Safety Instructions

  • Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
  • This device is not suitable for ordinary lighting in household room illumination.
  • Class III equipment.
  • IP class 54. This appliance is suitable for outdoor use.
  • This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • For non-replaceable light sources: The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
  • Do not use the luminaire with a cracked or broken protective shield. Disconnect immediately from the power source. The protective shield is not replaceable.
  • Do not use the appliance in explosive atmospheres or in the presence of flammable materials, liquids, gases and dust.
  • Protect this appliance from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Keep a switched-on appliance at a distance of at least 1 m from walls and other objects.
  •  Do not look directly into the light source and do not shine directly into the eyes.

General Guidelines

  • Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
  • All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
  • Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
  • Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
  • Nor Velleman nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage (extraordinary, incidental or indirect) – of any nature (financial, physical…) arising from the possession, use or failure of this product.
  • Keep this manual for future reference.

Battery Charging

This device contains an internal rechargeable battery. When the device reaches end-of-life, it must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Fully charge the battery prior using the device (± 6 h). Failure to do so may decrease the life of the internal battery. It is strongly recommended to maintain the battery at 60 % charge when the device is not in use.

  1. To charge the appliance, locate the charging port at the back of the appliance and lift the protection clip.
  2. Insert the charging cable into the charging port and connect to the power source. You can read the battery power level from the LEDs.
  3. Unplug the charging cable from the work light after charging.

Use

  1. Make sure the appliance is fully charged.
  2. Press the on-off button on the back to switch on the appliance.
  3. Press the on-off button repeatedly to select the low – med – high mode.
  4. Press the on-off button on the back to switch off the appliance.

The operating times of this appliance may vary depending on the working conditions and the amount of charge in the battery at the time of use. To achieve the best performance always switch the appliance off when the battery power begins to run low, and recharge immediately. Only use the appliance with the included accessories. Using a non-compatible cable/charger could cause damage to the appliance.

Care and Maintenance

Storage
Store the appliance and its accessories in a clean and dry area.

Cleaning
Before starting any cleaning or maintenance activities, unplug the appliance from its power source and let it cool down.
Wipe all exterior surfaces of the appliance clean with a soft cloth dampened with a soap and water solution. Do not immerse or submerge any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never use solvents or cleaning agents containing petroleum (petrol, kerosene, oil), paint thinner, turpentine, alcohol, or ammonia.

Maintenance
All repairs should only be carried out by qualified service personnel. Do not open exterior casing of the appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Opening or visible attempts to open or repair the appliance may void any guarantee and/or cause damage to the product or personal injury. Never attempt to open the battery pack. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery. If accidental contact occurs, flush the affected area with water. If the liquid comes into contact with the eyes, flush with water and seek medical help. Liquid ejected from batteries may cause irritation or burns. Never attempt to incinerate batteries as they may leak or explode.
