WARRANTY
This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures which are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and also by persons with a physical or sensorly limitation, as well as mentally limited persons or persons
with a lack of experience and knowledge. But only on the
condition that these persons have received the necessary instructions on how to use this appliance in a safe way and know the dangers that can occur by using this appliance.
Children cannot be allowed to play with the appliance. Maintenance and cleaning of the appliance may not be done by children, unless they are older than 8 years old and are under supervision.
Keep the appliance out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.
This appliance is suitable to be used in a household environment and in similar surroundings such as:

  • Kitchen for personnel of shops, offices or other similar professional surroundings
  • Farms
  • Hotel or motel rooms and other surroundings with a residential character
  • Guest rooms or similar

Attention: This appliance cannot be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.

WARNING

  • Hot surfaces.
  • The handle comes warm during use.
  • Keep children at a safe distance.

Read this manual carefully before using this appliance

  • Never use the appliance if it is damaged.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Only use the appliance indoors and be careful with hot areas and materials such as curtains, tablecloths, etc.
  • Preferably use a heat resistant mat underneath the appliance base is flat and level.
  • To remove the plug from the socket hold onto the plug and never pull on the electric lead.
  • Prevent the plug and electric lead from coming into contact with hot parts.
  • Allow the appliance to cool off completely before cleaning or storing it.
  • Use only the parts supplied by the manufacturer.
  • Never touch any hot parts while the appliance is switched on and being used.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended
  • Make sure nothing can touch the heating element.
  • Do not move the appliance when it is warm or hot.
  • Clean the appliance directly after use because it has been in contact with foodstuffs.
  • Keep the appliance free of oil on its parts. Oil is very inflammable.
  • Never use any sharp objects such as knives or forks on the different parts, always use wooden spoons/spatulas.
  • Carefully clean the appliance and the little pans before using them for them first time. (See: Cleaning).
  • The heating element may release a small amount of smoke and smell when using the appliance for the first time.
  • This is completely normal and harmless. For this reason, allow the appliance 10 minutes of preheating time to burn any remaining residues.
  • Preferably place the appliance on a surface that is easy to clean.
  • Switch the Raclette-grill on with the ON/OFF switch.
  • Always preheat the appliance for a minimum of 5 minutes.
  • To prevent stains on your table linen it is advisable to use either a heat-resistant mat or an easily washable mat underneath the appliance.

GRILLING

  1. Preheat he grill sufficiently.
  2. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the griddle.
  3. Cut meat and vegetables into small pieces to shorten cooking time.
  4. In the special cutaway you can chose to fry eggs or small pancakes.

RACLETTES

  • For raclettes allow approximately 200-250g special raclette cheese per person. Cut the cheese into thin 2mm slices.
  • Lay the cheese in the little raclette pans and place these on the appliance. The cheese will take 3-4 minutes. Do not overfill the pans.
  • Combinations can be created with onions, gherkins, ham, lettuce, potatoes and baguettes.
  • The raclette pans are suitable for frying eggs or small potatoes and even meat.
  • Only use the handles to hold the pans and make sure you do not heat up empty pans.

CLEANING

  1. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the electric socket before cleaning the appliance. Wait until the appliance has sufficiently cooled off.
  2. All external surfaces can be cleaned with a moist cloth or sponge. Possibly also with washing up liquid and water. Never use any sharp objects; always use a wooden scraper. Make sure that no water is allowed to get inside the appliance’s electrical circuitry.
  3. Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These may cause damage to the special non-stick layer.
  4. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other type of liquid. Never wash the appliance in a dishwasher.
  5. The pans can be immersed in water and are dishwasher-proof.
