  3.  When movement or instability is detected, “UnSt” will display. Ensure items are placed on the center of the scale’s weighing platform, and that the scale is on a level platform.

OPERATING THE SCALE

  • Install 3 new AAA batteries.
  • Place the scale on a flat even surface.
  • Press the Power/Tare button to turn on the scale.
  • Press the Unit button to change the unit of measurement between: g/ oz / ml/ lb/ Ib:oz / kg
  • Tare: The Tare button can be used to zero the weight of an empty container, plate, cup or bowl, so that the scale only measures what is placed inside the container. The Tare button can also be used to determine individual weights of items added within the same measuring session (i.e., 5 grams of this, 7 grams of that, etc). To Tare a measurement, place the empty container on the scale and press the Tare button. The scale will reset to zero and display the TARE symbol on the LCD. Then add your ingredients. [Note: due to a programming quirk, the TARE symbol will not display on the LCD if the container’s weight is less than 100 g (0.1 kg), but the Tare function will still work as described.
  • To deactivate TARE, simply press the Power/Tare button to reset the scale to ‘0’.

Note: This scale measure to the nearest 0.5 g/ 0.01 oz. In the case of grams (g), the scale will round to the nearest halt gram as follows:

  • For X.0, X.1, X.2, the scale will round to X.0 grams
  • For X.3, X.4, X.5, X.6, X.7, the scale will round to X.5 grams
  • For X.8, X.9, the scale will round to X+1.0 grams
  • To turn off the Scale, first ensure there is nothing on the weighing platform (the LCD should display zero). Then press and hold the Power/Tare button”.
