Interface introduction
This wireless trainer unit has a micro USB interface and Bluetooth port.
Micro USB interface
The wireless trainer unit can realize both power supply and trainer
function through this micro USB interface.
• Power supply through the micro USB interface: Flysky FSXC002,
FS-XC003 or FS-XC004 cables are required to realize the power supply through
the micro USB interface. All three cables are equipped with the power supply
interface. The supply power for the unit is implemented through this
interface.
Bluetooth Port
The wireless trainer unit is connected to the transmitter through the
Bluetooth port to transfer channel data. You can view the information related
to the unit on the main interface of the transmitter.
- Power supply through the Bluetooth port: Connect the wireless trainer unit to the Bluetooth port of the transmitter.
Notes: (1) The power supply of the micro USB interface and Bluetooth port
is provided independently. The Bluetooth power supply is preferred.
(2) If you don’t use the Bluetooth port, please don’t take off the Bluetooth
port protective cover. This is for the protection of the Bluetooth port.
Connecting to the Bluetooth port of PL18 is showing on the left, for your reference.
Switch introduction
The three-level switch (AFHDS 2A/AFHDS3/UPD) corresponds to the three options
of AFHDS 2A and AFHDS 3 protocol binding communication and wireless update
mode respectively. Please select the corresponding switch position according
to the actual transmitter’s wireless protocol. In addition, you need to check
whether the firmware needs to be updated so as to determine the switch
position.
Notes: (1) The three-level switch needs to be set before power-on. It
enters this configured mode after power-on.
(2) If you reset the three-level switch mode while the wireless trainer unit
is in use, this operation is invalid.
Realize trainer function
If you choose Flysky transmitter without a Bluetooth port and a non-Flysky
transmitter as a trainer transmitter, please choose Flysky FS-XC002, FS-XC003
and FS-XC004 cables to connect the wireless trainer unit to the transmitter
according to the actual interface of the transmitter. The student transmitter
must be a Flysky transmitter, which is also compatible with AFHDS 2A/AFHDS3
protocol. The connection reference diagram is as below.

Binding
The wireless trainer unit automatically enters bind mode after power-on.
-
If the wireless trainer unit is connected to the Bluetooth port of the transmitter, then the wireless trainer unit will power by the transmitter, the wireless trainer unit
needs to bind with another transmitter. The trainer function can be realized after the binding is complete. -
If the wireless trainer unit is powered by a USB interface, then the wireless trainer unit should bind with either of the two transmitters. After the binding is successful,
connect the other transmitter to the other end of the USB cable to realize the trainer function.
As an example, follow the following steps for binding, if the wireless trainer unit is connected to the Bluetooth port of the transmitter:
- Power on the transmitter that needs to bind with this wireless trainer unit, then let it in the binding state.
- Connect the wireless trainer unit to another transmitter, then power on the transmitter. The wireless trainer unit enters the binding state after power-on. And it is
in the state of waiting for the completion of the binding.
Notes:
- Please set the three-level switch before the wireless trainer unit is powered on. For example, if the transmitter uses AFHDS3 protocol, toggle the three-level switch to this position.
- When the binding is successful, the LED indicator is always on. During the binding, if the binding is not completed within 10s, the LED indicator enters the flashing slowly and idle state.
- After the binding is completed, there is no need to bind again when it is to be powered on next time.
Firmware update
After the three-level switch is set to UPD position, power on the wireless trainer unit and it enters the firmware updating state.
- When the wireless trainer unit is waiting for updating, the LED indicator will be in a state of three-time flashing and one-off.
- You can update the firmware of the wireless trainer unit by the RX update function of the transmitter and select the corresponding model of the wireless trainer unit for updating. You can also update it through a suitable PC to complete the firmware updating. Meanwhile, the corresponding model of the unit needs to be selected. For details, please refer to the instruction of the Flysky transmitter about the RX update.
Attention:
- Make sure the unit is installed correctly, failure to do so may result in serious injury.
- Make sure the unit is powered off before turning off the transmitter, failure to do so may lead to unintended operation or loss of control.
- Make sure the unit is mounted away from motors or any device that emits excessive electrical noise.
- Keep the antenna of the unit at least 1cm away from conductive materials such as carbon or metal.
- Do not power on the receiver during the setup process to prevent loss of control.
