Installation Instructions
These instructions on wiring and installation ar.e provided as a guideline 😮
assist you. If at any time you are unsure of no to proceed, please consult a
qualified electrician.
Important!
This light fitting must be connected to the supply earth. If your lighting
circuit, does not have earth, ask a qualified electrician to provide an earth
facility. Light fittings should be connected to a 5 amp fused circuit. This
light fitting is suitable for outdoor use only.
Before Starting
Please read through these instructions before commencing work, and keep them
for future reference.
Please Take Extreme Care When Carrying Out These Instructions
Warning! Always switch off the electricity supply at the mains during
installation and maintenance. We recommend that the fuse is withdrawn or the
circuit breaker is switched off whilst work is in progress. Do not just turn
it off at the wall switch. All fittings must be installed in accordance with
current IEE wiring regulations. During use this product gets hot – Always
switch it off and allow to cool before touching.
Installation:
- Remove existing light fitting (if applicable and take note of the wiring positions.
- Remove mounting box (A) from the product by removing dome nuts (C) and washers (D). Pull terminal bloOk off of retaining pegs in the mounting box Carefully pierce a small scene in the rubber gasket in the center of The morning box to allow the cable to pass-through
- Thread the cable through the nose and fix the mounting box to the wall using the screws and plugs supplied (B). Ensure the drain hole is at the base of the mounting box. Take care not to damage any concealed
Wiring: Please note that the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7871) have changed the colors of the cable used for fixed wiring for all new electrical installations.
- Connect household live wire to brown wire on the product (or terminal on terminal block marked L:).
- Connect household neutral wire to blue wire on the product (or terminal on terminal block marked N’).
- Connect household earth wire (Green: yellow) to Earth wire on fitting. or terminal marked
- Check that you have correctly identified the house wires, that the connections are tight, and that no loose strands have been left out of the connection back
- Wrap the terminal block in tape, 2cm on each side of the connections
- Push the terminal bock back onto the retaining pegs inside the mounting box.
- Ensuring the lamp holder is facing downwards fit the product back onto the mounting box and refit washers (D) and dome nuts (C). tighten dome nuts to secure.

To attach the metal and glass shades to the product. place metal shade (F)
over glass shade (H). ensuring rubber seal (G) is fitted onto the glass. Screw
into the collar (E)
Please report that when you remove the glass shape the metal shade will also
become detached (e.g when changing the bulb).
Fitting/Replace the bulb
Bulb type – 60w Maximum GIs E27 (es), or equivalent 11w E27 Energy Saver Bulb.
Do not exceed this wattage as this may cause the product to overheat Always
switch off and allow the product to cool before changing the bulb.
- Unscrew the glass shade and remove it. Remember the meta: shade will also become detached when the glass shade is removed
- Remove the old bulb by turning it anti-clockwise.
- Insert new bulb turn clockwise
- Ensuring the rubber seal is in place, re-fit the metal shade over the glass shade and screw it into the collar.
Care and Use
Do not use abrasive materials and cleaners on these products as this may
damage the finish. Do not clean the units with a pressure washer. Wipe clean
using a soft, damp cloth.
****Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste.
Please recycle where facilities exist. Check with your Local Authority or
retailer for recycling advice.
