As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts are electrically live even when the switch is off. To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:

1. Always ‘unplug it’ immediately after using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in the shower.
3. Do not place in or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, ‘unplug it’ immediately. Do not reach into the water.
6. Unplug the device before cleaning it.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury to persons:

• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or individuals with certain  disabilities.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance  to a service center for examination and repair.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance.
• Never use while sleeping.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
• This appliance is hot when in use. Do not let eyes or bare skin touch heated surfaces.
• Do not place the heated parts directly on any surface while it is hot or plugged in.
• The supplier plug on this appliance has one blade wider than the other. It is a polarized plug. As a safety feature, this plug will fit in polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to bypass this safety feature.
• Always store the complete appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not store it in temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C).
• Intended for household use only.
• Do not plug or unplug when hands are wet or moist.
• Use handles to avoid scaling. Do not handle from plates. They are hot.
• Do not operate the appliance in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes and/or liquids.
• Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the appliance. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons, in order to avoid any risks.
• Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped into water.
• Do not store the appliance immediately after use. Wait until it is completely cool before storing.
• For additional protection, we advise you to install a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
• Do not use the appliance for purposes other than styling human hair.
• Keep the appliance away from non-heat-resistance surfaces and never cover the appliance with anything (e.g., clothing or towels) when it’s hot.
• Do not pull or wrap power cord around the appliance.
• Attachments may get hot in use. Use care when handling them.
• Do not put the appliance down while it is operating.
• Check that the voltage rating of this appliance matches that of your supply.
• Position the power supply lead so that it is not likely to be walked on or pinched by things placed on or against them.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

What to do before first use:

• Remove the packaging material and inspect the device for damage.
• Do not operate the device if it is damaged in any way. Return it to your seller immediately.
• Only connect the appliance to a mains socket with the mains voltage indicated on the rating plate.
• When disconnecting the power cord from the power outlet, pull only on the plug. Never pull on the cord.
• Be aware that some surfaces may become hot. Do not touch and supervise others accordingly. The unit is VERY HOT when in use. Take care to avoid contact between the hot surface and bare skin, particularly around the ears, face, and neck when in use.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Warning! Only use the device externally.

• The appliance is only intended for styling human hair.
• Any improper use can be dangerous!
• Preparing the hair: Wash your hair and dry it well. Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use hairspray or other flammable chemical hair care products.
• Plug in the appliance.
• Curling Method:

1.  Plug the curling tong cord into any household outlet (110V-240V).
2. Push the switch plate to “ON”, the indicator light will illuminate. The tong will heat up very quickly. The top temperature will be about 374°C ± 50°F. NEVER LEAVE YOUR CURLING TONG ON AND UNATTENDED.
3. Take a hair strand between 2 and 4cm. Hold the curler horizontally and point it away from your head and face. Place the curler near the roots and wrap the hair around from root to tip. For the first time curling it is better to take less hair. Wind the hair up as far as you want it curled, be careful and not let the tong touch the scalp. Hold for 5-8 seconds, it depends on the texture and length of your hair. If you want to have much tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair at a time, for loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair every time.
4. Release the hair tip and glide the curler out of your hair – do not unwrap the strands!
   • When you are finishing styling, switch off the appliance, unplug the -appliance and allow it to completely cool down before cleaning or storing.

USER MAINTINANCE INSTRUCTIONS

CLEANING

Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the appliance surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit. Care should be taken not to touch this part of the appliance when it is switched on our just after it has been turned off. ALLOW AT LEAST 30 MINUTES TO COOL DOWN BEFORE PUTTING AWAY.

STORAGE

Unplug the appliance, allow to cool, and store in its box or in a dry place. Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Never hang the unit by the cord. Store the cord loosely coiled. Do  not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

WARRANTY

• The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year, starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
