HeatTrak HR-Wireless Remote Control and Wireless Outlet
FEATURES
- Easily control your HeatTrak Mats from up to 100 feet away.
- Remote Control has separate on and off buttons and an activation light.
- Wall hook to hang the Outdoor Outlet in a downward-facing position.
- The outdoor Outlet will remain powered off after a power outage to save energy.
- The outdoor Outlet can hold up to 1875W (15A) at 125V (60Hz)
- Easy to pair the Outdoor Outlet and Remote Control.
SETUP
- Turn over the Remote Control (keychain) , open hatch and install the battery (included).
- Plug your HeatTrak Mats into this device, making sure the outlets face downwards away from falling rain & snow.
- Press either the on or off button on the remote control to turn your HeatTrak Mats on or off.
REMINDERS
- HeatTrak Mats do not need to be kept on at all times but should be powered on at least 1-hour before snow is expected and left on for 2-3 hours after all snow has melted.
- Do not exceed the maximum current load of 15 amps.
- For best performance, regularly change the battery in the remote control. If the Outdoor Outlet is not responding or the LED indicator is dim, the battery should be changed.
- Remote Control & Outdoor Outlet should be installed correctly for safe operation.
PROGRAMMING THE OUTDOOR OUTLET
This device is preprogrammed for immediate use.
TO PAIR OUTLET TO REMOTE CONTROL:
- Insert the Outdoor Outlet’s plug into an outdoor-safe power outlet.
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the Outdoor Outlet for 3-5 seconds until the blue LED indicator starts flashing slowly.
- Release the ON/OFF button on the Outdoor Outlet and press the OFF button on the remote control for 2 seconds to pair it to the Outdoor Outlet.
- After a few seconds, the blue indicator light should change from flashing to off to indicate the set up is complete.
- If pairing fails, please repeat.
- REMOTE CONTROL SETTINGS: Press the on button on the remote control, the red LED indicator will be on to show the device is working. Press the off button on the remote control, the red LED indicator will be off to show the device has stopped working.
RESETTING THIS DEVICE
The Outdoor Outlet can be unpaired and reprogrammed should it ever become unresponsive.
TO UNPAIR THE OUTDOOR OUTLET FROM THE REMOTE CONTROL:
- Press the programming button on the Outdoor Outlet until the indictor light begins to flash rapidly. Indicator flashing will change from slow to fast.
- Release the programming button, then press it once. Indicator light will turn off.
- All programming has been canceled.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, please strictly
follow these instructions.
- To prevent water immersion, the outlet must be mounted in a vertical position at least 2-feet above ground level with the outlets facing downward.
- Do not immerse in water.
- Do not connect any devices which may exceed the maximum 15 amps rating of this remote Outdoor Outlet.
- Do not disassemble or attempt to repair this product.
- Children should not use remote outlets without supervision.
- This product and its packaging are not intended to be used as toys and should be kept away from children at all time.
- Used batteries should be disposed of safely and environmentally.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the Outdoor Outlet doesn’t respond to the remote control:.
- Replace remote control battery.
- Check the Outdoor Outlet plug is securely placed into the power outlet.
- Reset and reprogram the device to the remote control.
- If the frequency from this remote control interferes with other remote controls, reprogramming it should eliminate interference. See instructions for “RESETTING THIS DEVICE”
WARRANTY
HeatTrak, LLC guarantees this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. Warranty is void if damage is caused by misuse or improper installation. Please contact us if you have any questions.
