Note: Due to the continuous updatinc of the product & software, there may be a discrepancy between this user guide and App interface. All the instructions are subject to the actual operation interface.

Product Overview
Camera Button
Power Button
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to turn the device on/off.
- Press 1 seconds to wake up the camera from the standby status.
Reset Button
- Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until camera sounds `bugu”, camera reset and restart automatically.
Indicator Light
Red
- Waiting for Wi-Fi connection, and start Add devices. the red light blink slowly.
- WiFi is connected. the red light blink quickly.
- Network is not normal, it stays red.
Blue
- Watch video or setup camera, the blue light blink slowly.
- Connected with phone and in standby mode, it stays blue.
NOTE: The indicator turns off when the power off.
Get the CloudEdge App
Download CloudEdge App
Option 1: Search and download the CloudEdge app from the App Store or
Google Play.
Option 2: You can scan below QR Code to download and install on the
smartphone.
Set Up in the CloudEdge App
Sign up for a Security account with e-mail, then follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the setup.
NOTE: Please turn on 2 permissions below when you use this app first time.
- Allow CloudEdge to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN, or it will be failed to add camera.
- Allow CloudEdge to receive pushed messages, or the phone will not receive an alarm push when motion detection or audible alarm is triggered.
Add Device to Phone App
Insert SD card
Please insert the Micro SD card (Not Included) to record videos when motion detected and playback. (Support up to 128G)
NOTE: Please insert the SD card before power on, otherwise, the SD card cannot be read.
Turn On Camera
Press and hold the camera power button for 5 seconds to turn it on. If it doesn’t turn on, please charge it with power adapter (DC5 V 1 A / 2 A) for 15 minutes to wake it up.
NOTE: DC5 V 1 A / 2 A power adapter is not included Please make sure the indicator lamps slowly blinks in red before connecting the Wi-Fi.
Connect the Camera to the Wi-Fi
Bring the camera within 1 to 3 feet (30 to 100 centimeters) of the phone and router.
NOTE: The camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Setting in the App
Optional 1: Connecting by Scanning the QR Code
Step 1: Login in, tap + and select ” Battery Camera”
Step 2: Press the power button to wake the device if it is asleep.
Step 3: Hold the reset button for 5 seconds, after hearing the “bugu”
sound, the indicator flashing red and tap “next”.
Step 4: Select 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and enter a password, tap “next'”.
Step 5: Align the QR code on your mobile devices with the lens of the
camera and keep a distance of 5-8 inches. After the devices recognize the QR
code, it will sound ” bugu”, tap “next”.
Step 6: Congratulations! Connect successfully and start the experience.
Optional 2: Connecting the camera by AP Hotspot If the camera can’t be connected by scanning the QR code, a prompt of The device not found will be displayed on the i nterface of Wi-Fi Setup. Please tap other methods to connect the camera by AP Hotspot.
Step 1: Tap “Help” and choose “More Options” Step 2: Tap “Manual
Configure” .
Step 3: Hold the reset button for 5 seconds to reset the device. After
hearing the “bugu” sound, tap “Next”. Step 4: On the page of Wi-Fi Setup tap
“Next”.
Step 5: Tap Connect to enter the Wi-Fi setting of your mobile device,
then connect to the Wi-Fi of STRN
Step 6: After the Wi-Fi of STRN XXXXXX is connected please get back to
CloudEdge App to start connecting the camera.
Step 7: Device found stands for a successful connection then tap Done to
start the experience.
Device Manual
Devices: Show all the connected cameras and cameras being shared
Messages: Alarm Messages will show all the videos recorded after tapping
on the preview camera image you’d like to check, then tap on the left to watch
the videos recorded.
System Messages contains system operation logs
Live Video
- A. Setting

