ATTACH THE EXHAUST HOSE
The air conditioning unit requires ventilation to the outdoors so that exhaust (waste heat and moisture) can escape . Do not replace or extend exhaust hose. This will result in decreased efficiency or cause the unit to shut down due to low backpressure.

Step 1: Connect the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose.

Step 2: Connect the window kit adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose.

Step 3: Extend the adjustable window kit to the length of your window. Connect the exhaust hose to the window kit.

Step 4: Close your window to secure the kit in place. The window will need to hold the window kit firmly in place. You can secure the window kit with duct tape if necessary. It is recommended that the gap between the adapter and the sides of the window should be sealed for maximum efficiency.

Step 5: Attach the hose connector to the unit’s exhaust air outlet.

Step 6: Adjust the length of the flexible exhaust hose if necessary, but avoid creating bends or kinks in the hose. Place AC unit near an electrical outlet.

Step 7: Adjust the louver at the air outlet, then switch on the unit.

AUTOMATIC DEFROST
At low temperatures, frost may build up at the evaporator during operation. If this happens, the unit will automatically start defrosting and the POWER indicator light will blink. The defrost control sequence is as follows:

A. When the unit is operating in cooling or drying modes:
If the ambient temperature sensor senses the evaporator coil temperature is below 30°F, the compressor will stop operating for 10 minutes or until the coil temperature has risen to 45°F. Then, the unit will resume operation.
B. When the unit is operating in heating or drying modes:
If the AC compressor has been operating for 20 minutes or more, and the coil temperature sensor senses that the evaporator temperature is below 104° F and that the ambient room temperature is below 66°F, the unit will begin defrosting for 5 minutes and the power indicator will blink.

OVERLOAD PROTECTION
In the event of a power loss, there will be a 3-minute delay after power has been restored before the compressor will resume operation.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

DRAINAGE & SELF EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM
The unit’s self-evaporating system uses the collected water to cool the condenser coils for better efficiency. As a result, there is no need to empty the drainage tank when the unit is operating in cooling mode. However, i drying modes or in high humidity conditions, the drainage tank will need to be emptied. For continuous or unattended operation in drying modes, connect the unit’s drain hose to a bucket or drain in such a way that the waste water can flow by gravity into a suitable drain or container. See detailed instructions below:

  • Switch off and unplug unit.
  • Remove rubber plug from water outlet opening and place it somewhere safe.
  • Securely and properly connect the drain hose and ensure that it is not kinked or obstructed.
  • Position drain hose over a drain or bucket and ensure that water can freely flow out of the unit.
  • Do not submerge the end of hose in the water, as this could create an “air lock” and prevent the water from draining.

To avoid water spillage:

  • Tilt the drain hose downward toward the floor. It is appropriate that the degree of inclination should exceed 20 degrees.
  • Straighten hose to avoid trapping air or obstructing water flow.

CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

IMPORTANT: The unit’s air filter should be cleaned once every two weeks. As your unit operates, dust will collect on the filter and eventually restrict airflow. Restricted airflow reduces the efficiency of the unit and, if filter becomes entirely blocked, can cause damage to the unit. The air filter is removable for easy cleaning. Do not operate the unit without an air filter, or else the evaporator could be contaminated.

  1. Press POWER button to switch off the unit and unplug the power cord.
  2. Remove the mesh filter from the unit.
  3. Use a vacuum cleaner with hose attachment to suck dust from the filter.
  4. Turn the filter over and rinse the air filter under running water. Let the water run through the filter in the opposite direction of air flow. Set aside and allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.

Fig. 1. Fig. 1. Switch off the unit and remove the two air filters.

Fig. 2. Rinse the air filter under running water.

WARNING:
Do not touch the evaporator surface with bare hands. This could cause injury to fingers.

CLEANING UP REFRIGERANT

Important:

  1. Gas and vapor is heavier than air and can accumulate in confined spaces, particularly at or below ground level.
  2. Remove all potential sources of ignition from operating space.
  3. Use appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE).
  4. Evacuate unnecessary personnel. Isolate and ventilate area.
  5. DO NOT get refrigerant in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not inhale vapors or gas.
  6. Prevent entry of refrigerant into sewers and public waters.
  7. Stop the source of the release if safe to do so. Consider the use of water spray to disperse vapors.
  8. Isolate area until gas has dispersed. Ventilate and gas test area before entering. Contact competent authorities after a spill.

STORAGE
Long-Term Storage: If you will not be using the unit for an extended time (more than a few weeks), it is best to clean and dry the unit completely, then store it. Please store the unit per the following steps:

  1. Unplug the unit and remove exhaust hose and window kit to store with the unit.
  2. Drain remaining water from the unit.
  3. Clean the filter and let dry completely in a shaded area.
  4. Re-install the filter.
  5. Store the unit in an upright position.
  6. Store the unit in a well-ventilated, dry, and safe indoor space free of gas flow or any other potential source of ignition.

ATTENTION: The evaporator inside the machine must be dried out before the unit is packed to avoid component damage and mold. Unplug the unit and place it in a dry, open area for a few days to dry it out completely. As an alternative method, you can also turn on the machine, adjust it to low-speed ventilation mode, and operate it as such until the drainage pipe is dry. This will ensure that the inside of the unit is sufficiently dry and prevent mold formation during storage.

DISPOSAL

WARNING: Releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere is highly dangerous and strictly forbidden, and doing so intentionally is illegal.

IMPORTANT:
DO NOT dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate, designated collectionfacilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available in your area. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging health and well-being.
