La Crosse view app.
BACKLIGHT
Press any button for a 10 second backlight.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
When the Low Battery Indicator is displayed, replace the batteries.

Care & Maintenance:
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Always purchase the correct size and grade of batterymost suitable for intended use.
- Ensure the batteries have with correct polarity (+/-).
- Promptly remove expired batteries.
- Do not mix Alkaline, Lithium, standard, or rechargeable batteries.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
- Remove batteries from equipment that will not to be used for an extended period.
