Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why does it keep beeping when my headphones are on?
The Bluetooth audio adapter can set up a connection with two devices. When the adapter was connected to more than two cell phones, and it was turned on, it will connect back to the last two phones. But if the adapter is only connected back to one device, it will search for another cell phone, “beep” sound which means it hasn’t found the Bluetooth signal of another cell phone. If you only used one cell phone, you can remove the pairing device of the adapter to eliminate the “beep” sound. The method is as follows: When the adapter was turned on but not connected to devices, press and hold the power button and volume “-” together at the same time for 5 seconds to remove the pairing device, and the adapter will enter the pairing mode automatically. And then activate the Bluetooth function of the cell phone to search for the Bluetooth device. The adapter only has one paired device storage at this point and will not keep beeping after being connected.

  • Can you use this as a controller for my music I have wired headphones plugged into my phone and this device is in my hand with no wires connected?
    No

  • Can it be paired with an iPad?
It can easily be paired with an iPad via the Bluetooth standard.

  • Has anyone had issues with this occasionally only working in one ear? It happens for a few seconds and then goes back to both. It’s plugged in tight.
Yes But I thought it was my headphones. Because when I pulled them out and plugged them back in it worked again

  • Is this aptx low latency?
I haven’t confirmed this yet, but I can safely conclude that this device does NOT support Aptx-LL. Using this with my electric drum kit as a transmitter (at the headphone output jack on the drum module) results in completely unusable, highly delayed, high-latency transmission. For example, I’ll hit a pad and hear the sound in my headphones (which DO support Aptx-LL) almost a second later). I obviously had to switch to a wired connection. Other than that, it works well for very basic purposes.

  • Is there any way to reduce the volume of the lady’s voice that advises “incoming call”, “call ended”, “power on”, and “power off”?
As far as the way mine works, there’s one set of volume controls and they seem to adjust the voice announcements and the playback volume together.

  • Does it work for tv and 2 wireless headphones?
It is a wireless audio receiver. It can receive Bluetooth signals but cannot transmit. It doens’t support multipoint conenction. If your TV support Bluetooth function, this receive could connect to your TV. After connecting your TV and this receiver, you can use a standard AUX audio cable( package included) to connect your TV to a home stereo, portable speaker and etc. Or you can directly plug a wired earphone into this receiver and turn the wired earphones to become wireless.

  • Can this BT adapter be used with an external headset (i want to use the microphone built into the headset, not the microphone on the device)?
This device will NOT use a microphone in a headset that is plugged into the device. The device will continue to use the device’s microphone, and NOT the headset’s microphone.

  • Does volume control work when acting as a receiver?
Yes, it does, but the mine only lasted 2 weeks. I do not recommend this receiver.

  • If I hit the off button, does it skip ahead 30 seconds while listening to podcasts?
We suggest you install an app called” REMOTE” on your iPhone, it might be helpful.

  • Does this work with a Samsung Galaxy tablet for amazon music if I have my wired headphones plugged into my tablet?
I’ve gotten more questions about this piece of equipment than anything else I bought I never got one to work for me so I sent both of them back they never worked they wouldn’t link with my phone so I chose another brand and it works with my phone my phone is a Note 8 and it works fine.

  • Can I control just volume, play & pause the music but still have sound come from my Bluetooth speakers?
I don’t think so. Sound from the paired Bluetooth source device is disabled when using the adapter. The controls only affect what is connected to the headphone jack on the adapter.

  • Why does a portable wireless adapter 3.5mm start to make a beeping sound and then eventually quit?
Most likely because the battery is low and needs to charge. It will also shut off if there is no connection for too long.

  • How to unpair from all previous devices?
Not sure but I’d think you just go to the Bluetooth setting on each device, tap on the information button on the Apek line and tell your computer or phone etc to forget the device.
