Eevi Life Pendant (White) – Post-shipping/Setup Instructions

Our Eevi Life Pendant (White) aka EV-04/GEM4 gets shipped with a booklet that contains an insert instructing the client to call us when the device arrives. This doc contains some information to provide the client with, setup instructions, and a walkthrough of a test call to Tunstall (the monitoring center for these devices).

This is the insert sent out with the Eevi Life Pendant:eevi-.EV04
-Personal-Medical-Alarm-FIG-8

Once it arrives with the client, we should expect a call. The purpose of that call is to familiarise the client with the pendant (how to raise an alarm, how to charge it, a quick explanation that GPS will work best outside, and explain that invoices will begin after the first 3 free months). To initiate the test call to Tunstall, the SOS button is held for 2 seconds, it will then vibrate and the button can be released. The call sequence will begin.

The following are some points you might like to discuss with the client:

  • The GPS on the device works best outside. The response center will have difficulty accurately locating you inside, particularly in a multi-level building like a shopping center
  • The Eevi Life Pendant is charged by placing it in the charging dock. We suggest that you do this every night to ensure a full day of charge.
  • When unboxing the pendant, there are a few things you will find.
  • There is a lanyard to attach if you wish to wear the pendant around your neck
  • There is the charging base unit, a cable, and a charging brick – attach the smaller end of the cable into the charging base unit and the larger USB side into the charging brick. The charging brick can then be plugged into a power point
