POLYTUNE CLIP

Clip-On Tuner with Polyphonic, Strobe, and Chromatic Modes and 108 LED Matrix Display for Ultimate Tuning Performance.

  1. The POWER button turns PolyTune Clip on and off. PolyTune Clip turns off automatically after 5 minutes.

  2. TUNING MODE button cycles through Tuning Modes with each button press. If the button is not pressed for 3 seconds, the display will blink 3 times, and the selected Tuning Mode will be used.

  3. DISPLAY MODE button toggles between Needle and Strobe tuning modes. Press-and-hold for 5 seconds to toggle between Guitar (G) and Bass (B) modes.
(NOTE: Polyphonic tuning is available in Guitar Mode only.)

  4. ADAPTIVE DISPLAY ORIENTATION INDICATORS show the current display direction. The display will automatically flip to stay oriented for viewing at all times.

  5. MAIN DISPLAY shows the pitch of all strings in Polyphonic Tuning Mode and the individual pitch of the currently-tuned string in Chromatic/Strobe Tuning Mode.

  6. SECONDARY DISPLAY shows the detected note name for the currently-tuned string in Chromatic Tuning Mode.

Chromatic Mode
In Chromatic Mode, a single string’s pitch is indicated by a column of five LEDs in the MAIN DISPLAY, and the target pitch’s name appears in the SECONDARY DISPLAY.
Tune the string until the column of LEDs is centered and “on target” (left = flat; right = sharp).

Strobe Mode

In Strobe Mode, a single string’s pitch has two indicators:

  • Red LEDs to the left (flat) or right (sharp) of the center LED column
  • “Rotating” segments in the display

Tune the string until the rotating segments slow down and stop, and only the center column of LEDs lights up.

Polyphonic Tuning
In Polyphonic Tuning Mode, strum your guitar, and PolyTune Clip will analyze and display the tuning for all strings. In-tune strings will be represented by two green LEDs. Out- f-tune strings will be indicated by two red LEDs below (flat) or above (sharp) the center row.

Changing Reference Pitch

The default reference pitch (A = 440 Hz) can be changed by following these steps:

  1. Press the DISPLAY MODE button and TUNING MODE button simultaneously. The display will show the current reference pitch (e.g., “440” for 440 Hz).
  2. To increase the reference pitch in 1 Hz steps, press the TUNING MODE button.
  3. To decrease the reference pitch in 1 Hz steps, press the DISPLAY MODE button.
  4. To store the currently-displayed reference pitch, refrain from pressing either button for 2 seconds. The set reference pitch will blink 3 times.