Settings: Tap “…” to enter detailed settings of the camera. You can check more about it in the section of Settings on page 14.
Battery Capacity: Show the power status of the camera. If the power is less than 2 bars, please charge the camera timely.
Image Quality: Tap SD to switch the image quality between HD and SD is recommended for smoother streaming.
Wi-Fi signal: If the percentage is lower than 80%, the camera may be disconnected, please move your camera to be closer to your router for better signal.
Screenshot: Tap to capture the current live picture and save it to your mobile devices.
Intercom: Hold and talk to people through the camera.
Record: Tap to start recording the current live streaming; tap again to end and save it to the internal storage of your mobile device.
Body Detection: The option is ON by default. When the camera detects the movements of the human body, it will start to record video. If you switch it off, you can only watch the live picture
Video Playback: Tap on History to play the videos recorded in the Micro
SD card (not included)
Timeline: Slide leftward and rightward on the timeline to watch the video recorded.
Calendar: Tap to show a calendar, then tap the date with the Green
background to play the video recorded on the selected date.
Screenshot: After sliding to the green color on the timeline, tap to capture a
picture and save to your mobile device.
Record: After sliding to the Blue color on the timeline, tap to start recording the video, then tap again to end and save it to the internal storage of your mobile devices.
Alarm: Check the starting time of every alarm when the camera detects the movements of the human body.
Tap on the cloud to play the videos recorded in the cloud if there is a cloud plan subscribed.
If you have installed a Micro SD card and subscribed to a cloud plan, then the
videos will be recorded in the Micro SD card and cloud at the same time.
Settings
Receive Notifications: Turn it on and allow CloudEdge App to push notification.
Device Share: Share your video with others.
Device Information: Check the quality of your network.
Basic Function
- Rotate View: Flip the live video when mounting the camera on the ceiling if it’s ON.
- Night Vision: Turn on/off the night vision when the ambient lighting is dark.
- Speaker Volume: Adjust the volume of the camera’s speaker.
- Power Management: Check the remaining power of the camera battery.
Detection Alarm: Set up the sensitivity of the camera, including Low and High.
SD Card: Check the remaining capacity of the Micro SD card or format the card.
Cloud Storage Service(Optional): Tap it to subscribe a cloud plan.
Version: Check the version of the firmware.
Physical Installation
Install camera
Please fix the bracket first, then install the camera
- If it is a wooden wall, you can use the nails provided by the product to fix the bracket and the wall.
- If it is cement wall or ceramic tile wall, please use the electric drill to drill the hole in the wall and then install the bracket, and install it with the expansion screw provided by the product.
- Rotate the button counterclockwise to instantly remove the camera.
Mounting Location
When installing the camera, the PR sensor should not be vertically aligned
with the moving object, as it may not detect movement. It is recommended that
the camera be tilted more than 10 degrees to capture all motion.
Battery Management
Charge the camera
Charge with the 5V/1A power adapter and align the USB icon to insert the USB port 1.When the power adapter is connected to the USB port, the indicator will stay red. 2.When the power is 100%, the indicator will stay blue.
Battery capacity
If there are no movements of the human body detected when the camera is powered on, the camera will enter sleep mode.
- If the battery is less than 20%, the app will send a notification to remind you to charge.
- If your battery capacity is used up too fast, the possible cause is that the camera wakes up too often. It is recommended to lower the Sensitivity of “Body Detection” or occasionally turn it off.
Key Features Overview
Body Detection
PIR “Detection Alarm” is on by default and the Default sensitivity is “high”, but it is adjustable. ” Settings”-“Detection Alarm” – “Body Detection “. The detection distance is 10 meters (32ft).

NOTE: Higher sensitivity offers longer detecting distance, but it would lead to more false alarms. It is recommended to set the sensitivity level to “Low” when installing the camera outdoors.
Night Vision
When the camera is turned on in night vision mode, if there is obstruction
within three meters of the lens, infrared rays will have a concentrating
effect, which will cause the obstruction part to be extremely bright, and
other screens will be darker, and the night vision effect will be poor.
(No matter where the camera is installed, make sure there are no obstacles
within 3 meters of the lens).
Alarm Notification and Playback
- The battery camera only records video to Micro SD card when the PIR sensor detected human body motion events.
- When PIR is triggered, the camera and system work as follows:

- Alarm snapshot and video record on Micro SD Card Notes: Please enable CloudEdge App notification in mobile setting and insert Micro SD card.
- You can playback the motion videos on the CloudEdge App wherever you are.
Share Your Device with Your Family
Step 1: Add your Family’s account in App Note: Your family needs to
register the CloudEdge App before you add.
Step 2: Family Agrees to the request.
Step 3: Share video to your Family
Tips for Reducing False Alarms
- Make sure the PIR sensor of the camera is not facing bright sunlight, lamps, mirrors, etc.
- Do not mount the camera in the place with moving vehicles or streaming people.
- Stay away from air vents of an air conditioner or heating devices, to maximize the accuracy of the alarms.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, like Wi-Fi routers, phones, to avoid signal interference.
- Please do not search or squeeze the PIR sensor to avoid lowering its detection sensitivity.
Troubleshooting Guide
Ql. Why I can not connect the camera with my phone?
- Please confirm the Wi-Fi name and password
- Please confirm the Wi-Fi is 2.4G, it does not support 5G Wi-Fi.
- Please check if the camera and mobile are close to your router, or if the camera and mobile connect the same Wi-Fi
- After configured success, if ever reset the camera, you need to configure connecting again
Q2. Why I can not get phone app notification alert?
- CloudEdge “Settings”> “Receive Notification”> Enable the button
- Please check whether you allow notifications for “CloudEdge” on your phone setting Phone settings> notification &status bar> notifications management> click “CloudEdge” > “allow notifications”
- Please check if the “Body detection” button enabled on the app live viewing interface.
- Default do not send alert notification when watching live video.
Q3. Why there is no voice when I receive the alert notification?
Please check if the “In-App Alert Sound ” enabled on “Me” Interface of App.
Q4. Why there is no motion recording?
- Please check if there is an SD card or not
- Please check if CloudEdge “Settings” > “SD Card” is with enough space or in normal status
- Please check if the “Body Detection” button is enabled on the app live watching screen
