Before first use
Read and follow the instructions in this instruction manual even if you feel
you are familiar with the product and find a place to keep it handy for future
reference.
For your convenience, record the complete model number (located on the product
identification plate) and the date you received the product, together with
your purchase receipt, and attach it to the warranty and service information.
Retain in the event that warranty service is required.
Note: The rating of this product (as marked on the product identification
plate) is based in specific loading tests. Normal use or the use of other
recommended attachments may draw significantly less power.

PRODUCT.

When using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
- Carefully read all instructions before the operation of the appliance, and store them in a safe place for future reference.
- To eliminate a potential choking hazard for young children, remove and discard the protective cover that is fitted to the power plug of the appliance.
- Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage, frequency, and rating as indicated on the product identification plate.
- Do not place the appliance near the edges of benches or tables during operation. Ensure that the surface the appliance is placed upon is level, clean, and free of water.
- Keep the appliance a minimum distance of 200mm from walls, curtains, and other heat or steam-sensitive areas/materials.
- Do not place on or near a gas burner, electric element, or in or near a heated oven.
- Do not use the appliance on a sink or drainboard.
- To protect yourself and others from the risk of electric shocks, do not immerse the power cord or temperature control probe in water or any other liquid, or allow moisture to come into contact with these parts.
- Always remove the plug before cleaning the appliance.
- Before operating this kettle for the first time, please read the instruction manual thoroughly and carefully.
- Ensure the instruction manual, guarantee certificate, sales receipt and if possible the carton with the inner packaging is stored in a safe place.
- This kettle is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use.
- Switch off the kettle and remove the plug from the socket when the kettle is not used, When disconnecting the power, grasp and pull the plug, never the cord/cable. · Switch off the kettle before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- Keep the kettle out of reach of children. Do not leave children unsupervised with the kettle.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance in a safe manner and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by a child unless they are older than 8 and are supervised. The appliance can also be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe manner and understand the hazards involved. Children and infirm persons shall not play with the appliance.
- Test the kettle and the cord/cable regularly for any damage. Check that the kettle is operating properly. If there is any damage of any kind or if the kettle is not operating as intended, stop use of the kettle and unplug it immediately.
- Do not attempt to repair the kettle yourself, only authorized and qualified personnel may repair this kettle.
- Keep the kettle and cord/cable away from heat, direct sunlight, water, moisture, sharp edges, and any other similar factors.
- Only use accessories that have been approved by the manufacturer, do not connect incompatible products.
- Do not use the kettle outdoors.
- The base and exterior of the kettle are not water-resistant. Ensure it is kept dry at all times.
- Under no circumstances must the kettle be placed in water, or any other liquid, and must not come into contact with liquids. Do not handle the kettle with wet or moist hands. Should the kettle become wet, remove the main plug from the socket immediately.
- Do not touch the contents of the kettle. · Use the kettle only for its intended purpose.
- The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
- If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
- Avoid water spillage on the connector during use.
- WARNING: If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
Precautions for the kettle
- The water level must be between the MIN. (Minimum) and MAX. (Maximum) marks.
- Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
- Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed when boiling.
- The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
- The kettle body used must match with the kettle base.
Parts and features
First use of the kettle
- Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boil it twice without any additives or cleaners.
- When filling the kettle with water, do not overfill it. Use the water level indicator on the kettle.
- Place the kettle on the base.
- Ensure the power socket is of the same electrical voltage as that of the kettle. The exact voltage and frequency of the kettle can be found on its product identification plate, positioned at the base of the kettle.
- Only connect the kettle to a properly installed socket of the same voltage and frequency.
- Switch on the kettle, the light indicator will indicate the water is boiling. · After boiling, the kettle will switch off automatically.
- Disconnect the kettle from the main power supply.
- Pour out the liquid. DO NOT OPEN THE LID WHEN POURING.
- This appliance is intended for use in households and similar applications such as employee kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments, and farmhouses. By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments. Bed and breakfast type environments.
Maintenance
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
- Never immerse the kettle in water or any other liquid.
- From time to time, depending on your water supply, scaled water will begin to naturally form and can be mostly found adhered to the heating element, thus reducing heat efficiency.
- The amount of scale deposited (and subsequently the need to clean or rescale) largely depends on the water hardness in your area and the frequency in which the kettle is used.
- A boiled scale is not harmful to your health. But if you into your beverage, it can give a powdery taste to your drink. Therefore, the kettle should be descaled periodically as indicated below.
Descaling your kettle
Descale the kettle regularly. With average usage, descale the kettle at least twice a year.
- Fill the kettle up to the “MAX” line with a mixture of ordinary vinegar and water at a ratio of 1:2. Switch the kettle on and wait for the boiling to stop automatically.
- Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
- Discard the mixture the next morning.
- Fill the kettle with clean water up to the “MAX” line and boil again.
- Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
- Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
Cleaning
Always remove the plug from the main power supply before cleaning the kettle. The exterior of the kettle should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth without additives.
